It's fucking pathetic that 4E (which when I started was considered actual horse manure compared to 3E or 2E) is now considered good.
I think 5e is still the most playable, warts and all. Just stay away from the later books (and if you can read German, play their version of 5e instead. If only Pegasus had the rights to the IP...).
I find this idea being one I invest a considerable amount of autism on, if only because the way augmentations are typically depicted tend to bother me let alone how they are used and distributed.
That said, lesser form of space marine/spartan style augmentation seems like it would be the way to go if you're going to give your life to eternal service for military purposes while everyone else gets high tech peg legs and hook hands in the form of mechanical prosthetics because their limbs keep getting blown//chopped of or stupid enough to think your fancy metal hook hand is better than a flesh and blood one.
Presumably you'd just give everyone easily replacable helmets or glasses that protect the eyes and still offer stuff like HUD and what not. Not everything needs to be shoved inside of your meat suit.
just wear sunglasses retard. you think the future infantryman won't have some sort of polarized visor or googles or whatever-the-shit to defeat against shit like that?

lmao just operate wearing sunglasses dark enough to block out something a thousand times brighter than the sun
>sunglasses
Any cyberpunk eyegear worth its salt would be completely opaque, it would have sensors externally to gather information and then relay this information internally to the user's eyes.
The laser thing is a universal problem anyway - if it will fuck up your meat eyes, it will fuck up the sensors on your eyegear, and it will fuck up your surgically implanted robot eyes. Out of the three, tossing the burned-out visor is actually the easiest method since it's the only one that doesn't in any way involve scooping inside your skull with a melon baller.
My bro just called me on the hologram and talked an entire hour how bahkmut will fail this week with the deployment of cyber merc from night city. He also said the city is selling hobos and crackheads to some half dead bald russian guy.
>can't get electrothermal modifications with caseless ammo >have to use old cased shit that only Nomads know where to find
N-Nomad bros hook a choombata up
So "smart bullets" that fly around corners and shit are complete fantasy aren't they? Outside the possibilities of physics
You could put a computer in a largish round and have it make tiny adjustments to course that could make it far more effective, especially at extreme long ranges, but these changes will be so minute that it will still appear the bullet is traveling in a straight line (or a downward curve like bullets do, you know what I mean here, no fucking 90 degree red baron zigzags)
Basically yes, that kind of change in momentum would be ridiculous. What you could do, is have shaped charge airburst rounds or grenades that throw the shrapnel into a thinnish cone perpendicular to the path of the round. Your onboard computer determines range to your target, say they're 20 meters down a hallway, hiding behind a corner. It would then program the round to detonate at 20 meters with the detonation facing the chosen corner.
You could also do larger course correction with something like a computerized gyrojet round, but that has issues at close range.
Paul Harrell on the left.
I'll be the judge.

nah its 100% hrfunk

I wanna get groomed by the thicc ass Polish-Japanese robo lady!!!!!!!
Dude turned himself into a fridge, I don't understand why that's so prevalent in cyberpunk stuff

Wish the company did not drive Shadowrun into the ground.
What happened there?
6e is absolute drek, and not in the grognards-hating-the-new-edition way, it's universally despised.
Porchfuckery
Haven’t played since v.3, what happened?
This
Also, they wrecked a lot of the lore for 6E because they had no good ideas left for how to evolve the setting.
Give me Anniversary Edition and the 2050-2070 setting any day.

On the bright side, I love the games
I wish there were more
>where is Glory? Is she safe? Is she alright?
>still working on the DRM encryption on the disposable handguns.
I'll get it eventually.
What a dumbass, that is Shadowrun.
Lasers are a meme. Imagine having to wear a battery pack around your belt just so you can carry more than 2 charges.
All I see are guns, chrome implant knives, and a chick voodoo dolling the space needle.
I was just making the statement. The pic was unrelated.
I replaced my dick with a stun baton. What kind of dick mods are you guys using?
Laser dick
baste
>not replacing your dick with .22lr minigun
ngmi
>6" rhino nebula
>custom purple tracer rounds
>smiley face laser sight
How much further can we go
>He doesn't have a monofilament whip
>laughinggirl.jpg
If the monofilament is so strong why don't they make armor out of it that would be 10,000 times as strong?
Bros is joining Militech a good idea?
Better join the Hanza Security. Easy work without too many hardcore modifications and you get to play with latest models of military grade SMGs.
No, they absolutely will leave you high and dry when it gets tough. Lazarus is a better option.
>tfw no animals gf
poor bitch really did love him.
remember that there are no happy endings in night city
I could have saved her
no
Shame she didn't survive her impact with Adam's prostate.

Laser blinders mean new eyes will be all the rage in the future if we can make them work.
Presumably you'd just give everyone easily replacable helmets or glasses that protect the eyes and still offer stuff like HUD and what not. Not everything needs to be shoved inside of your meat suit.

>the future turned out so gay and stupid that it makes cyberpunk dystopias look like an escapist fantasy
I hate this timeline so much
That's just new vegas
i hate that you couldn't go full cyber psycho walking gun in cyberpunk 2077. also rate my /v/
