More like a hundred. In fact I'll say it now, if a single Challenger 2 is knocked out by a Russian piece of shit tank WITH PROOFS, I'll eat my fricking hat.
Screenshot this.
>The 1st (UK) Armoured Division was the easternmost unit in VII Corp's sector, its Challenger tanks forming the spearhead of the advance. The division advanced nearly 350 km within 97 hours, destroying the Iraqi 46th Mechanised Brigade, 52nd Armoured Brigade and elements of at least three infantry divisions belonging to the Iraqi 7th corps in a series of battles and engagements. They captured or destroyed about 300[11] Iraqi tanks and a very large number of armoured personnel carriers, trucks, reconnaissance vehicles, etc.[12] >In total, British Challengers destroyed roughly 300 Iraqi tanks without suffering a single loss in combat.[11]
(They lost one to blue on blue. T-72s must fear the mighty bong wagon.)
The point is to mog the Abrams wunderwaffe (historically teamkilled by training ammo) by having the balls to deploy it against something roughly approximating a peer. The fact that America is unwilling to donate Abrams to "risk" fighting turret tossing T90 shitboxes really does make you think about its alleged status as king of tanks.
1. Abraps have been lost by partner nations before and it hasn't ended the world, Iraqi Abraps died regularly
2. Abraps is too fat for Ukraine's infrastructure
Not the same variant. Abrams by the US are different to exports. Challenger 2's are the same afaik. Oman is the only other nation with Challenger 2's afaik.
America is much wise to de-escalate the conflict. UK instead is showing it's imperialist teeth that plundered most of the world and whole world is watching. Time will come for them.
Daily reminder that Ukie BTFO of Vatniks in the Krakhiv offensive with just 17 T-72 tanks. Imagine 14 challangers and 50 Bradley’s racing toward you. Ayyy fricking lmao the Vatniks are done for.
As an extremely moderate balt I have to say the last year has been the most exhilarating and the brits are leading the way again.
I believe in just somewhere north of 100 million reaped russian souls would satiate at least my thirst at the very least.
I assume Leopard 2 is coming from a broad coalition at the next military aid summit. Poland is confirmed, Finland I think too, but probably Germany will be guilted into providing at least parts and support, and maybe some tanks and training also from Spain, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands. They're going to want to do this together to diffuse responsibility.
Could be, if that happens (lots of Leopards) the Challenger transfer is quietly killed before any are delivered.
Cold War 2.0 will set in, Germany will actually have to follow through with serious rearmament, and NATO will be on a hair trigger with emboldened Russia. Also China will get bolder, which will likely lead to total economic disengagement whether Germany wants it or not, and NATO expanding into the Pacific whether Germany likes it or not.
Plus Germany will not get cheap Russian gas again unless theres regime change in Russia, which means the deindustrialization of Germany.

It's a ~25/50/25 split between increasing the rate of weapons shipments, keeping it roughly at current levels or decreasing them. Note that this was AFTER the Marders. Aka ~75% are for continued supply of AFVs to Ukraine.
These numbers are coming from opinion questionaires on private news sites tho. Not representative. I would assume tho that most Germs aren't very well informed on this issue and are indeed against weapons shipments.
Would be so easy for the Ukranian state apparatus to find these pilferers if this were real. Just set up a buy and arrest them. Hance I really doubt this is real (as in, really reselling of Western donated equipment)
>Would be so easy for the Ukranian state apparatus to find these pilferers if this were real
Ukrainian state apparatus are the pilferers moron. Ukrainian army didnt even have uniforms in 2014 because everything that could be sold had been sold. They were even selling their tanks to the rebels in DNR and LNR for a quick buck
nah, they could just be imported by someone and re-sold at twice the price.
Buying 3kWh generator in poland + international shipping costs the same as 1kWh sold locally. Basically, when generator crosses the border, it becomes at least twice more expensive. Now do the math how many you can make by just moving at least 4 of these each week.
Kek, the UK is bankrupt, people are starving and freezing, millions of invaders are pouring into the country, some third worldwide has taken power and they are still giving it their all. Are they the greatest shabboz goyim after all?

