the pilots are probably mediocre the problem comes to SEAD. SEAD pilots have to be axceptional, have very advanced eletronics and munitions things Russia doesen't have.
If s-300, buks, etc (aa is one of the few things urss was very good at) are not being suppressed they force planes to fly lower, decreasing their range, weapons range, exposing them to manpads and making them easier to spot from the ground.
