If you wanna impress your friends, here's something you heard through the grapevine.
Bundeswehr will start procuring the TILO-6MA thermal imaging device for all of its combat troops. It's an ultra-compact, lightweight deivce which can either be clipped onto the helmet as a monocular, or directly clipped onto the rifle optic (the latter will be the preferred method). The official announcement will be made in 3-4 months.
Here you can see it mounted on the helmet. Soldiers will be free to choose whatever fits their combat situation best.
Bundeswehr is currently procuring 25.000 Theon MIKRON night vision goggles until end of 2024. These are helmet-mounted binoculars, mostly intended for drivers (can also be worn without a helmet with a kit). But in tests with the new service rifle (HK 416 A8), it became obvious that helmet mounted thermal binoculars often times aren't that great for the fighting forces, so they will be supplemented with this.
This will be the first time that all german combat troops will be outfitted with thermal imaging as a default.
Here's the MIKRON, which most combat troops will recieve and which will be supplemented by the TILO-6MA
Sorry, wrong image, that's the Telefunken NV33. This here is the MIKRON
In this video, you can see how soldiers would mount it to their helmets, since that image shows the specific diving mounting device intended to provide sufficient gap for the breathing apparatus
Woah cool
>25,000 units
Amazing
>IM A MECHANICAL
>IM A MECHANICAL
>IM A MECHANICAL MAN
fuck yeah Frank Keplacki
this feels like AI generated text
or he could just be esl which, considering he's german, is not unlikely
Thanks, that's exactly it. Well, and I'm also not any german, but an autistic german military official.
I'm surprised that still, nobody has even had any idea how to use this information
What do you have in mind? Their stock isn't really available to the public, so unless you mean something silly like telling the media I'm out of ideas.
well the company doesnt sell stocks right now
Oh well, then I guess that is what it is and will never be any different.
>born at just the right time to witness DBZ power level scouters on soldiers
Cool! Not trying to one up you, but the US Army is also currently procuring the FWS-I imager for all close combat forces, with a goal of ~120,000 units
Our military is doing the same, but with Augmented reality as im sure the US is doing.
Its like what OPs does but better in everyway.
>Im gunna live long enough to see some gun cam footage of spec-ops crackheads running around with video game HUDs and their callsigns on their body
I can't wait to see 20 year old Cumdaddy 1-1 absolutely delete some chinese conscripts
that will be the new recruiting tactic for zoomers "You see that movie Ready Player One? Check this shit out".
actually that would work, you could expanded the tech so you have a skin, you see your team in their skins, you could skin OPFOR as something, etc.
I wish I had a thermal clip on
Best I can do is a thermal strap-on.
That's unusual use of roadflare
I've tried out the 10 thousand dollar trijicon thermal clipon, shit is wild. these things are great for any country that can afford them.
me too anon. me too
What resolution is the imager?
Uncooled I assume?
Obviously you fucking imbecile
My buddy uses clip on thermals as opfor and it sounds like it essentially makes night combat easy mode
you can casually pick off infantry, and if you just move every few shots they have a very hard time returning fire even with conventional tubes
So basically Germany in 2023 is only just starting to issue NVGs as standard and is buying 25k thermal clip ons to supliment.
Thats been standard for most militaries since 2005.
>standard for most militaries since 2005.
relly think it's just america.
Nah, i was bong inf 2005 we had nvgs and thermal. The clip on stuff didnt come around until recently.
The latest stuff now is fused with the NVGs and has an overlay showing waypoints etc like
shows.
Bong military is an extension of the US military, be real
If you cant beat them join them, also if youre not American your military is probably shit.
>Germany in 2023 is only just starting to issue NVGs as standard
No, Germany already has issued NVGs as standard, but it's replacing its old ones. Funny how you can misread the situation this much.
Do they have machineguns for their tanks yet, or are they still using broomsticks? Do their new rifles melt when fired? Is their air combat fleet over 30% readiness today?
>Do they have machineguns for their tanks yet
Yes?
>or are they still using broomsticks?
Lol, you mean when the Command Post Vehicle Crew had some fun? Lol I sure hope they still have their good spirits
> Do their new rifles melt when fired?
The fuck kind of wax rifles are you using?
> Is their air combat fleet over 30% readiness today?
Yes?
Man, it sure seems to look like you have absolutely no idea about the state of the german army, and are instead getting all of your information from tabloid headlines.
Hey, don't worry, just remember that there's people much, much smarter than you who do all the difficult things for you.
