Living in a tent (campground)

Tips for living in a tent? My plan is to just grab a single burner gas stove + cheap-ish tent + a suitable sleeping bag + some sort of thin mat so I'm not directly on the ground

WHY?
>be disabled
>super long list of physical/mental health issues
>don't use drugs/not alcoholic
>lost large part of my income

I'm in a city and I need to access my medical treatments so I can't just walk off into the Forrest.

      Watching rn, thanks anon

      >I need to access my medical treatments
seriously are all ameriPrepHole posters impaired?

I'm Australian man, I have my choice between continuing medical treatment (and obtaining an additional diagnosis which if treated could improve my quality of life). I won't be able to use my CPAP with no electricity but I'm not going to deal with bomb threats and bipolar sharehouses again I legitimately can't cope with it (and it's making my conditions way worse)

      >Australia is the lucky country
Yeah providing you weren't born here lol

A CPAP is not necessary. CPAPs haven't been around forever; sleep apnea has. Use of a CPAP is good for preventing long-term health consequences associated with long periods without oxygen. You're not going to die by going without during camping trips. You're making way too big of a deal of this, which seems to be one of your health problems.

have a nice day homeless loser

why do you pathetic fucking cockroaches think this board about going outdoors as a fun hobby is about helping LOSERS figure out how to be fucking homeless?

I owned my own home (soley in my name) my narcissistic mother pushed me out and I gave it to her for slightly more than the mortgage (50% of market value).

Better to be homeless than dead/in jail/becoming psychotic dealing with that shit.

If you have actual disability status and are able to stay off drugs there are multiple programs for shelter and housing assistance if you are in any urban area in the states, much safer than being out with the crackheads who won't use them because they won't stop being crackheads.

Lost my disability pension due to gov worker giving me incorrect instructions (I have a recording of the conversation, they don't care, I have services trying to help).

I have multiple sleep disorders and can't share a bedroom with others so I'm shit out of luck, I'll be in a (paid) campground with boomers in RV's and people on holidays - it has showers/toilets but I can't afford the lots with electricity hookups.

so you have what 50,000 dollars? 100,000? enough to buy a van and outfit it properly to live comfortably. life is much harder if you are stupid. don't be stupid or lazy.

He spent that on weed and goon because he was expecting the government to pay for everything

I expect there is a time limit on how long you can stay, such as a month, especially in a tent without hookup. be prepared to be treated like shit by staff btw, they don't want or need your money compared to RV families. take it from someone who tried that. if you still proceed I suggest keeping everything in your tent at all times. you need to get a power station light enough, or power banks, to take into town and charge at a mcdonalds

this. unless OP can't drive, or is larping about selling house to his mother (most likely, and she just kicked him out) he is a retard for not getting a van

You can. Just walk back out every month to replace your prescriptions.

It's way less safe if someone finds me, phone service will likely be spotty and I'm not sure how far I would need to travel every other day to charge my phone.

(vs: campground being near grocery store and places I can go to charge my devices).

Keep in mind I have no car.

Reconcile with your family and live with them.

    >Thin mat
Most heat is dispersed throughout the ground, if there's a spot you want insulation it's underneath you.

Sleeping on shitty pads or the ground is the worst part of living outside.
My advice would be to get a cot and the best sleeping pad you can afford.
      Don't fuck this up.

If you can get yourself a van (even one that's not roadworthy), that'll be a lot more comfortable and secure than a tent.
