One narco owned that lil monkey and he died with his owner in a firefight with the National Guard I believe. Along with drugs, people, timber, oil and minerals, the Mexican Cartels are also involved in the trafficking of exotic animals.

      >are these cartels or goverment forces? i cant really tell anymore
      Government forces.
You can tell by the patches/insignia on their uniforms. Also can tell by the gear they are using.
Cartels with have a variety of different weapons, and don't have uniforms, usually.

The Police and Military in Mexico work hand in hand. The police has been militarized to fight the cartels who are also miliatrized.
You can also tell that when deployed, they have face coverings to conceal their identity, which is to make it harder for cartels to identify and put pressure on individual cops or soldiers, and make death threats to their families.

The thing that's harder to distinguish is vehicles.
Mexico is basically MadMax land, they have home made technicals, like in Africa and the middle east, but they add armor on it and mount usually lighter weapons. Sometimes 50bmg.

Makes sense when you remember the PRI ruled Mexico for 70 years and their relationship with the increasingly more powerful cartels was to basically do business with them in exchange for no big violence. I'd imagine thats what AMLO is trying to do. Something like that was already done in El Salvador with the gangs leading to sky high murder rates.

I think it's the monstrum optic you can get on Amazon for $100

            AMLO understands that:
            >the USA snorts 500 metric tonnes of cocaine per year
            >the USA imports millions of farm hands every year
            >the USA still has more than 25 states, where cannabis is illegal
Aslong as the USA doesnt legalize cocaine, Mexico will never be rid of the cartels.

              Anonymous

Legalizing cocaine is one of the primary objectives of his party and their allies as cocaine is their primay source of funding. Peru's muslim marxist president already has allies there openly talking about cocaine being beneficial to people, Evo Morales is already the leader of the Chapare Cartel and José Mujica already spoke openly of legalizing cocaine.

The idea of the legalization of anything getting rid of criminal organizations or even the illegal commerce of said ex-illegal itens is also wrong as we now have research on the increase in the drug market both in Uruguay post weed legalization and in several US states.

I recommend the Joe Rogan Podcasts with the guest Ed Calderon.
he's an expert on the Mexico-USA border, having worked for Anti-Cartel units for more than a decade.
Now he trains bodyguards, and sepcial forces in VIP protection in hostile environments.
He even gave training to the US secret service at some point.

I found the podcasts with him to be extremely informative and entertaining.
He gives you a real picutre of what's been happening with the Cartel/Drug war in Mexico.
He's full of knowledge and is also very based.

There's 2 JRE podcasts he was invited on :
    -Ep 1302 :
    https://podtail.com/en/podcast/the-joe-rogan-experience/-1302-ed-calderon/
    - Ep 1408 :

If you had to chose I recommend the first one, 1302, because it sets the stage for the second episode.
    Enjoy, I know I did.

Imagine if the Mexican state legitimately declared war on the cartels (or whatever that means).

    >Drone striking cartel leaders
    >Bombing cartel mansions
    >Executing cartel members
    >Huge firefights as cartels try to massacre civilian population centres

Basically make it so that you can't openly live as a rich cartel guy in Mexico. I doubt they want to live in shitty caves like the Taliban when their whole existence is centred on getting rich.

            Anonymous

They are not based, they are savage animals. They would not be an asset were firearms banned in the states since there are already enough weapons available that such a ban would not be enforceable unless everyone and every state cucked out, which we know would not happen. Cartels would probably be a threat as such a ban would likely cause a level of disunity that creates an environment that cartels could try to exploit to create a narco state north of the Rio Grande.

It wouldn't happen without support from the rest of Latin America and possibly the US. The main purpose of the drug trafficking in Latin America post-Cold War is to finance Cuba and the São Paulo Forum's parties and movements. There's a reason that now that Mexico has a socialist from a São Paulo Forum party as their president the murder rate is at its historical peak. Same thing happened in Brazil. Its because the drug money is going to his party and his associates. And in México you still have the Chinese angle.

