>same ballpark feet per second as mini mags which my semi autos and Ruger Mk IV love
>but half the cost of mini mags
>decide to give it a shot because it’s cheap
>buy 1200 rounds
>go shoot
>constant failures to eject or feed in my Mk IV
>similar results in my 10/22 and Marlin 60
>have to really yank it out of the chamber on my CZ 452 because it gets stuck
>Aguila uses some kind of wax like lubricant on their bullets and it gunks up in all of my .22s and makes it hard to eject
rrrreeeeeeee stupid Mexican ammo, shame on me for not just sticking with CCI because now I’ve got all this ammo that doesn’t work in any of my guns rrrreeeeeeeee

I know I know but it was $2.50 per 50 and that’s super cheap so I bought a ton, I thought “how bad could it actually be? It can’t be worse than Remington golden bullets right?” WRONG

Ruger Super Wrangler eats this shit like candy, single action loading gate SAA revolver clone is best revolver. No problems after about fifty rounds, got 200 more in the half brick and will probably buy more if I can. It smells like absolute shit and is ballistically mediocre but it works reliably and is super cheap. Good for knocking down cans and paper at ten yards.

they work reliably in my MkIV and 10/22 though they're not as accurate as CCI.

      >they're not as accurate as CCI.
I have personally always gotten better accuracy with aguila super extra over CCI standards. When I started prepping for my apple seed intro course I discovered that groups were tighter by 1/4" and zeroed my rifle at 25yds for them. I took a 500rnd box of Aguila super extra rn and did well. It's what I've used at subsequent known distance events.

My 10/22's love Aguila, only gun I have issues with this ammo is the Bersa but I haven't yet sho other brands through it to see if it's just the gun but it stovepipe 4/9 rounds its terrible.

Why do Mexicans wax their bullets? Apparently the 5.56 they run in their FX05 are waxed too.

Only the 22 has the waxy lubricants. .22 is basically the only externally lubricated cartridge left. Other .22 is waxy/greasy too, Norma Tac-22 is the greasiest shit I've handled.

Eley's top-of-the-lind are lubed with beeswax. Good enough for the Olympics, good enough for me.

if you can, trade for a ammo that works
    everyone's .22 is different & eats it's own

I get more FTFs with federal automatch than aguila. Aguila, maybe 1 in a 150-200 which is in the range of "the pin hit an empty spot because recoil and loading shakes the powder"
I get slightly worse accuracy with aguila than with CCI high velocity
I get three times as many aguilas as CCI minis for the dollar

I don't mind that they're heavily greased and it builds up 2-3 times faster than other rounds. A cloth wet with isopropyl to degunk the chamber and it's good for another 500 shots.
    Bought 2000 for $95

Honest to god my mark 1 hasn't had these problems, I give it damn near anything from subsonics to high velocity and those thunderbox ones or the ones that come in a milk carton. It's never jammed and has fed every round.

Do these work fine in TX-22s?

My Ruger mk3 and cp33 love aguila. I get a bunch of failures with federal red box. Only issue I have with aguila is that it smells like shit so I can't use them in an indoor range.

My Ruger Wrangler eats these up. TX-22 I rented at my range had numerous FTFs but it was that way too with Federal so maybe it’s the range’s fault for the gun getting so gunky. I wish it wasn’t such stinky ammo since I can only use indoor ranges where I live

I get a few failures per mag out of this dogshit in my AR-22 I built on a KP-15
it was so fricking dirt cheap that I don't regret it

    Noguns here.
Can't you just clean the bullets in a solvent like naphtha, or cellulose thinner?

It could maybe dissolve the waxy coating.

Yeah, Aguila has lots of wax on the bullets, that along with their powder, really stinks like cat piss.

Also, some shots are super-hot and causing stiff recoil to Buck Mark. Also had a couple case separations, causing powder to just pour in the internals.

Lol yeah the 40gr sticks in the front of Ruger pistol mags. And yeah the wax melts in the heat. You really need to keep your mags squeaky clean to shoot Aguila anon.

I was having this exact problem last time I shot my mk iv with this ammo, it gums up the magazine. I was using two brand new out of the packaging mags and this ammo had them gummed up and sluggish after two or three loadings of the mags.

I feed my RS22 these little treats on a constant basis and it has not once had an issue with them, not have I cleaned it in 800 rds. in fact the only ammo it has ever struggled with is eco speed, and that's probably more to do with the fact that that dogshit has every fifth bullet set at a 45 degree angle in the casing.

I have zero issues with that ammo in any of my 22s including the mkv.