Meanwhile picrel... >Bongbus rolling up to Ukraine
I can imagine that just rolling up to the frontlines and having a dozen men in sharp suits leaving and giving the Russians a damn good tongue-lashing before driving off again, leaving them terrified and slightly aroused from the experience.
>people are starving and freezing
Why go overboard like this? If you tried to make your post sound a bit more legitimate you could farm a bunch of (you)s.
I can say this to a bong as an american. But for a thirdie to say it is pure cringe. Don't even pretend you're as good as the worst the anglosphere has to offer
Shame we're going to see some Chally's rekt by Russia. I assume they won't have their latest upgrade packages on. That's fine. UK is taking the blow to their tanks to mog the rest of the world (especially Germany, France and USA... but USA can shrug as they actually help). I just hope whomsteve gets the Chally's records some kills before they're rekt.
Imagine being that poor butthole who'll waste months of his life training to use a challenger and then it breaks down for one reason or another and there are only 12 so you're just kinda stuck sitting around until a replacement arrives.
I mean, it's not like Ukraine would waste their few challenger-ready troops on other shit.
>you're just kinda stuck sitting around until a replacement arrives
Trained crew go into rotation until there are too many tanks for that luxury. Might sit around for three days before you relieve another crew. All sorts of shit to keep you busy for three days of down time, including the very legit necessity of taking a day or three of leave to be fresh when you are rotated back.
dunno why they're giving Challenger 2's when they're making Challenger 3 which is exactly the same tank with a different gun (bye bye HESH). I wish the Bongs would just design and build a new tank. I don't understand this shit. Meanwhile France and Germany are making a joint tank together that is an actual proper new tank with proper advancements. Not just a 'new' gun.
Wish I was in charge of Bong shit, would try and form an Anglosphere development venture where the five nations combine their knowledge and skills into making new shit.
>Wish I was in charge of Bong shit, would try and form an Anglosphere development venture where the five nations combine their knowledge and skills into making new shit.
congratulations you've now got an Abraps but with a Canadian-built diesel engine and Marconi thermals
No my point was they're giving Challenger 2's to Ukraine who will most likely lose one to Russia and Russia then gets hold of the wreck and researches it and the Challenger 3 is the same thing with a different gun. Therefore the Challenger 3 which is meant to be until like 2070 or some shit for the UK is going to be easily dealt with in that regard. >b-b-but Russia won't be a threat by then a-a-and
Then they'll sell it to some other nation. They've already done that with NLAWs and shit.
>Wish I was in charge of Bong shit, would try and form an Anglosphere development venture where the five nations combine their knowledge and skills into making new shit.

We don't know what it'd look like, but it is certainly going to be better than Challenger 2 with a '''new''' gun.
Black person, Russia has had the M1A1 Abrams since the mid 90s. A NATO general literally reports being taken to see it in a Russian tank museum. They can't do shit about it because they don't have the technological base to A. reverse engineer it and B. mass produce it.
Russia can't even build modern fricking tractors.
Russia can't even build ball bearings for fricks sakes.
M1A2 SEPv4 is barely similar to the M1A1, ignoring all the other variants. For example the original M1 and M1IP had a rifled cannon. As I said in my original post, they will happily sell or trade the information to other nations.
frickin indonesia has nlaw.
And? Russia has literally traded NLAWs and other western tech to Iran in exchange for support.

>The only truly impressive and surprising part of the tour was when we walked through a “secret” field museum that had tanks from all the armies in the world—including several from the United States. The Russians had somehow managed to obtain an M1 Abrams tank (probably from one of their allies in the Middle East), and we all believed the reason they allowed us into this facility was to show us they had our most modern armor.

Sure dude, I'll take the word of a guy who saw a mockup in a "museum" rather than find literally any source claiming Kuwait sold Russia a brand new tank the same exact year that they were sold to Kuwait and this somehow set off NO ALARM BELLS at the DoD.

I'm assuming the commander of all NATO forces in Europe can tell a mock up from the real deal up close.
Also going over the article, the time frame is a bit all over the place, so the mid 90s may well be me just assuming. Even if it's from the mid 00s though, That's like 15 years to use it to develop something good, and they haven't been able to.
Why are you getting so outraged by this? I'm not even trying to troll you.

