So you're some kind of moron?
If you can't turn two screws, have a nice day.
i'm not aware of any other screws that have 10+ minute youtube tutorials. great design
It's because the only people who would need to look up a tutorial are going to be fricking morons who need 10+ minute explanations.
This is a you problem OP. Nobody had to teach me to M-LOK, because it's in no way difficult or complicated.
For me, most of the time M-lok works this way. However, some times
happens. Typically the little locking nut is too far out on the screw/bolt, and there is inadequate tension between the inside of the slot and the nut for the nut to actually stop rotating at it's proper spot perpendicular to the slot. What typically resolves that is taking the attachment off, and hand tightening the screw into the nut a ~1/8th of a turn or so, and then putting it back in and giving it another go.
>MLOK takes less than 90 seconds to use even if both t-nuts have to be adjusted
fpbp
I have a lot of MLOK, it's not fricking difficult OP if you need a YouTube tutorial and an hour to figure this shit out you probably need the same to take a piss.
Mlok takes about less then a minute to put on.
i think the issue is that i need pliers or something to get past the threadlocker
If theres to much lock tight, ive always tightened the t bolt down prior to placing it in the rail, this will force any additional lock tight to come off and what will remain is what inside the threads. The best way ive learned to put m lok on rails is to tighten the t bolt a little further down, slide the t bolt into the rail, do a 45 degree turn on each screw and pull to apply pressure. Once its all snug(not tight) ill use that test pressure on each side of the rail and make sure each screw is seated properly, then all you do apply pressure again and finish tightening.
Also one thing to consider is if your placing a rail near a gas tube/block, or if you have a thick ass barrel like mine, your screw might end up being to long and you’ll need to cut it
Frick im dumb, not 45 degrees, but 90
Math is hard
yeah magpul is extremely annoying about this if that’s what you’re installing, they put a shit ton of thread locker
i cant figure out how to get mines on either. i turn the screw but the base under the guard just keeps turning around in circles and not tightening. it seems like a part is missing or something
Pull upward just a tad, it will put some tension on the nut
Literally just pull the T-Nut into the slot where it's fricking supposed to be.
The nubbin' of the T-Nut goes in the slot, that's the fricking point. It's what does the job of stopping the T-Nut from rotating in the slot while you tighten the screw.
M-LOK install should take < 1 minute.
Imagine getting filtered by a moron proof design.
>piece goes in slot
>piece gets turned
>part stays attached to slot
I bet you think you need a full length top rail too.
Mlok for morons
>screw t nut all the way down
>stick in slot
>back off until resistance stops
>turn opposite direction until you feel resistance again
Congratulations you am winrar and now you realize why your dad wanted you to learn how to change the tire.
That's a lot of steps, think you can break this up into 10+ minutes of video?
>Hey guys welcome to banana dicks and clips!
>Grab your m-lok rail that's the once with these slotty thingy doodads that look like little windows but aren't.
>There was a window tax in england and that's why they lost the war of independence and why america is the home of the brave oo-rah
>not to mention english are slimey c**t satan queen worshipping brown tooth poo breathed crosseyed wienerney shitters and that's why we had to kick them back over the ocean with some good old uncle sam and steel.
>now slot the little rotating screwy mlokies into the slotties and turn your allen key.
>allen keys are dangerous and can be made into a shiv if sharpened like so.
>like and subscribe!
hey I'm subbed to this guy but I can't find this video help pls
If you get filtered by the second most moron proof attachment system right after picatinny, you have no business handling firearms to begin with.
I hate it when the screw is too long and touches your gas block
Best legit complaint in thread
>The legit complaint in thread.
you can fix that by using washers from your local hardware store, it'll provide enough "stand off distance" to allow the screws to engage but not touch the gas block
How long does it take you to load a magazine OP? What about inserting it into the gun?
I'm betting there's a trend here.
Thats what you get for rejecting our lord and savior the 1913 picatinny rail.
>can't figure out how to install mlok
>the issue is the mlok
I've had no issue with mlok. Maybe try getting on the same level as apes.
Don't worry moron, you're too stupid to mount them to picatinny properly too.
OP needs to try KeyMod, just so we can all get some perspective on this.
Nah Ulok is kangz
>fricking power-bar mounting screwholes
This looks fricking moronic, like yeah it sounds like a convenient idea but it has some pretty serious flaws
Let me guess, raised by a single mom?
"Raised" might be a bit of an exaggeration.
>Why doesn't triangle fit in the square? Fricking shit design.
OP here, update: got a wrench and had things sorted out a minute later. pre-applied threadlocker was the barrier
At least you figured it out and fessed up to just not knowing what you're doing. M1913 is god-tier but fat, M-LOK is truly the best option out there now.
Good thread OP 10/10
I still don't see what was wrong with good ol' reliable MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail
you can add or remove whatever you want, all you need is a couple screws and T-nuts, vs always having rails or no rails and needing to change furniture
basically gun manufacturers don't have to piss around with making sure they have rail options for everyone or telling people to go buy custom furniture.
you need to be 18 or older to post here, r*ddit visitor
>put screw in.
>rotate screw so locking bit is in place.
>grab the attachment and pull firmly as you begin to tighten them.
Took me 2 mins to realize to do that.
you must've had a father bro. that's cheating
