Let's talk the Zenit. After playing Tarkov, this became my favorite foregrip. But my question is why do so few operators seem to use this IRL? It has the best stats in the game.

Running any foregrip is so early GWOT, get with the times and get a reddit $40 3d printed hand stop.
Most oper8rs don't run a grip, canting one offset would require a lot of autism.

        >Why the frick not?
        Counter point, why?
This isn't a video game, they don't come with a -3 recoil or +2 aiming speed stat. It will also make it harder to get to switches, especially multi-switches for separate lights and laser activation. I know they make grips with buttons and you can glue/velcro tape switches on, but those are shittier solutions.
They do have some use on ultra compact guns.

But it's a grip, obviously it doesn't come with an actual -3 or +3 value, but that's just supposed to reflect that there is an inherent benefit in grips.. they help maintain accuracy and prevent recoil when properly used.

Bro they make those stats up at random for game balance purposes. A foregrip irl is mostly just a reference point for your hands, which is why you see so many people run stubby grips and handstops. Clamping the gun is doing far more work controlling the gun than grabbing a foregrip and with AR15s recoil isn't really a problem to begin with.

What are you basing this on?
How does having your hand at a different angle increase your accuracy or reduce the amount of energy coming into your shoulder?

They dont. You fundmentally misunderstand the purpose of a grip.
It simply gives you a place to hold the gun, somewhere to grip it.
Except that guns not covered in crap and has plently of places you could hold it. So its unneeded.

Do you have a source? Why would grips be in media, sold everywhere, etc., if they did literally nothing and actually hurt gunplay?

just because you don't like foregrips that doesn't make them useless. everyone is different, if we weren't there would only be one best configuration for an ar. you are on the spectrum or are otherwise too oblivious to understand other points of view.

Vertical foregrips have seen widespread official military adoption across the world such as grippods and KAC vertical grips. Literally nothing wrong with using a NATO certified hood classic on your rifle.

You massive tard, it's a point of leverage in an ergonomic wrist position, and you share the work against gravity across muscles with better leverage, too.

from the combat footage I've seen, they're only somewhat useful when blindly spraying full auto around corners/over trenches without shouldering the rifle

Even if they do, they don’t grab it like a vertical handgrip. The popular technique now is try to get your hand as close to the bore as possible, since that’s where all the weight is making it easier to control. Another reason is that people stick heavy lights and LAMs on the top of the barrel, a vertical handgrip puts your hand far away from that weight making it wobble due to the rifle being top heavy.

Keymod is based but that Zenitco grip was meant for PKMs and AKs with banana clipazines lol

Foregrips make it easier to carry a rifle in a resting position (low ready) for long periods of time. Milgays liked them because it was better for patrolling and guard duty. The handstop thing is newfangled mall ninja shit.

Says the moron who said clipazine. They were for pkms to clear the belt box. Handstops are for shooting with a consistent form but they look gay

not an operator, but my thought is if you're pulling the gun into your shoulder with that thing, it's going to have a bit of a lever action to it and make it want to pull to the side. Whereas grabbing the barrel area and pulling it pulls it right back into your shoulder. Not to mention it would get fricking caught on everything, straps, doorways, etc

Grips are literally everywhere in media.
    >they don't do anything
    >they're meant to hold the gun in place
    >they don't increase accuracy
    >they don't reduce recoil
IF this is true, then it's all a giant lie.

Actually grabbing the foregrip is early GWOT style oldschool. Works for some people but otherwise grabbing the rail or bracing against the vert grip gives way more control. Magpul made the first AFG in Q4 2009 because grabbing the broomstick directly was already on the way out.

Plus grips gets in the way when shooting off a barricade, car or obstacles in general. Look at Jerry Miculek, front grip nowhere to be found, same applies to guys who run classes of real world scenarios like kyle defoor or Pat Mac

Not OP, but do angled foregrips help for controlling full auto? I imagine they would since it gives you something to pull down on to help counter muzzle climb. Asking because I'm considering buying a transferable battle rifle.

Thumb over bore better except on short guns without the rail space. Vfg literally only useful for like swat when you have to point a gun at the same window for 30minutes. Otherwise for actual shooting thumb over bore is better. Handstop are used for being a consistent reference.

I guess i forgot, vfgs are also useful to muzzle check corpses to make sure there not playing dead and people on door entry and to give extra purchase so your gun doesn’t get grabbed on room entry but those are super niche. Basically, you’re better off without the weight.

That grip is specifically for use with big ak drums, ARs have d50s which dont require you to change your grip up

Zenitco is bascially china quality but with exotic russia appeal

A lot of you Black folk are really sensitive to the idea that a foregrip is just a vanity item. Haven't seen so much pissing and shitting over something so trivial on this board in a while.
