Mother In Law HD Gun

What do you have your mom's clearning rooms with /k/?

I've been tasked with finding the mother-in-law an off the shelf, stocked (so 16"), light recoiling, preferably at least semi-light, dedicated HD gun.

Is the Vector the ultimate grandma gun? Seems to be in about the same price range as most non-blowback AR9s.

Does she shoot? Have her try a few things and see what she likes and doesn't like about them. Put a good light on whatever you get so she can see.

Cringe boomer humor. My mother-in-law is good company, good at shooting, and a good influence on my wife and will hopefully be a good grandmother.

Pinned and welded 13.7 ar. You shrinking everything a bit pulls everything back in, shifts the center of gravity less rail less weight can throw an h2 in that bitch etc ta fucking da. Dont buy a vector idiot, you just want a vector and want to be supported so you can make someone else pay for it not nice bro. Alternatively get mother in law an aug. Boolpoop design, much compact much wow. And for clearing rooms, brilliant no lpvo or lam mounting problems.

      AUG would be based.

Only when I take her, but I think she's working towards being more confidant. She didn't care for my 16"AR, but it is probably a little on the heavy side, it had a cheap ass heavy quad rail on it too. Confidence may have been an issue as well, as that was early on.

I don't actually want a Vector, I think the action would be wasted on me, not that I'm jacked or anything, just an average dude. Someone with weaker arms and hands just came to mind as someone that might actually benefit from the design.

My mother-in-law is hard anti-gun. She's never touched one and never will, short of a total collapse of the world as we know it. If anyone breaks into their house it'll be down to my sister-in-law to save the day, she's got a couple of guns now.

Does she shoot? Have her try a few things and see what she likes and doesn't like about them. Put a good light on whatever you get so she can see.

I bought my mom an AUG, partly because I wanted an excuse to buy a 2nd one in all-white, but they are the best home defense gun on the market imo.

That piece of shit weighs 6 lbs unloaded, probably 8 with that cucked faux suppressor. Also, neutered SMGs are absolutely retarded as their whole purpose is negated by being limited to semi, especially for that one which was literally deisgned to compensate for FULL AUTO recoil. Get your grandma a 20ga shotgun or a 38 revolver and call it a day.

Yeah, I'm taking the shroud off for sure. I think your numbers are actually right, 8/6lbs.

      >ignore this poster, his wisdom and dubs are but an illusion. buy the vector and get a red dot.

The Vector is designed to mitigate fully automatic recoil, it'll do little to nothing for single-shot usage.

no, absolutely not. the charging handle on the vector is insanely heavy.

it may just be that way on the 10mm or .40 versions but its incredible how much force it takes.

    She wanted a 44mag.
I don't know why. Tried to talk her into getting anything else, but she was dead set on it, she wanted the biggest fucking revolver she could get, 44 mag Dan Wesson ended up being it. 8 inch barrel.
She's an extremely stubborn old sea hag, what can I say.
I went with her to the ffl and the guys at the counter made me run through nics too because they thought for sure she was doing a straw purchase.
I didn't say shit about the existence of 454, 460, or 500 s&w because I'm positive she would have wanted one of those instead and never would have been able to physically control it.
She does shoot the 44 now and then though.

    Ruger PC carbine in 5.7.
That’s what I’m getting my wife.
    >capable enough rounds
    >super light recoiling
    >light gun
    >can take a 22 suppressor
    >comfy and well balanced

you mean you're buying it for yourself but saying its for her?

I wish I was doing that. I’m not really that interested in it but she likes it. My vote was for either a lightweight retro AR or PS90 for her. Out of all the options I’ve shown her and she’s held, she likes the Ruger 5.7 the best. I want to get her a gun that she likes rather than what I like. It also has its advantages so I’m fine with it.
I’m just happy to get her something she likes and wants to shoot, she finds my guns too heavy.
