Anyone bought one of these weird uppers? They are SO cheap and let you do stuff like shoot 7.62 by slapping it on your AR lower and using their mags
I also like the idea of a side charging upper for 5.56, does anyone have experience with them?
Only wanting one for fun, obviously not a "window breaks in the middle of the night" gun
At the price point, why the fuck not. Don't expect it to work, but it's basically hipoint money for a complete u
much better than an AUG at least
Aug is king, seethe harder noguns
>you do stuff like shoot 7.62 by slapping it on your AR lower and using their mags
Bad idea, the bolts for 5.56 lower to 7.62x39 don’t have enough meat on the locking lugs and quickly brick the upper, and Bear Creek isn’t known for being anywhere near top quality.
do you know of any right charging uppers that are actually worth a shit? (for 5.56 not some goofy conversion)
Nah not really, I don’t pay attention to ARs besides what not to do with them.
BRN-180
Also they're the only manufacturer that makes .450 bushmaster shorty uppers.
Does anyone know how much they usually charge to ship an upper?
I just put one in the cart and clicked "estimate shipping" and got "Sorry, no quotes are available for this order at this time" lmao
I want thier .410 upper. But I'm weird.
I built a cheap .50 Beowulf rifle using one of their 18" side charging uppers. The first couple of times I took it out it gave me some issues with just barely not getting back into battery after a round, but that was because I was using a basic bitch milspec lower. After replacing the buffer with a heavier one it works flawlessly, and is fun as fuck to shoot.
BCA gets a bad rap from gun snobs because their uppers are dirt cheap and weird looking, but they're fine. If you're a poorfag trying to build a shtf AR I'd probably steer you to PSA due to their uppers being lighter and having more options for handguards though. If you're just trying to build some fun/goofy AR conversion than BCA is the place to go.
Same. I've been wanting to build a .410 bore AR for a while, but the main thing holding me back is the fact that 410 shells aren't really useful for anything other than skeet shooting, hunting very small game, or pest control. I don't skeet shoot, the only time I'd be hunting small game would be in a food scarcity scenario where I would be using 22lr to not damage the meat, and I don't own any land that requires me to blast gophers/snakes/whatever, so it wouldn't really be useful to me.
Don't know about their uppers but I bought a basic 16inch 5.56 barrel from them for like 50 bux shipped when they were running some sort of promotion and it's been very good and accurate in my AR
Their CHF barrels are made out of 5150 so that's a dub
I have a 22, 9mm, 556, and 762x39
all four work fine except the 762x39 breaks firing pins like a muhfugga
if you want a cheap upper for blasting at the range they are perfectly (similar to a hipoint)
if you want something to protect your ass/home dont cheap out, just spend a few bucks more on a PSA
I bought a BCA side charging upper for my can cannon, and it's extremely rough with machining marks everywhere. I wouldn't use it for anything other than a range toy.
Try the Gibbz side charging upper (or New Frontier Armory model for less branding) if you're looking to improve the AR ergonomics.
they're fucking low quality garbage made by border jumpers
there was unironically an ICE raid on their manufacturing facility
hard avoid
The maverick 88 is made in Mexico. Just sayin'
that shit happened years ago and people still regurgitate it without looking into it
ICE raided a bunch of businesses in the state, bear creek was one of them
out of the 70 people detained only a handful were arrested
Bear Creek was cleared of any wrong doing and said that they hire people sent to them by a job temp agency
the agency was supposed to verify workers are supposed to be on the up and up, but they didnt, so some illegals were hired by Bear Creek who was under the impression the people were legal
I have had good experiences with their 12.7*42 upper, but I don't shoot much and the barrel is close enough to the hand guard that it has issues with mounting foregrips.
