Unless that Mosin was used in the execution of the Tzar and had the dried menstrual blood of Princess Anastasia, there is no justifiable reason for that kind of price israelitery.
That's pretty high for a tula, especially considering I just paid that much for a 1915 Westinghouse M91 and 300 rounds of ammo. Only paid $220 for the 1943 Izzy but that was in 2018.
If you expected Mosins to remain below $200 forever then you're a window-licking retard. This was always the end game. Once the cheap corrosive surplus spammo cans dried up, that was it for cheap mosins. It was awesome while it lasted and I'm glad we got to enjoy it, but it's time to move on.
I'm not saying they aren't valuable, in fact I think they're great guns. I love mine and hunt with it every year. What I'm saying is the market factors that caused them to be insanely cheap were ephimeral and are gone now - edged out by expensive ammo and braindead entitled boomers who know what they got no low balls
I bought mine for $220 and a tin of ammo for $125 ten years ago and I still feel ripped off. People who want $600 for a Franken Tula are smoking the kind of crack I want to be smoking.
By every conceivable metric of value a Mosin is still not worth any more than $200.
What you get 95/100 times is an ancient, worn out, likely twice refurbed, fake "matching serials!" that can maybe put out 2moa on proper modern ammo if the barrel/crown aren't half degraded. You get a slop ass trigger that's more slop and ass than a basic PSA even after polishing/tuning/trimming it, and sights that don't match with meters or yards.
Picrel a $350 gun of comparable caliber that is an infinitely better choice, despite it's lesser quality by modern standards.
It's time to let the Mosin go, anon. Despite, perhaps in spite of 7+ million of them being put into America that time has passed.
Milsurp has been dead for a few years. For the price of a random milsurp AK parts kit you can get an aug or BCM AR at this point. Anyone who buys an sks in the United States is fucking retarded
post pictures for teh lulz
That's a damn good price

Is that a ... $5300 Garand? What the actual fuck.
I thought a grand was 1000 har har
Good stop buying shitty guns.
thanks for the blog update, homosexual
I think theres a norinco SKS at mine for ~1000

Finn capture Westinghouse? Finland still has M91s for under €200 but the gun stores here are certainly trying their hand at israelite pricing also
>paid 650 for a norinco SKS
>every time I shoot it the magazine (and sometimes the bayonet) flies out
bayonet might not have been punched into place and do you mean the magazine flips open or just drops off?
the magazines just fall out. for some reason the hook meant to catch the magazines and keep them emplaced isn't working.
Try duct tape
i think instead i'm just going to write it off as a loss and just buy newer cheaper guns instead
>write it off as a loss
Gibs it to me
if i wasn't so lazy i honestly probably would just give it to someone. sadly i am that lazy so a closet occupier it will remain
Are you using the original 10rd mag or shitty aftermarket duckbill mags?
got both a tapco mag and the original mag and both failed to seat properly. sad!
That's very typical I'd like to make that point. I just don't want anyone to think that this gun is safe.

Good mosins are valuable, FrankenTulas are still 10,000,000+ in circulation and every fudd down in fuddville knows what they got no lowballs.

But $700?
Supply& demand, there just aren't near as many on the market anymore. You can still find em for $300 but there are folks who'll pay 7
>Cabela’s
it’s just Gander Mountain but bigger. You expecting a deal?
>prices go up when supply goes down
>/k/ is dumbfounded by this
My Cabelas has a ton of Steyr Scouts they're trying to offload
Y'know, if I had $1200 to spare for funs i'd grab one. I've always wanted a Scout.
