Don't be immature, you can hate a regime but still like their hardware. Hardware is apolitical. I love Chinese tanks and their aesthetic yet I hate China, my wife is Taiwanese for fricks sake. It's fine.
it's literally a MiG-21 with extensive rebuilding.
It's a dual engine airplane, just like the MiG-19 and the SU-15 unlike the MiG-21 which has only one engine
And besides, just look at the back of the J-8 and at the engines exhaust for fricks sake
It's a enlarged twin engine development from the J-7 which clearly borrowed some design parts from Sukhoi family of interceptors, then later had several features "borrowed" from the MiG-23 and by proxy F-4 tacked on for the J-8-II
It's parallel development by means of whatever they could get their hands on, only a decade too late due to Chinese manufacturing limitations at the time.
>The J-8 (Jianji-8, or Jian-8; export designation: F-8; NATO codename: Finback-A) is a single-seat, twin-engine supersonic interceptor fighter aircraft with secondary capability for ground attack. The aircraft was designed by Shenyang-based 601 Aircraft Design Institute and built by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC). An enlarged version of the Shenyang/Chengdu Jian-7 (MiG-21 copy) with two Liyang WP-7 turbojet engines, the J-8 was China’s first attempt to develop a fighter aircraft independently.
The J-8II is damn sexy interceptor. They even experimentally gave it canards and FBW
When it comes to arms, Bangladesh has been a major client of China. Their main rifle is the type81 and formerly the sks, as they have received the tooling for both. The Chinese were quite interested in supplying Bangladesh to balance out Soviet supplied India, Pakistan was already well supplied with western arms, so Bangladesh was a new market.
I love how chinks pretend any of their planes are original when they are painfully obvious copies. >J-2
MiG-15 >J-5
MiG-17 >J-6
MiG-19 >J-7
MiG-21F 13 >J-8
Su-15 >J-10
IAI Lavi >J-11
Su-27 >J-16
Su-30 >J-20
MiG 1.44 with a riced bodykit >J-31
JF-17 with a riced bodykit (This is a massive improvement because this is the first time they had copied a design that they collaborated on, instead of being a foreign model)
What are they supposed to do then? Make forward swept jet biplanes so that their shit doesn’t resemble other shit? Planes and their shapes/designs/whatever are pretty solved. Why reinvent the wheel?
Later J8II variant uses reverse engineered (but not really) APG-66, the same radar used on F-16A. China received help to modernize their J8II which includes APG-66, FBW capability as well as IFF and RWR. When the cooperation stopped after Tiannamen square incident surprisingly the works were grandfathered in and China also got technical package for the radar, of which they use as the basis for upcoming J-10 radar
The only real advantage to MIGs was that they were lighter than stuff like the F4, F5, F105... The American built stuff had superior avionics and we had more ace pilots.
Imagine Mig-21, but instead of the wienerpit being put on top of the nose air intake they move it forward (the newly redesigned air intakes basically sit roughly on the same spot as the original Mig-21 because China cannot into S-duct until the 2010s) and then put the radome on top of the already lengthened airframe
It's bruteforce engineering design but it's effective, it's pragmatic and results in an aircraft that's just as simple and rugged as Mig-21 yet vastly superior even when compared to the latest Mig-21 in soviet service
Fricking greedy profit-seeking Western businesses and politicians playing ball with commies created the fricking technological monster that is China and now we will pay the price. >B-b-b-b-but we wouldn't have half the toys and iPhones we have now had we not done that.
Do we need to assemble chips and F-35 parts there as well?
>Absolutely loathe China; actually get upset just remembering it exists
>Chinese planes are fricking gorgeous little beauties
It fricking hurts, bros.
>Chinese planes
>gorgeous
lol
lmao even
Yes, they are. Cope.
Anon, you may be an NPC.
*Copy
Nice copy of the Jaguar, Chang
Am I just seeing things or are these "inspired" by western designs, i.e.
= tornado
= F-16
You’re probably seeing things for the JH7. J10…well, the Chinese are probably quite familiar with that aircraft.
>Absolutely loathe China; actually get upset just remembering it exists
you got a problem. Fix it.
>you got a problem. Fix it.

Yes.
That China still exists.

Your wife is chinese.
Yes
Why does your wife look like an F-35?
>MiG-21
Not at all, it looks more like a mixup of a SU-15 with a MiG-19
>looks like Mig-19
wat

Arrowgays are seething in their maple syrup
The J-8 is a mix of Mig-21, Mig-23 and F-4 Phantom. KINO.
There was also one of the version of the J-9 called J-9VII, what could have been vgh...
>mig21? More like mig2long
F-111 if he Soviet
F-111 if he Chinese
Why does it has Bangladeshi roundel and livery though?

An F16/MiG23 I love it
Why does a Chinese prototype have the flag of Bangladesh as a decal?
IAI Lavi if he sold by the israelites to China.
most overpowered plane in battlefield
Wot. Da. Fok.???
An AI could make these posts.
AI is artificial intelligence, this thread is artificial stupidity

KJL-1 has nothing to do with apg66. J-8 doesn’t have a fbw system aside from the J-10 ironbird testbed.

Shutup dicklet manlet.

have a nice day immediately
Twice the engine so twice the fuel tanks, I assume

Stupid can’t understand America is the biggest evil in the world and single handedly destroyed the golden age of globalization and relative peace.
Yes of course. I love China as well
>entered service in 1996

More like Su-15 that took the chinks 25 years to reverse-engineer
