is it gud?
meme. I've been there and it's a cool gimmick for 50-70 year old dudes who want to feel tactical but not at the same time.
People at 3gun use them when they aren't fans of the shotgun part of the sport.
I am considering a tacticool kr9 but damn that zenitco stuff is pricey
same question but for this Hispanicy boi
Fun to shoot but an absolute pain in the ass to reload, would not recommend for self-defense purposes
I haven't seen any bad reviews of them. Some of the reviews I've seen acknowledge that they took a chance because nobody really knows about Kalashnikov USA.
From what I read on their website they're made in USA based off Russian blueprints.
I really would like one, they fit my requirements:
detachable box magazine
reliable and able to be abused (get dirty, wet, still function)
not over 2k
I assume they're reliable given AK action, meaning I could toss this thing around and not clean it after every time as long as I use full power loads and not target loads.
not expensive at all either.
I'm really leaning towards this...
you don't want any of this.
It only looks like an AK, it's not an AK.
Get a regular shotgun and a rifle. You will use the rifle for 95% of things and the shotgun for shooting clays.
why wouldn't I want it?
its designed for a combat role
I'm not interested in a civilian style shotgun like pump action or tubular magazine fed
Don't listen to this anon, ze is retarded.
It is 100% ak, well saiga but whatever.
They fit the bill for a reliable semi auto shotgun that doesn't have to be treated like a princess(sub 2k of course)
Just get a Remington 870 or ~~*Mossberg*~~ 500 it's real easy you don't even have to think.
It isn't as reliable as an ak by any means but I like mine alot, would not take it to war though. It is a true saiga 12 clone minus the bolt hold open feature
Why wouldn’t you take it to war? Is it reliable with proper high fps buckshot and slugs? I don’t care for birdshot or target loads.
ALAINAKSUA for 10% off
you missed last weekend, additional 15% off that stacked so you got roughly 25% off of practically anything.
I like mine, but be warned it only works with high brass buckshot and slugs. The saiga-12 that it's based on was designed for russian SWAT teams, so it only cycles with that kind of ammo.
I'm fine with that. I only shoot buckshot and slugs anyway. However I'm not familiar with what constitutes target loads over high brass loads. How much more expensive are high brass for this shotgun vs the target loads it cannot handle?
my guy you're coping really hard. people aren't going to tell you to buy it, it's not a good universal shotgun but buy it if you want it. just don't try to justify your Peachtree to randos on the Internet
I’m coping because I’m telling the truth about not shooting birdshot? Stop trying to sound like a know it all. I have yet to hear a real reason why it’s not a good combat shotgun. Just because most people prefer the simplicity of a pump doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. I have an AR. I have a double barrel shotty. I now want a shotgun that’s semi auto, fed from a detachable box magazine, and not Chinesium. Oh it doesn’t work well birdshot or target loads? Wow who gives a fuck, nobody uses that for humans anyway. Oh it works incredibly well with full power slugs and buckshot, which are supposed to be for combat? Sounds pretty good to me. I don’t understand the cope accusations. If anything you are coping because you want to justify owning a basic pump action that will stop working the minute it gets any sand or dirt in the action. Same with a Gucci semi auto like a Benelli M4. Put some dirt in there and see how much it’s worth 2k stock new. Not saying because this is designed off the ak action that it’s indestructible, but it can probably handle some grime and still function. Plus it’s not too expensive, under 1K, so I’m not gonna feel like I have to shelter it from any little dirt or water. The only negatives I’ve heard on this post so far are it looks ugly and is used by boomers or it won’t work with birdshot. Lmao. Gimme a real reason, like hey it falls apart after 1K rounds. Or hey, it’s qc sucks balls. Or hey, it doesn’t cycle consistently.
I'm not reading that but a wall of text that long means you act like a woman.
>you act like a woman
"Yeah I think I want this thing, here's why."
"UM NO SWEETIE, COPE, YOU DON'T WANT IT ACTUALLY YOU WANT THIS COMPLETELY OTHER THING BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I'D WANT."
If anyone here is acting like a woman it's you, whiny knowitall gay.
And the big secret in the gun community is to sell everything so there's nothing to steal. When you have nothing, you have no problems associated with objects.
it's ok but you can also just get a lynx 12 instead for cheaper and it's probably as good if not better
>if not better
gen 2 lynxes are better yolo
It sounds like you give a whole lot of importance about combat use and reliability and if you do, semi automatic shotguns in general are not the way to go.
Get a rifle, forget about all the shit about 12ga "stopping power" and "one shot stop", it doesn't mean much for combat. It's a boring answer but get shit that is used and known to work, so most likely an AR or AK variant. There's a reason why those are the golden standard and why the other stuff is left aside. Don't try to be smarter than everyone else by going for that thing because all that will happen are regrets down the line- been there, done that. You likely already feel yourself it's a dumb choice that needs to be comforted by randoms since you created that thread.
what the fugg