I sent Bulwark an email regarding Hertling's claims, so let's see what they say. >I was sent the following article as proof that Russia had acquired at least one M1 Abrams tank as of 1994, which is the first year that deliveries began to Kuwait (https://www.thebulwark.com/i-commanded-u-s-army-europe-heres-what-i-saw-in-the-russian-and-ukrainian-armies/). >Considering the enormous national security implications of this, I'm curious as to why this is the only place I've seen such a claim made, nor was there any apparent follow-up. I do not know if you have frequent contact with Mr Hertling, but if you know a good way to contact him for further clarification I would sincerely appreciate it. >Note: I don't have a twitter account. >Thank you,

Let's say you're correct. If it was the case, you're telling me that a country that can't even obtain enemy armor is going to somehow reverse engineer a Chally 2 to the extent that Chally 3 is going to be obselete?

Anonymous
No. How did you even get that from my post? What I said was, Russians haven't even been able to reverse engineer an Abrams and they've had it for 15-25 years. You're making the exact point I am.

What? Your post is saying that the museum is fake and that Russia has no Abrams.
They don't actually have 3s yet, and also aren't planning on upgrading their entire stock of 2s, so there's nothing really to lose in throwing a few of the surplus at Ukraine
No my point was they're giving Challenger 2's to Ukraine who will most likely lose one to Russia and Russia then gets hold of the wreck and researches it and the Challenger 3 is the same thing with a different gun. We don't know what it'd look like, but it is certainly going to be better than Challenger 2 with a '''new''' gun.
That doesn't change the hull and the layout of the tank. It will still be the same and still have the same weak points if investigated. A new tank is a new tank.
Anon, it's top armour is weak, if they wanted to kill it in future they can
Yeah but it isn't just about how to kill it, but performance and other issues. It's like in WW2, the Me-109's were engineering wise better than the Spitfires at the time but the Spitfires were performing better for some reason.. until the Germans recovered a crashed Spitfire in France and discovered it was using a much better fuel source and they copied it and suddenly Spitfires weren't slightly better than the Me-109's but were not as good in some areas.
That's my point. Like, if USA had loads of M60 tanks, sending them is better than Abrams because you don't use M60's. But a Challenger 2 is basically the same tank as the Challenger 3 which isn't due to be done until like 2030. Having technical info on what is essentially a very slightly 'upgraded' tank gives you enough information to either copy stuff or modify stuff to deal with it. That's all.
Meanwhile a brand new design, top to bottom, would be useless to them because they'd have nothing to base it on. Thanks all. Just saying they should have designed a new tank from the ground up.
Oh no not performance kek
The armour in it is decades old, and realistically it's not the thing that will matter in future warfare.
There is nothing in that tank they will learn from a burnt out wreck that they couldn't have guessed on their own.
There are burnt out Abrams after all.
So shit piles up, some jdams here, some tanks here, some bradleys there. You wouldn't just place them randomly, you'd do some kind of offensive. I wonder if all of these little deliveries are pieces of one giant offensive plan that is approaching
>Konashenkov: russian armed forces destroyed all 85 Challenger 2 tanks sent to Ukraine >Sunak: we have yet to deliver them, but thanks for these inspiring numbers anyway
What does Russia have to use against tanks? I assume they don't have as many stingers/NLAW equivalents as Ukraine does, so is it going to be tanks vs tanks?
UK is literally the only based European country and takes their commitments serious. They have very little to give in terms of heavy weapons but aren't afraid to give what they have. Biden should've told western Europe to frick off the moment they started dragging their feet on howitzers for months and simply coordinated further actions with the UK & Poland/Czechs/Balts. Macron could go back to his phone sex sessions with Putin and Germany could continue their tree hippie larp. Ukraine meanwhile would be flying and driving Abrams by now.
As a Bong I'm just ashamed we let our armed forces wilt to the point that our contribution is so small. I wish we could send 500 MBTs and a million 155s
>Should be 50 Challenger 2s at least.
Maybe the MoD just want to see how the 14 they're sending perform and how the Ukies perform with them, if they do well and don't piss em away they may send more
So the Brits have once again set the precedent. No doubt the Challengers will make us all proud.
The big question, will the Leo hoard follow? There's so many 2A4 in storage and use will we see the Brits pioneering efforts work or will Europe shit the bed and not follow?

They captured or destroyed about 300[11] Iraqi tanks and a very large number of armoured personnel carriers, trucks, reconnaissance vehicles, etc.[12]
>In total, British Challengers destroyed roughly 300 Iraqi tanks without suffering a single loss in combat.[11]
(They lost one to blue on blue. T-72s must fear the mighty bong wagon.)
You vatniks said the same thing about HIMARS before supply depots started exploding all over the place.
>UK instead is showing it's imperialist teeth
turd world leftist spotted. America just sent bradleys and a bunch of other stuff, cope harder moron
>UK instead is showing it's imperialist teeth
I wish. We need another dust up. Bongs brought out the best in us.

