MSBS GROT coming to america

Looks like Arms of America (importer for FB Radom Beryls) is going to be importing the MSBS GROT to the states. Is this gun a meme or should I buy one?

It outperformed the HK416 in testing so it must be pretty darn good. It will be expensive of course

this, it's going to be like the Scar 16 was back in 2010. kind of expensive when new, then 5 or so years later will shoot up in value b/c low sales and no more production / import when available

source? Because the last time the polish special forces tested this gun they said it sucks and kept their HK416s

Early models had flaws but general opinion was that ergos are amazing. If they fixed the few issues it had it should be a top tier gun.

        shitting down the well.
It's not a operator operating operationally gun; but definitely not a calamity local morons claim it to be. As for SF picking AR, the gucci special forces wants their gucci guns to look cool during joint training. That's all.

          >During initial tests conducted by the Military University of Technology, the MSBS-5.56 and its counterpart HK416 were subjected to comparative testing of the barrel and hand-guard for overheating during an intensive firing schedule. According to the tests, MSBS yielded the better results of the two rifles despite having a relatively light and longer barrel profile.[6] Additional tests have also shown that MSBS is less susceptible to jamming when using lower quality ammunition or when it is insufficiently maintained,[7] and had a more manageable recoil when fired in full-auto compared to other assault rifles chambered in the 5.56 cartridge, such as FB Beryl, HK416, FN SCAR-L or CZ BREN 2.[8]

It's not a SOF rifle, it's a fairly heavy modular workhorse for all kinds of infantry.

416s kept outside the US military because its an accessible M4 clone compatible with its accerories. Its never been any bettter than a bog standard modern M4. Export contorls are the reason the 416 exists

I know right. Considering the 416 has failed to out perform even a bog standard di rifle, that's a low bar to set for the Grot

In Poland Grot costs like 2000-2500 american money papers, it won’t be as cheap as some ARs, it is not a bad rifle, but I guess you can get something better/ more accesories/ ammo for the price.

Saw them at last year's shot show but then they had no timeline on importing since factories here were cancelled. Hope it happens, idgaf about the price I'll gladly shoot one alongside my ACR.

Its cool and would be a nice addition to my beryl, but honestly ive been thinking about a bren 2.
These are probably going to cost over $3k and sell out every batch in 10 minutes just like the beryl did when they brought it back.

I want to point out that euro gunmakers have already stopped putting Lancers in display rifles and instead are putting in Tmags. Magpul cannot stop winning.

    Best gun in the world
    Most modern
Insane modularity (can turn the same rifle into a bullpup in 3 minutes: 2 for the price of 1, it's also the best bullpup in the world)

The MSBS has been supposedly coming to the US for at least 8 years. They apparently don't even care to bring the bullpup version so who even cares. Just another ARcrap.

The barrel is thin and fluted its frick ass heavy because the morons in poland wanted a ultra modular rifle for no reason, it should use aluminum barrel clamp but instead it uses a steel barrel clamp in addition to a barrel extention with 6 screws into a aluminum extrusion. They need a complete redesign/ new generation.

The A2 version has fixed most ot the issues but still my biggest complaint is the modulalarity since it only makes the rifle heavier and since we are not issued any other barrels nor underbarrel grenade launchers, and the machinegunners and marksmen still get totally different weapon platforms so there are no benefits to it and it is more expensive.

I'm not gonna rip on its performance, I'm sure it's a solid rifle. The Jakl just LOOKS better and probably costs two grand less than what an imported Grot would market for.
