More TAI TF-X taxi tests

The Turks seem determined to have it take flight in the next few days in accordance with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic.

Why does it look like such shit compared to proper stealth aircraft? The Su-57s have the same problem, even the properly finished ones. Is it the lack of a shiny RAM coating?

        that's prototype 1, mainly intended for ground/structure testing. It's essentially a dummy

Do you think they have shit tolerances on the prototype but they're magically going to have SUPER tight tolerances when they hit production?

They have no other manufacturing industry that requires anywhere near the same tolerances, but they'll do it for THIS for sure because you really hope so?

            >shit tolerances on the prototype
What does that even mean? This plane is a prototype but not the first aircraft of TAI.
They use the latest production technologies, including 3d metal printing.

It's not the shape, it's the paintjob. Looks like shit, like fucking house paint or some shit.

Better than the Su-57, still not great.

If the US is 6 million years ahead of the rest of the world in military tech,
Turkey is still literally 2 million years ahead compared to Russia and the rest of the world.

I'm not a Turk, but the Turkish language parallel-evolved alongside the German language to be the top two languages on this planet most fundamentally conducive to scientific progress and material miracles. Which is why Turkey can develop and manufacture their own high tech level items like stealth fighters instead of just lunchboxes and t-shirts. Ironically, Izmir and Istanbul are literally cleaner and more whyte than Frankfurt and Berlin now.

Have they found an engine supplier yet?

Last I heard, no one wanted to do any tech sharing to allow domestic turkish production and turkey was throwing a hissy fit in response.

      Nothing announced.

From what has been said they have the option to use the GE F110 (which is being used in the prototypes) and a Rolls-Royce engine of similar output, but neither company will give turkey tech transfer to produce them locally, at most they'd ship finished turbine cores and allow turkey to do final assembly domestically. Which is not what turkey wants.

They keep saying they'll develop something domestically themselves, but they have yet to show anything of substance in that direction, so, for now, I assume they're going to bite the bullet and pay to license a western engine since they likely wont be able to do a domestic engine themselves within a decade.

Is there any hope for a tech transfer? I thought jet engine technology was extremely secretive.

Doesn't seem like it, Turkey has been barking up that tree for more than a decade now with no luck.

People keep saying that China is the new second strongest army after Russia's failures, but really Turkiye is easily the second strongest and most competent state right after the US. No other nation could manage this kind of technological feat.

Russia? The PAK FA/ SU-57 is just vaporware
China? The J-20/31 is overblown 4th gen technology in bodykits that wont be produced in meaningful numbers and only used in parades
South Korea? Their new plane is the same as the Chinese

Turkiye will be the second nation to create an actual 5th gen fighter, and they'll easily keep pace with 6th gens.

      delusion

the south korean jet is just a mini F-22 that lockheed designed for south korea, then a bunch of western companies provided assistance as well.

The only areas the west didn't share was radar hardware/software, stealth coatings, and advanced engine tech. But it should still be at minimum 4.5+ gen and capable of 5th gen if they get a stealth coating in the 2030s.

The turkish jet doesn't even have engines yet, see

of all the planes you mentioned, the roach plane is the only one which fits that description
good luck making a jet fighter without an engine, retard.
you do realize that the global consensus on turkey MIC is that they are only marginally more competent than pajeets, right?

Firstly, the main source of non whiteness in Germany is turkroaches. Secondly, you really don't understand what the term "white" means, no dead or living turk has ever been "white". Thirdly, Turkey is the prime culprit in making Europe less white, and that's the reason every self respecting real actual white european hates you with a passion, rightfully so.

It's just anecdotal evidence. Go on pol, create some non-troll thread about turkey, watch how the thread fills up with greek flags in no time. Of course you have your larping mutt, who goes "muh Constantinople" or "armenian genocide", but those threads are all seethe threads.
