its made to withstand years of abuse by idiots, teenager and stupid boomers who cant read.

I was on holiday with my father, i noticed that the car was waaaay overloaded on the back axel.
my foot could no longer fit in the wheelwell.

Being an engineer i explained the importance of load balancing and adhering to specification.

Do you think he cared for one second. He refused to even stop and adjust the headlights. He did not even know where the switch was. Driving through the night blinding the ISS with the headlines.

I cringed so hard that i got out at a red light went over and did the adjustment by myself.
All the way down and it was still way to high.

I wheep for engineers who have to design public facing products. Its pure horror what people do with shit they view for granted.

You just have to cut them up until they're unrecognizable.
Scrap yards will also take a car without a title, but it has to be less than 50%, i.e. cut in half with a 12" demolition sawzall and flipped onto the back of a truck.

                Anonymous

ALWAYS mention your location because not every scrapyard and state has the same policy. For example SC takes cars without title if over 14 years old. Many states don't require titles for transfer of older vehicles and do bills of sale instead like GA.

Shopping carts aren't worth scrapping even if some yard takes them.

Because it means the store has lost enough revenue from thefts that it needed to invest in even more loss prevention. Obviously, the only people that steal are Black folk, so if your local store has this, that means there a lot of Black folk in the area. Moving would be wise, as you can relocate to an area with fewer undesirables and the sooner you sell your house in this situation, the more money you'll get, since the property value will be miniscule once Tyrone and Shaquandeesha move in next door.

When I was a kid I stole one, removed the wheels, mounted skis on it, and got absolutely rag dolled when I took it down a big ass hill. 10 year old me was too stupid to realize there was no way to turn or brake, and the center of gravity was way too high for stable flight. I wound up in the hospital, but the shopping cart was no worse for the wear.

Cleaning them with disinfectant spray and wipes is "too much effort" and they're considered "too dirty", risks of moron lawsuits that are allowed to go through for the sake of lawyer money. Same stupid reason perfectly good food gets thrown into locked and guarded dumpsters instead of being given out, because some fat 50 year old moron might get sick and decide to throw her dead husband's life savings at a lawyer to sue and win.
