Knight's Armament Company

What commercially-available manufacturers are in the running for being worse than them?
>Prices are in the running for taking the throne away from companies infamous for it
>Except instead of offering anything unique it's just AR-15s all the way down
>QC is absolutely dogshit, for how much their shit costs the failure and break rates reported from consumers is appalling
>Can build something on par or better for half the price
IIRC they didn't used to be this bad either, what the frick happened

I've never heard a good word about those rifles. Anyone who was issued one and especially anyone who had to work on one and deal with KAC absolutely despises them.

I've heard similar. Which is a shame because with its suppressor it LOOKS so damn good.

Cloner morons will buy and hoard everything these guys release sight unseen, why improve or innovate when you have hordes of Redditors willing to sacrifice a child to have the chance at obtaining your shit at MSRP?

QC and QA slip when you are only paying people $16-$21 an hour when similarly qualified individuals can go work in an aerospace company nearby for double. Titusville isn't cheap to live in anymore, so they've been losing a lot of machinists and engineers to nearby companies. This includes Kel-Tec.
Shocking isn't it, pay shit, get shit results. Nobody wants to put in effort for McDonalds pay.

LMT has been having QC issues lately, but that's just the deal with govt. contract companies. They sell the nice shit to agencies and sell their seconds and rejects to the civilian populace who don't even shoot enough to notice the difference just so they can say
    >I gots operator gun and you don't, poor!

I've also seen borescope pictures where they left a big divot in the opposite wall when they drilled the gas port. I don't remember if it was a regular SR-25 or M110.

The CEO is a DUI frequent flyer, so assume that trickles down to other aspects of the company he owns and runs lol.

Companies that focus towards civilian sales have to make sure the quality control is at least somewhat consistent because they know if they frick up badly enough times then their company is pretty much finished because customers will no longer buy their products, companies that go for military contracts don't give a shit once winning the contract because once you do you're basically set for life until the contract is finished and capitalism promotes short term growth over long term which is why most military contract companies usually end up becoming complete dogshit (KAC, FN, HK etc.) once winning said contract because they no longer have to worry about QC or innovation. It's the same reason why they all charge as much as they do as well, governments don't mind spending a shitload on small arms because it's taxpayers money and a drop in the bucket compared to other things like aircraft, land vehicles and other shit. You can even see this in other industries where it's more blatant like night vision or body armor.

if thats the case then why are the companies you listed the only ones actually innovating on the ar15?

The thing is Knight's has lost pretty much all of its US military contracts AFAIK. HK got the M110A1 and M27 but lost their JSOC contracts.

It's still so funny to me that the iteration on the current M110 got stolen by a different company entirely
