Low velocity big bore

Throughout history has there been a firearm that fired a very large/heavy projectile at a very low velocity?
Not like a 45acp, but more akin to a 10ga lead pumpkin ball at 350-400 fps.
Something that would pull your shirt halfway into your chest.

    >350-400 fps.
That's really slow, even for black powder.
But sure, something roughly similar to that has always existed. Flintlock and later percussion pistols of around .75 caliber were common. After smokeless powder made most arms fire smaller, faster, projectiles things like shotgun slugs still exist.

Ah too bad. I thought it would be cool if a firearm made use of extreme mass to generate energy rather than the typical small projectile going fast.

Smalled bullet faster is for sure the way to go for several reasons, but something about the idea of just lobbing an enormous slug sounds fun.

For the same muzzle energy, a heavier, slower projectile has more felt recoil.

Isn't there a military rifle prototype that uses a very large(long) and heavy projectile at subsonic speeds? Can't remember the name.

You may as well walk up to the guy and give him a handshake, just like 45 acp

Not as extreme as the numbers you've requested, but this stupid russian thing can fling a ~75 gram projectile at 300 m/s

you lose a lot of penetration
a baseball cannon will kick more than a 10ga
also you're not penning any soft body armor unless you go the crossbow dart route.

    But it will work.

Where can in find a blunderbuss or blunderbuss kit?

Traditions used to make a kit, I don't know if they still do.
Real ones are easily found anywhere that sells antique guns. Gunbroker, Gunsinternational, auctions like Rock Island or Morphy, or shops that specialize in antiques like International Military Antiques, Collector's Firearms, or Simpson Ltd.

Loyalist Arms or Middlesexvillage Trading, they import indian made flintlock blunderbusses, among other things. Quality is nothing to brag about, but they are perfectly shootable and nice looking from 10 feet. Although if you plan to use it maybe for non meme purposes, like hunting, I would rather get a short barreled smoothbore musketoon or carbine - they do the same thing only better because you can actually aim them more precise which flared barrel end will prevent.
Plus carbines will allow mounting bayonet.

No. I plan to shoot rocks and nails with it.

Thats fenomenally bad idea, unless the barrel is chrome lined which Indian made ones are not. But hey, its your funeral.

Improvised fire arms will get you that. For example, this PVC bolt action.

Often these are used to make potato cannons, which will throw a decent size potato 150 yards if you build a decent sized one.

For a rifle you want to make it smaller. Easiest is to have it come apart at the back and then you spray a frick ton of hair spray or WD-40, anything that will burn quickly, in there. Then load a projectile that takes up most of the tube down the muzzle. Hit the sparker and boom.

If you use a larger chamber for the combustion and a smaller projectile you can get a faster shot.

With a bit more craftsmen shit you can have these be bolt action or breech loaders. Alcohol soaked sponges let you fire multiple rounds without adding primer.

I would think 200mph, speeds you're talking a double for a good one. With compressed air you can do a lot more. I saw a guy with a 600fps automatic PVC air gun that shot AA batteries.

Lower end air rifles too, although they tend to have smaller projectiles, like .22, and can go up to 1,000-1,500 fps.
