MAG RUST

Hello! The part of my magazine that keeps forming rust is the same part that is exposed by my abdomen holster. How can I avoid this rust?

Carrying a flashlight instead of attempting to modify your carry gun with silly shit is highly respectable. It’s like seeing common sense in a world where it’s not so common. Laser/light units have become to handguns, like pushing your AK sights to max range are to the Ugandan war fighter.

This is normal for nu-sig, I wouldn't worry about it

SIG uses mec-gar to make their magazines. This is the same magazine that almost every high end maker uses. Applying the SIG meme to a rusting mec-gar is stupid.

OP, go buy a new mag. Are you swimming in salt water with that thing or something? I carry mine daily it hasn't rusted.

clean and oil the metal frequently
alternatively, sand blast and cerakote the mag
alternatively, simply do not care, it will still function fine

That's actually normal for sig. It's a feature and they'll correct this feature... Eventually... Probably never.

Scrub the rust off with fine steel wool and then just remember to oil it and your carry gun every other day

just keep a thin layer of clp on it. enough to be greasy, but not so much that it's dripping on your wiener.
