My LGS fricking despises me

I see it on their faces every time I walk into the store. They snicker behind my back as I look at all of the AK's instead of a much more practical AY_Arr 15. They can tell I don't know what the frick I'm talking about. I asked if 7.62 was still cheap (I learned it was cheap through forums) the last time I went in and the bastard smirked and said "7.62 by what??" I just started stammering. He gave me this little smirk and said "You mean AK ammo???".

Sometimes I just go in there and walk around their cramped little store trying to soak up knowledge. The last time I was there 45 minutes just pacing because I couldn't find a rifle cleaning kit. I didn't want to look like a fricking idiot not buying anything but they only sold $3000 ARs or $1,200 AKs that should have been $800. 'Support your local gun store' they say. Next time I'll just save myself the embarrassment and shop at brownells.

I loved those wienersuckers like a brother, and they FRICK me in the ass!

Good way to get your guns molested by a bunch of poorly trained ass wipes behind closed doors. New 22? They gonna dry fire the frick out of it. New wheelgun? They gonna slam that cylinder shut all night long. New semi? Have fun buying a new ejector after they use the slide stop as a release. Have fun with that.

        This.

I have my transfers done at a guy who deals in antique firearms. I know for a fact that he finds my purchases disgusting and has absolutely no interest in them. I started doing this because previously I would have my nearest LGS do them and when I was picking up a CZ75 Compact the guy behind the counter was talking to be about it in a way that suggested he had been finger fricking it and its all metal so I could see the oily finger prints all over it.
        >we havent had one before
        >feels great in the hand
        >action is so smooth
I really didnt like that. I know you cant damage it by dryfiring or slamming the slide home once or twice, but its not yours dont fricking touch it. Been like 18 months and I still get irritated when I think about it. Now I have the based luddite boomer who hasnt touched a firearm made after 1950 since he was in 'nam. Dont even mind that I'm getting stiffed with $50 for transfers.

He's a wrong idiot, nothing happens to the ejector nothing happens to most semi autos, it's the 1911 sear that fricks up over time and it messes up their Wilson combat trigger feel so they big mad. Ejector is well almost never damaged the extractor can be if they load bullets directly into the barrel and the extractor jumps the crimp too many times not a lot of guns are designed for that in mind. If you let your employees do that you are rarted. I had a 18yo kid who worked for me that knew to treat the guns with respect, its not hard. Yes sometimes we would dryfire guns with snapcaps though. its good to know the firearm you are selling functions properly. No we didnt slam wheelguns thats stupid we didnt even really let people slam the slide release unless it was there own gun they either brought in or finished a purchase on. I prided myself in making sure you got a quality product (unless you bought some bs like a SCCY) and making sure you got something that was new, because the customer bought a new gun not a used one.

9x39 might as well not exist given that it's fairly uncommon and there's even less guns in the US that use it. 5.45 has a distinct diameter/name that's easy to identify.
Meanwhile, there's like six gorillion .30 caliber rounds, and while not ideal it's a decent way to distinguish 7.62x39mm.

I went to a local gun store in rural Ohio and they always had a shit ton of Soviet ammo I never saw anyone buy. They always had 5.45, tok ammo, and 9mm makarov. The only time I saw anyone buy any was when I took a friend shooting and he bought 5.45 instead of 5.56 on accident. This was also recent and I was in the area for like 4 years.

Last time I went to a "local gun store" I dropped off the "custom" holster they made. Had it commissioned for an old gun I have. Service was a mess. Holster was a mess. Manlet with little-man syndrome and PTSD veterans had absolutely no clue. Charged me $100 for an unfinished, defective holster. They didn't even have my magazine when I picked up the holster and my gun. I had to meet the holster guy to pick it up (this is a $200 magazine, BTW). Holster automatically deactivated my cross-bolt safety, there was a huge gap into the trigger (I could touch the trigger with my finger when the gun was fully inserted into the holster), the bottom of the belt clip didn't even touch the body of the holster and he didn't even sand/buff the edges. He messed up the bluing on my piece too. Huge mistake. Took that thing back. Got a refund. Never going back.

We had an LGS in town that only had like 10 rifles in it. It was 9 AR's and a Century AK, all for double the MSRP. I genuinely don't know how they stayed open for as long as they did, because their FFL fees were insane and they were buttholes to everybody. One time my grandpa wrote a bad review on Google and the owner responded calling him a liar, and like 30 people review bombed him, saying "Don't talk about Charlie like that"

To be fair though, a Garrison 1911 would be a fricking terrible first gun, and cheapass Glock clones are a great way to get started. They're really simple to clean and operate without all of the stupid shit that ypu have to put up with in a Glock, compared to the 1911's moronic takedown procedure and ammo pickiness and more specifically Springfield's quality control

I've shot maybe 1000 rounds through this and the only frick ups I've had have been from not fully seating the magazine, which is a me issue. To be fair though, I don't shoot hollow points through it. Pic related is me showing off not having an idiot scratch

I'm not a very chatty person, so gun store clerks tend to think I have no idea about guns. I've had one try to sell me a binary trigger by saying "do you like full auto?"

Every scratch on my 1911 is an idiot scratch.
          Who even cares?
Take her out and bang that shit out of her.

Just so you know, the guys at the LGS are making fun of you if you talk about idiot scratches. I was in there one time and they were talking shit about some guy bragging about how his AK doesn't have any scratches next to the fire selector

Cause I fricking own one, idiot
It works great, as long as I don't use hollow points or steel case or any magazine that isn't a Wilson Combat mag
Of course, that all goes out the window as soon as the feed ramp gets a little dirty

Always remember one cruel truth, Anon: Knowing how to shoot a gun, owning a gun, knowing a lot about guns doesn't make you any less of a sperg. We live in a society of laws, so when you put your social moronation on full display for everyone to ridicule, they will ridicule you. Nobody gives a frick about your gun when it comes to social interaction.

This. It's quite the contrary, in fact.

Have you tried not being a weird smelly autist who wears 60 y/o soviet milsurp in public?
It does wonders for interacting with people.