Read Red Cocaine and Jeffrey Nyquist. The relatively recent portuguese translation of Red Cocaine influenced Bolsonaro's government in Brazil to crack down for the first time on the highest levels of coke trafficking through Brazil, with military operations involving destroying clandestine airfields and coke plants owned by colombians in the Amazon and clandestine ports in Southern Brazil used to ship coke to Italy and the Netherlands.

A rogue Marine decided he had enough with politics and started hunting narcos. He torture them, dress them with women clothes and took photos of them.

                >But I thought cartels are heavily armed and protected?

By certain political entities. Plenty of Mexicans don't agree with those politicos. Mexico has more major political, demographic and socio-political groups then the US and they all disagree.

Not true. Calderon's secretary of defense: Genaro García Luna worked for the Sinaloa cartel.
The federal government has been working with the Sinaloa cartel for more than a decade now, with nothing to show for it.
Calderón worked with the sinaloans, Obrador too, and I assume Peña did too.

There's been similar stuff (maybe not exactly that) in Europe by the Russian and Italian mafias, the Triads from China and other Latin American criminal organizations.

yeah I know triads can be pretty brutal along with the South American cartels. maybe its just the volume of it that is documented that comes out of Mexico that makes me feel like its way more prevalent with the Mexican cartels

Its just because of the internet, really. Plus, the mexican cartels are at war with each other. That stuff isn't done and put on the internet when there's no war going on.

Is there any way that the US could fix the cartel problem in Mexico by invading or assisting the Mexican military and police?

Annexation or to the less extreme American forces can conduct special military operations within Mexico, given the government there would agree to it.

Why do they wear so much black? They're hot as hell and poorly camouflaged. Don't get why more forces don't wear grey, it's pretty much a straight upgrade from black while keeping the police look.

The FX05 is an assault rifle not a battle rifle. Though supposedly they want to make a version in Creedmeme or 308 to finally replace all their remaining G3s. THAT would be a battle rifle. I actually think it will happen though. They actually are replacing their 5.56 SAWs with a new 308 design.

Most of Mexicos problems come from high birthrates. The parts of Mexico with low birthrates already look like first world countries. Mexico will probably hit firstie status within 20 years but then 30 years after will have a severe demographic decline like Japan.

Clamp down hard on marijuana domestically. Start throwing even minor offenses in jail. Suddenly weed becomes difficult to traffic, price jumps. Cartels go back to weed. Weed is “harmless”. You then carpet bomb all of Mexico.

What id the difference between mexican police, military and cartel?
I have read that more than few government forces have gone rogue to hunt cartel or join cartel.

      Anonymous

      >the difference between mexican police
Mexican police are corrput incompetent buffoons that have been put under the charge of he army to get whipped into shape
      > military
the mexican Army is one of the very few functional institutions of the Mexican society that is not hoprribly corrupt. Officers are are trained by and train with the US armed forces and operate in a relatively transparent and accountable manner. they are hated and depised by politicians and crime bosses like AMLO
      > and cartel?
a handful of Mexican special forces washouts formed the CJNG and suckered a bunch of brainless hicks into joining them and they LARP as a semi-military operation but every time the real Army shows up they are slaughtered like lobotomized sheep

because the fastest way to the top of a power hierarchy is to be brutally violent. mexico and south america in general just happen to be a place where you can get away with being brutally violent much easier and for far longer than the u.s. they also happen to be geographically located next to a large, economicaly developed first world country with a large population and a large market for drugs and little unregulated domestic supply of said drugs. even room temp iq shitskins can do the math and capitalize on it

bandits, which were a huge problem right up to the late 1930s and regularly spilled over into the US. Huge regions of rural south-texas still have weird cultural eversions to handguns as a result.

I remember when I played Call of Duty every time I heard Spanish over the group chats or whatever we were going to lose. I'm not trying to be edgy or racist but Mexicans fricking suck a squad based tactics. They always did stupid shit, got clapped and never stopped talking. Never saw this with any other racial group.
