I do like it, I have a dissy built with fixed sights. I just don't think that it has a place on a "modern" rifle that will have an optic on it 99% of the time.
with modern optics it doesn't really get in the way, and service members treat their rifles like shit. If the issued folding sights they would get snapped off constantly.
