I have a shavette that holds these blades just by a spring clamp— but the blades are not locked in securely. There is nothing other than the pressure of the clasps pressing together to hold in each blade.

The only disposable blades you can buy that are as sharp and keen as a perfectly honed german straight razor are these. Id like to be able to find a utility knife that locks these bad boys into place.

Lol any straight razor properly honed is of equal sharpness. German steel isn't somehow capable of getting sharper than English or American steel or any sharper than a bronze razor from antiquity.
Im pretty sure bronze is much softer of an alloy than modern carbon steel or ffs ceramic
Wrong, shavette razors are known for being too sharp that they can easily cause burns if you use any more than almost no pressure
The very act of honing and stropping convexes the edge just enough for them to not be the same sharpness of a new shavette blade.

Yeah i think it would be fricking ill to have the sharpest razor you can buy in a utility knife. Not a SHTF thing but more like a “youre not mugging me, b***h” kind of thing.
You want an obsidian knife then. Steel even at its finest is too jagged at a molecular level. Obsidian can and does shave down to a point that can cut DNA and actual cells. They're not uncommon in microsurgery for that purpose.
Ive checked out obsidian blades but if you want one thats truly sharp then you will have to settle for one that is the size of a surgeons scalpel. I couldnt find any (top lvl) obsidian blades bigger than that, apart from the ones that look like indian arrow tips (picrel) and to my knowledge those arent that sharp.

Then engineer, commission, and sell a better design for shaving razors. There are loads of skinning/meat packing knives that use replaceable scalpel blades, but those are still designed for delicate work. If you want utility knife durability you need to use a utility knife.

I also have a single edge Mongoose razor that takes the same blades. Get the same sharpness with the shaving motions of a double edge razor, mostly used if I'm too tired to trust myself touching the shavette to my face.

How would straight razer blades be useful as a utility knife? The blade is so fragile it will be dull from cutting tape in a day and cardboard after a few swipes.
Simple, the sixteen year old gets to think "man, I've got the sharpest utility knife ever" as he puts it on a shelf and then doesn't touch it again until his parents throw him out.