Daily reminder that Ukie BTFO of Vatniks in the Krakhiv offensive with just 17 T-72 tanks. Imagine 14 challangers and 50 Bradley’s racing toward you. Ayyy fricking lmao the Vatniks are done for.

Could be, if that happens (lots of Leopards) the Challenger transfer is quietly killed before any are delivered.
arent the german people pissed off at germany dragging their feet with this shit? youd think theyd shuffle some people out of office by now
ms. generale just got ousted
Only 25% of Germans are in favor of increasing weapon shipments
thats fricked
What do the other 75 percent think will happen if Russia is allowed to win?
What do you think will happen to the average German if Russia wins
Cold War 2.0 will set in, Germany will actually have to follow through with serious rearmament, and NATO will be on a hair trigger with emboldened Russia. Also China will get bolder, which will likely lead to total economic disengagement whether Germany wants it or not, and NATO expanding into the Pacific whether Germany likes it or not.
Plus Germany will not get cheap Russian gas again unless theres regime change in Russia, which means the deindustrialization of Germany.
Also effective end of EU as anything other than a free trade agreement (maybe even that too), as Eastern Europe and the Nords fall totally under American (and lesser extent British) influence and disengage as much as possible from quisling Germany and France. Any notion of collective EU security DOA as core EU will show itself not to take security seriously.
>muh deindustrialisation
Gas prices are already back to pre-war levels without any russian shipment LMAO.
>Gas prices are already back to pre-war levels without any russian shipment LMAO.
Because of massive demand destruction.
>because of [head canon]
Kay
Cheap gas and heckin' wholesome DDR comes back.
It's a ~25/50/25 split between increasing the rate of weapons shipments, keeping it roughly at current levels or decreasing them. Note that this was AFTER the Marders. Aka ~75% are for continued supply of AFVs to Ukraine.
Could be even better than it looks with that info, as lots of people think Marders are already tanks.
The last anti-Soviet Germans died in 1945.
Their defence minister just resigned, so that's doubtful.
Those two things are barely related
These numbers are coming from opinion questionaires on private news sites tho. Not representative. I would assume tho that most Germs aren't very well informed on this issue and are indeed against weapons shipments.
they elected merkel and the current bald schitzelnozzle tard for 20 years so

Cool, can I get a link to the website?
no
Would be so easy for the Ukranian state apparatus to find these pilferers if this were real.
Proofs?
2014 ukraine and 2022/3 ukraine are markedly different countries as far as corruption is concerned.
inb4 more unsubstantiated accusations
Ruszisters, we are losing against an army of rag tag hobos without uniforms??
reminds me of those HIMARS being sold
A smuggled Challenger 2 tanks just flew over my house!

Can you explain why these generators are available for sale in Poland, Germany and Slovakia?
>they were stolen!
>uses stock photos
>no link to twitter
>no link to site it's on
very legit comrade
nah, they could just be imported by someone and re-sold at twice the price.
Buying 3kWh generator in poland + international shipping costs the same as 1kWh sold locally. Basically, when generator crosses the border, it becomes at least twice more expensive. Now do the math how many you can make by just moving at least 4 of these each week.
just like all the nlaws that were totally not just old picture from syria?
Don't be shy, post the link.
Where the Chally 1's at? I thought they were being retired by Jordan. A couple hundred of those would be useful, even if they break down in place lmao

>My people just understand NATOs threat to world piece moron.
Wait what the frick is wrong with his arms?
Kek, the UK is bankrupt, people are starving and freezing, millions of invaders are pouring into the country, some third worldwide has taken power and they are still giving it their all. Are they the greatest shabboz goyim after all?

