They literally don't care. Attrition is expected with Reapers. That's why they use them in more dangerous places, you don't want to risk a more expensive airplane or a very valuable pilot/crew when an RC drone is good enough.

i understand that. this is true for the israelis as well. they've always expected their cheapers drones in combat to be lost but they still destroy them nonetheless when they go down. i guess they just have different doctrines

You also need to have knowledge where it crashed and a weapon with appropriate range more or less on call, or it will soon be moved. Or you could just wait until it's moved to a known place and hit it there, like the US did when they "accidentally" blew up a bugman embassy in Serbia when that one F-117 got downed.

            Anonymous

            >You also need to have knowledge where it crashed

yeah that's why my first question was whether or not they just don't know where it crashed. wich is weird because if you know it's last location, how hard would it be to get a search perimeter quickly and use one of your many sensors and image processing capabilities to find it

            >a weapon with appropriate range more or less on call
send an f16 or f15 to the crash site and blow it up. hard hard could it be. pretty sure this is what israel does

it's also risky as well. you never know what unexepcted even may happen that might take away that opportunity and even then now you're spending more resources to track its future location. it's better to take the shot immediately when you have it. i would blast it the moment it goes down. but i guess we just have different views. we can agree to disagree

Components and parts are weapons technologies, anything that aids in weapons production and development also falls under technologies.

i am not saying china might now provide some sorts of arms. but i am reffering to the significant shit like SAMs

They bring in components for SAM missiles through different shell companies, each company deals with manufacturing each respective part in order to build a missile.

I wonder if they’re using Chinese radars. China has AESA radar, and they could have LPI by now (Low Probability of Intercept) which is essentially stealth radar. They just need to find a Reaper via a light search radar usage and once it’s been located use those optics systems to lock on and prosecute without triggering radar alert systems. No LPI-capabilities radar is going to be cheap but who knows it could be a China or Iran-China connection helping them out to test it out in battle. Since the US isn’t going boots on the ground they feel relatively safe is letting those systems operate in Yemen.

From what I read they use mobile p-18 or p-15 radars to spot them and then fire 358 loitering missiles in their general direction which use infrared seekers so they make tracking the radar location difficult.

If they used traditional radar seeking missiles they would be located and destroyed a lot easier.

Someone needs to tell the troony running the American campaign that Yemen has air defenses.

These drones were not meant to be used against countries with real air defense systems, which obviously the Yemeni's have.

Yemen has been shooting down Saudi planes during their war with Saudi for years, and everyone knows the whole air campaign is run by American PMCs

So when moron keep using them, they get shot down. Yemen is not Afghanistan.

both the us and israel have been losing a couple of drones to iranian AD (it seems to be a recent recent thing): the us has lost 6, and israel has lost 3 or 4. i am not sure.

but i really do wonder why the numbers are so small though. i would expect the shootdowns to be more frequent, at least once a week. and also they don't seem to be shooting down any other air assets in this round of fighting. they haven't shotdown any european or american planes. similary hezbollah hasn't shotdown any israeli planes or helicopter operating near the lebanon border.

1.so are they just not using these systems that much in fear of losing them to air attacks or some other reason (maybe they have very little to begin with)

2.they're using them but they have very little success and can only hit slow movnig drones every couple of months

        Anonymous

They have shot down 3 drones in 10 days and somehow you get the 'they don't shoot many down" narrative out of it?

hezbollah has shotdown 4 drones in six months. that's about 1 drone every 2 months. the houthis have shotdown 6 drones in 5 months, which is about 1 drone per month give or take. better than hezbollah but certainly not impressive considering both israel and coalition forces probably fly dozens of drones and other aircraft in their respective enemies' airspace. the israelis probabbly shoot more drones down in a week than both of them combined (now sure they have AA missiles but whatever)

so it's 1 of 2 options: either they don't use their AD very much for some reason. or it's actually quite shitty and they have very limited sucess

    >They didn't shoot it down
Why is it on the ground?
    >It had a malfunction
They are practically unheard of with this model.
Why do reddit kiddies have to cope about everything and turn every single fricking event into a moronic zoomer version of the cold war "us vs them" mentality?

The only 'people' coping are the brownoids when they are getting slaughtered by some zoomer behind a PC. Downing an unmanned drone is not even close to a consolation prize

No, jamming world trade traffic is the prize. Smoking your $10 million dollar drone is just the icing on the cake.
