From US - Looking at an SP5, but am unsure if it is federally restricted to permit only due to the short barrel length. I'm getting mixed results online, and not that this place is any haven for legal advice, but is anyone knowledgeable about this?

>looking at an SP5
bro, they are already on their way
It's the civilian version isn't it
Don't buy an SP5. It is NOT an MP5. It is a shitty clone with shitty tooling that the price does not warrant. Unironically buy the AP5 imported by Century. Comparable craftsmanship for a third of the price.
For a few bucks more the PTR is pretty good, mine has been flawless plus it’s made here in the US and not some turk sweatshop
Hahahahahahahaha
Go ahead and pay $3000 for shitty welds
"But but but mine will say HK on it"
moron
Unironically if you're willing to pay SP5 money just get a Dakota Tactical instead, it's a much nicer gun for the same price
>waiting over a year
Go for the Form 4 SBR option and your stamp should come in by the time your gun's ready.
the SP5 as it is imported and sold is a pistol.
A very moronic looking heavy fricking stupid pistol.
But its a pistol according to US law.
If you're allowed to buy a pistol, you can buy an SP5.
It's what you do afterwards that could be a problem.
If you decide to change the front part, you could add a vertical foregrip and suddenly it becomes "any other weapon" and you get your dog shot in a raid.
If you decide to put a stock on it, it becomes a short barreled rifle and you get your dog shot in a raid.
If you decide to remove the auto bolt block that was welded on the back of the receiver, it makes the ATF extra frickin nervous you might sneeze and make it into a machine gun, so they might shoot your dog preemptively.
But as purchased, its just a pistol. It wouldn't be allowed into the country if it wasnt.
Only if they find out.
Point us to a single instance of the ATF solely charging an AOW or SBR violation without the presence of additional charges
>Point us to a single instance of the ATF solely charging an AOW or SBR violation without the presence of additional charges
>everybody I disagree with is a fed!
Non compliance is the way forward. It got the hippies their weed, going to get us our short guns. Frick the atf, frick jannies, frick demoralizing black pillers
One of their most infamous cases was for an SBS.
Too soon bro.
That didn't even exist. I love "lost" evidence.
False limitation because they always charge additional stuff, even if they have to make it up.
Is that why no one actually got any time for that, ever?
NTA, but picrel.
hello vidya fren