>Millions of invaders
Yeah

Esl where are you from, turdie country? Sorry your poor I guess.
If you tried to make your post sound a bit more legitimate you could farm a bunch of (you)s.
frick off schizo, it was literally 15c last week here
/misc/ is like an npc factory
I used to frequent /misc/ for ages. Can’t stand it anymore. Just a daisy chain.
I can say this to a bong as an american. But for a thirdie to say it is pure cringe. Don't even pretend you're as good as the worst the anglosphere has to offer
How do you know he isn't also an American?
Why send aid if in 2 weeks putin will dance in kiev maidan square?
Checkmate westies
I am sure there will be parts and 'contractors' to repair them.
>you're just kinda stuck sitting around until a replacement arrives
Trained crew go into rotation until there are too many tanks for that luxury. Might sit around for three days before you relieve another crew. All sorts of shit to keep you busy for three days of down time, including the very legit necessity of taking a day or three of leave to be fresh when you are rotated back.
challies swatted at t72s in iraq like they didn't exist so it's more a matter of how good their atgms are tbh t. expert
Can Challanger 2s survive a direct or near hit from artillery? Gotta be better than a T-72 at least.
dunno why they're giving Challenger 2's when they're making Challenger 3 which is exactly the same tank with a different gun (bye bye HESH).
>Wish I was in charge of Bong shit, would try and form an Anglosphere development venture where the five nations combine their knowledge and skills into making new shit.
congratulations you've now got an Abraps but with a Canadian-built diesel engine and Marconi thermals
>dunno why they're giving Challenger 2's when they're making Challenger 3
it is quite difficult to give things that do not exist.
We don't know what it'd look like, but it is certainly going to be better than Challenger 2 with a '''new''' gun.
Anon, it's top armour is weak, if they wanted to kill it in future they can
Black person, Russia has had the M1A1 Abrams since the mid 90s.
And? Russia has literally traded NLAWs and other western tech to Iran in exchange for support.
>M1A2 SEPv4 is barely similar to the M1A1, ignoring all the other variants. For example the original M1 and M1IP had a rifled cannon. As I said in my original post, they will happily sell or trade the information to other nations.
The point is Russia has had access to M1A1 Abrams for like a quarter of a century and has produced precisely nothing that even approaches a basic b***h M1.
>still won't reply to my post with a source or anything because he knows he'll be outed as a contrarianized moron posting schizobabble from Sputnik or a blog
>russia has had abrams since the 1990s
>before a single one had even been exported
may I see it?
>no
https://www.thebulwark.com/i-commanded-u-s-army-europe-heres-what-i-saw-in-the-russian-and-ukrainian-armies/
>About 5,000 M1A1 Abrams tanks were produced from 1986 to 1992
lmao at this entire fricking sham, which "ally" did they get an abrams from in the 90s? the first export order was to Kuwait in 1996 moron
fricking schizo Black folk, why is that the only mention of such a thing on all of google?
I don't know man, if you don't believe a literal NATO general saying it in a western defense journal then I don't know what to tell you.
I'm not even trying to troll you.
you are deadass trying to troll. Look at the dates. Why hasn't he said this anywhere else? Why has there been no attempt to stop sales to Kuwait if they sold one of our tanks the SAME YEAR they got one?
Think anon, use the head.
No. How did you even get that from my post? What I said was, Russians haven't even been able to reverse engineer an Abrams and they've had it for 15-25 years. You're making the exact point I am.
What? Your post is saying that the museum is fake and that Russia has no Abrams.
frickin indonesia has nlaw.
They don't actually have 3s yet, and also aren't planning on upgrading their entire stock of 2s, so there's nothing really to lose in throwing a few of the surplus at Ukraine
That was my point, I explained poorly. See
>exactly the same tank with a different gun
It's an entirely different turret
That doesn't change the hull and the layout of the tank. It will still be the same and still have the same weak points if investigated. A new tank is a new tank.
Commit your fricking troops already i don't want to get drafted
>Konashenkov: russian armed forces destroyed all 85 Challenger 2 tanks sent to Ukraine
>Sunak: we have yet to deliver them, but thanks for these inspiring numbers anyway
Anglos really are meddling pieces of shit who have fricked up the world as much as israelites in the last 300 years.
I wish we could send 500 MBTs and a million 155s
tbf we've been helping europeans kill eachother for 900 years, it's how we survive
You’re goddamn right.
>1 baker
Tell me about him.
so 100s of brimstones
Should be 50 Challenger 2s at least.
A dozen, well they should be used near Kiev and not moved around too much. I get that it's mostly a symbolic gesture, but still.
14
there probably aren't 50 functioning challengers in existence
Source? Sounds like you made that up
>Should be 50 Challenger 2s at least.
