What range is this thing capable of compared to HIMARS? my first thought is that unless these things are deep inside the Russian border near to their range limit they’ll never be safe from counter-battery fire or some other form of drone or missile strike.
Is counter-battery fire even practically much of a thing when it comes to modern rocket artillery?

What are they going to intercept them with? All of their decent NATO air defense is around Kiev, Odessa and the Polish border. The only thing that might be able to shoot the missiles down is the BUK and they are low on launchers and missiles.
