How many multicam variants are there? I've noticed other nations either directly copy the variants or created their own variations that slightly differs from the original pattern.

Several. UK has multicam colors on a DPM pattern, Canada has multicam colors on digital pattern, Germany has multicam colors on fleck pattern, Australia has Auscam colors on multicam pattern, Spain has multicam but with the tan replaced with another green, Slovenia has multicam with slightly higher color contrast , France has multicam with two extra browns, NZ has multicam that they claim is greener but it doesnt look like it. And thats just off the top of my head, all up theres probably at least 10 more distinct variants and several more that are distinct due to being cheap prints.
I've seen Canadians with their own multicam cut.
thats not a Canadian.
They're Danes, not Canadian
Just like woodland camo. Everyone made their own or straight up adopted it.
Yup, and also the digital pattern. Which came from Canada, but the Americans popularized it with marpat, UCP and the navy camo.
All but one U.S. soldier is wearing OCP. Did they ran out of OCP or something? Aside from that, its funny I can recognize all the multicam pattern there
That one soldier is wearing the FR ACU in multicam, the camo is slightly different due to a different fabric used in the uniform
Yea, I know. I am wondering why he is the only one wearing it lol
Because he felt like it. That's as deep as that goes. I personally have about 20 OCP/FRACU/multicam uniforms sitting around, sometimes I wear either/or. Doesn't really matter.
I assume the picture took place before the 2019 mandate, so it makes sense. But why do you have that many sets? I only got a set of crye G2 multicam, FRACU multicam and OCP shit.
Issued 4 pairs of OCPs, issued 4 pairs of multicams, issued oodles of various FRACUs for deployments, bought some OCPs for school graduations/different sizes/field use
That makes sense. They all still held out after deployment? Especially the FRACUs since they tend to wear out faster than regular ACUs.
Nah, half of my sets aren't serviceable anymore.
>camo is slightly different
The camo slightly different because its crye MultiCam rather than OCP. There are FRACUs in OCP and they still look different if you put it right by FRACUs in MultiCam
chad scotsmen in the back
Multicam black is the best (worst for actual camo).
they don't even pretend this camo is intended for anything other than SWAT teams to look intimidating
I always wanted those multicam boonies
buy one?
I would, but first i need to check what size I am. I haven't worn a hat in a while.
Post head
No.
Yes.
Multicam is the defacto Anglo camo
I'm in Reno am I the only one who has seen a rise in homeless dudes with ACU gear. Honestly it's like every third one has a pack or trousers. It wasn't like this a month ago. I assumed the army must have started getting rid of shit but haven't heard anything and am not really concerned
Military surplus are dirt cheap and often time they get them for free via donations or got them for like $10-$15 at a thriftstore/goodwill/fleamarket. People either donated their gear or people buy shit from the government in large quantities for pennies via government auctions.
Probably someone donated a pack of ACUs to homeless people. Vets donating their gear to homeless is nothing new.
Sovless camo and the reason for friendly fire accidents as every nation uses it. it killed camoflauge
No, it did not. Its like the m81
>reason for friendly fire accidents as every nation uses it
I'm too lazy to look that up, can you cite a single incident where two adversaries wore multicam knockoffs in a hostile environment?
It was revealed to me in a dream.
Probably thought the armbands in the russian invasion of Ukraine is the result of multicam being used. Even though its the result of both sides not having a proper IFF system.
Russians used multicam? I know some ukies used it. I thought they had more of that awful russian pixel camo in use, though.
Do Russkies really wear their plates that low?
Lots of russians use chink multicam/carriers. Its more cheaper since domestic multicam is alot expensive and harder to find. The russian in the pic has a chink copy of crye G2s.
Yes, but in a limited amount. Ukraine been using multicam since 2014 and alot of their units start to switch to multicam. But majority of russians still use EMR.
The Ukro-Russian conflict, The Ukros get multicam, and the Vatniks also uses their copy of multicam. now they just plaster themselves with tape to identify eachother
No evidence that they did it. Russians been using arm tapes since the beginning of the war. The U.S. also used it in theit invasion in grenada. Tapes are useful if there isn't any proper IFF system in place.