>When you get all your news from Bild
BAAINBw nagger spotted
BAIUDBw Supremacy
https://wehrtechnik.info/index.php/2021/06/25/bundeswehr-und-weitere-nato-partner-bestellen-kleinste-waermebildbrille-der-welt/
nagger you are lying, how fucking pathetic do you have to be to pretend being part of some inner BAAINBw circle
The procurement back then was over 5.000 thermals for specialized forces. I'm here talking about "querschnittlich".
Also nobody understood what you could do with that information
I bet a whole lot of those are going to get 'lost'.
Are these commercially available?
There are multiple civilian models and a mil/LE only model.
Imagine being dumb enough to buy one. Think they'll throw in a free Chinese iPad case, though?
Man you really have some unresolved issues with the ipad case
Andres literally drop-ships junk as their primary business model.
how the fuck is it supposed to clip onto the g36s 30y old integrated optics. lie fake and gay
>Thermals
>Clipping onto optics
There's something fishy going on here since visible spectrum optics are almost exclusively opaque to thermal imaging.
it just works anon.
If you put it in front of the scope it obviously works. Doing that with something the size of a Gopro that bolts onto your actual optic just seems like a very strange concept.
thermals go in front of the lenses, dear
Yes, but IR light can't go though glass. Or at least the glass most optics use.
You 》optic 》clip on thermal 》target
It doesn’t matter what order you put them in if one is opaque to the other. Just like your mom used vodka and krokodil and it didnt mattered in what order.
Okay, I relent, okay, you are right. in-line thermals are useless, they are not providing anything, and every military and every shooter who does this is just so much stupider than you. You are the only smart person on the planet and everybody else is just hallucinating that their optic setup works
Pic related, Royal Marines new KS-1 with Vortex 1-10x LPVO and inline thermal. Doesn't work at all and the soldiers will only see black when using it
Gee they are all so goddamn stupid. Man. Not even technology can help them. I mean, there is NO WAY that there exists some kind of magic device that converts far-IR light into visible light, which then can pass through glass. If only those armies had something like this. But I guess it's just impossible to create such a device, it's simple physics, IR can't go through glass.
we all bow to your deep knowledge in everything. Please run our armies, nobody else is smart enough
Pic again related. US Army sniper with thermal in front of optic. He cannot see anything because the glass of his optic is opaque to IR light.
Man I just don't understand how nobody noticed that before. Years and years of armies and soldiers using thermals in front of their optics, and all the time they never saw anything! It was all a placebo effect! They only hit by pure chance!
Look at this US operator testing an optic 》thermal setup for the US armed forces and Leonardo. They probably all had absolutely no idea what they were doing because nobody ever told them. If only they had someone as super smart as you
Unretard yourself please, the optic is looking through the thermal, the thermal is not looking through the optic
Yes that's literally what
describes. How the fuck are you so stupid?
Are you retarded? Genuine question.
Anon. Look at this picture.
When you look at this picture do you think your phone/monitor is displaying it in the IR spectrum or the visible light spectrum?
Now consider what the screen in the eyepiece of a thermal imaging sight is for
I don't want to
buy an ad
Turn on your brain and think how one can profit from such an information you idiot.
Already look into it although it's an AG (Company with stocks) it's not publicly traded, so not much we can do with this information.
buy an ad homosexual
Civilian version.
Someone willing to lend me 10k?
If in Germany it's stupid cause you're not allowed to mount it in your gun cause it has an integrated flashlight ..
Anyone know how the other stuff by the company is?
LMAOOOO
Andres Industries stuff is literally low-tier chinkshit.
Their website sells iPad cases and armor plates direct from wish.com
This is real bottom-of-the-barrel stuff
what is it even for? germany has no enemies
Good decision.
> buying Chink garbage from iPad case merchants
> "good decision"
Are you shilling or just retarded?
Buying compact thermal clip ons is a good decision. No, if I was a shill then I would probably use the same phraseology in multiple posts because I lack any creativity to much else with my life.
Oh look
> Buying compact thermal clip ons is a good decision
Maybe. But buying low-tier Chinkshit from a super shady vendor is lmao-tier.
>low-tier Chinkshit
Any information on the components of the thing?
Country of origin of the sensor & lenses?
Literally everything Andres Industries sells is Chinkshit, and not even good Chinkshit like Holosun. Crappy Chinkshit like iPad cases and wish.com armor plates.
There's literally a 0.0% chance that this optic is worth two shits.
How badly do you think the first guy who loses one of these is going to get smoked? It's tiny so someone's definitely going to drop one (if they already haven't)
