Because I carry it in a rigid plastic holster and I don't act moronic and hit it with a hammer when it's holstered
sorry for your future loss
you can't. They are "popular" because gun stores push them and because of unbelievably obvious gross corruption in the military trials.
>unbelievably obvious gross corruption in the military trials
But the reformists are always right! They're not morons who don't understand anything they're super duper smart!!!!
You're right. They should have stuck with Beretta.
There are documents that state that the army changed the requirements mid trial and didn't continue testing after seeing that the Glock was more reliable
They didn't do any of the testing they claimed. They made it all up. IF they had ACTUALLY performed ANY of the required tests they would have discovered the Sig drop safety issue. They did not discover the Sig drop safety issue until after the pistol was accepted and being delivered.
The problem is that I've heard multiple witnessed accounts of them going off in rigid holsters, with no hand on the gun. Most have been police, so I'm prone to discount those as lying to CYA. But the steel shooter guy had one go off in kydex holster in a match, and Sig offered to replace it because of "a defective striker return spring".
Now you tell me, what does even an m&p 2.0 have to prevent an AD in the case of catastophic seer failure, and why is that Sig response bullshit? Somethings fricky in that design or a lot of people are removing striker/firing pin blocks from their guns.
>I carry it in a rigid plastic holster
Lol, don’t forget to carry a Benchmade for the ultimate barely scathed experience with your shig p230.
another day, another SIG nd
another day, another sig contract won
why does it keep happening?
siggers might replace akgays as the most annoying subset of gun owners
Or an iPhone https://www.tiktok.com/@chefchrisc/video/7128390964959497518
I just don't like it
Why would you design a gun with no safeties in the first place?
frick
Just use a holster for something like this.
I like to carry a j frame without a holster but would not do it with a Glock.
Also, Sig is selling so much rebranded shit lately, they ought to be second only to Harley Davidson in whoring out their brand.
Would not trust them by default.
>How can you trust it?
Any product promoted by israelites to be sold to gentiles will ALWAYS be harmful in some way, shape, or form.
Buy an M18 instead.
How about you don't be a fricking moron and get an M&P
>shitty hinged trigger
no thanks i'm not poor
Then get an apex or one of the new ones that don't have the hinged trigger.
They let Charles Manson have funs in prison?
I can't wait for the sigger moments this thread will create.
empty chamber carry or get a DA/SA gun
A few companies make triggers with the little dingus safeties, just install one of those.
I don't really know why sig didn't design it with one, feel like it would have been a positive for all the military and police contracts they want to get.
OK so aside from the drop safe issue, is the quality actually bad?
I know one of the more expensive tiers they offer has a terrible slide finish. Is the plain black alright?
My buddy has a 365 and the few times I've handled or shot it, it's seemed as good as any other poly striker, including finish and how clean the milling was, ect. That being said, I have never disassembled it, so who knows.
If you buy a p320 or a p365 you will have a good handgun and if you don't personally like em then that's completely fine. Just don't make it your personality and scream MIC corrupt every five seconds
Don't be a pussy.
Ok, here's the deal:
P320's from 2019-ish had loose tolerances. A gun with a chambered round when repeatedly bumped or jostled would cause an AD. It's why the vast majority of incidents where a gun fired happened when the user was wearing the gun owb for multiple hours at a time, like with cops or that comp shooter who just posted his video. Sig quietly upgraded the tolerances on newer production guns without making a public statement, probably because it would be admitting liability while dealing with multiple ongoing lawsuits.
In short, buy a new P320 and you'll be fine.
>loose tolerances
NOT A SOLDIER'S GUN!
The M17 and M18 have manual safeties and as far as I know there haven't been any incidents where those have popped off on their own. There was the drop safe issue, but I believe that was resolved.
It's ridiculous that Sig expects its customers to beta test their guns, but unless you're buying a used 2019-ish era used P320, you should be fine.
UNRELIABLE
ITS UNRELIABLE LADIES AND GENTS
UN-FRICKIN-RELIABLE
HWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
its all guns made before 2019, plus only 20% of users took part in the recall.
it also just takes the slightest pressure on the trigger to disengage the internal safety. i'm talking about pressure light enough to be imperceptible to some shooters. after those safeties disengage it takes only ~3 pounds of pressure to set off a round. that is unsafe.
Not trying to absolve Sig, just providing some context.
they'll still hate you either way. You used your brain and they'll have a shit fit over it
You don’t. Stay away from nu-SIG and enjoy your p220s
I don't have P220s I only have one P210 but I enjoy the frick out of it.
Because I made the holes wrong, and that stops it from ever self loading a round magically into the chamber and going off.
Mutts have a fatal attraction and over abundance of trust in their israelite weapon as much as their backstabbing israelite “allies” that they donuts keep glancing over the fact they keep getting USS Liberty’s by them.
It it were Berettas doing this there would be an outrage and a recall.
Glock submitted a G17+G19 hybrid with and without a manual thumb safety to the Armys pistol trial and got turned down because it wasn't safe.
Meanwhile Sigs over here without any safety, and blowing holes in legs and dicks.
>and blowing holes in legs and dicks.
STFU bigot, the army is transfriendly now
I live in Milwaukee and have a cop buddy. He confirms all the stories. The problems with the P320 are real. He says he has no faith in his sidearm. I thought this was a problem from like 4-5 years that they fixed, but apparently many police departments have not had their pistols replaced or fixed. Sig is just taking a "frick it" approach.
Was sig more based in the last compared to now or were they always shit?
In other news I ordered an 320 X full but have yet to get it, and I'm already regretting it. I knew about the drop safety issues before getting it but panic bought anyways. Should have bought a revolver instead
SIG, the Swiss company, made exceptional handguns. SIG Sauer, the German manufacturer, made excellent handguns. Sig Sauer, the American conglomerate, made very good handguns on the German designs, but today kinda blows.
Pic related, Germand and Swiss.
Mfw I own two, haven't really fired then much, too busy in life to enjoy it... Really sad looking at how these are increasingly getting a bad rep for shit qc and whatnot... Should I keep them just for the sake of historical failure..? Or just dump them...? I really like the simple design, but damnit.. Why must everything I like be considered utter failure...?
I was about to buy a p320 compact
should I get something else?
(first gun)
First gun should be a ruger 10/22 or ruger mark IV.
mossberg blaze isnt a bad option. or, if you cant afford something expensive, a turk shotgun wont hurt if you have NOTHING else at hand.
>leaves chamber empty
