IIRC even before the war repairs weren't scheduled for completion until 2023 or 2024.
It would be the ultimate kek if it saw combat in this war though, even more if it sank.
I'd like to see their Kirov-class that's still in service be deployed though.

How far would a Russian crew even make it tasked with the same mission as the Yamato? I doubt they would even make it past the Pluto base before exploding due to a catastrophic accident from gross negligence and incompetence.

what would be reaction to sinking it?

To be fair to the ruskies, having fire trucks on a carrier is actually a pretty good idea even if having a big-ass one sitting right on deck looks kinda silly. Carrier decks are fucking huge and jet fuel unfortunately tends to be a bit flammable.

          Anonymous

The problem isn't a dedicated fire vehicle necessarily. The problem is that they took a LITERAL LAND-BASED FIRE TRUCK AND STUCK IT ON A CARRIER DECK. That thing is MASSIVE, is probably a bitch and a half to unlash in an emergency, hard to drive on a small carrier deck, and it would be hard to park and lash again after use.

            >LITERAL LAND-BASED FIRE TRUCK AND STUCK IT ON A CARRIER DECK
It's not optimal, sure, but I don't think it's that laughable. Like I said, carriers are fucking huge, the firetruck is one of the smallest vehicles in the quoted picture. It might be a bitch to drive through downtown traffic but it's not going to be THAT hard to find space for it on a carrier.

The whole country is so riddled with corruption they can't do anything to fix it because there isn't anyone to complain to that is not also corrupt. By his account they might have been overestimating their troop numbers by half because various commanders were claiming salaries for ghost soldiers like in fucking Afghanistan, and Putin must not have known how bad it had all gotten despite it being his fault.
