Just opened my Trijicon Acog, ama

I just opened my fricking acog box, so exited because it is a birthday gift from my father. So guess how my $1,100 scope comes from the factory? With a fricking cracked outer glass pane. I’m legitimately disgusted with trijicon for sending out this shit. There is a pit in my stomach about it because I was so exited to open it and it is just broken. Reticle still works for the trijishills btw, but the glass should not be fricking cracked from the factory. My brother was filiming an ironic unboxing video as I opened the opticsplanet cardboard up and opened the acog box, until we seen the shitcog. Btw have to wait until February 14th to get another one because this m193 cog is out of stock.

Thanks, frick you too. It very well could be a Black person’s fault at opticsplanet but why would he open up my scope and fricking bust the lens? How would you bust an acogs lens anyhow except from the factory?

Someone could have done the ol' switcheroo with a broken ACOG and returned it to OP who then sold it to you. Check the serial numbers.

Ah I see, plausible, it’s a real acog btw I checked the usual spots that Chinese clones mess up on

If OP bought it new that's on opticsplanet for selling open box shit as new. Doubly bad passing open box counterfeit items as "new". If he bought it used? I don't know that trijicon would help, even if it was defective and genuine.

I bought it brand spanking new from optics planet, new production, everything. It’s a real acog as well

Yes I’ll get a picture it’s pristine, and the acog should be so durable it won’t matter if tyrese shakes it around in its padded fricking case. No, my conclusion is that it is from the factory but thanks for the wishes

, honestly it's not as thick walled as my other pelican cases but it is decently sturdy.

No they aren't. It's some Chinese plastic box. Not even a HarborFraud Apache case in terms of durability and water resistance.

they stopped using pelicans like 8-10 years aog. they come in these cases now

i agree with above, it probably came from the factory like that. shit happens OP. out of the thousands of acogs i see posted, this is probably the only time ive heard of this happening. it sucks but nothing is perfect.

Yeah I know but it sucks

It's a bad heat treat on the glass btw. Looks melted like what happens when lighting strikes and creates glass which only couldve happened at the factory unless you took a torch to it.

              Thanks for the explanation friend

Cause for the first purchase from eurooptic you have to sign so we couldn’t send it to the PO Box and couldn’t have it delivered to our door.

So the Trijicon plastic case it came in was in pristine condition? Because I was going to say it probably was DHL, this was the delivery service they used last time I ordered with opticsplanet, delivery service that fricked it up. But if the packaging arrived in good condition then yeah, it looks like Trijicon fricked up.
Hopefully you'll get a new ACOG sooner than that estimated date they gave you.

    Sage

Always open boxes on video, if everything is fine you can delete it, if something is wrong is all on camera from a factory sealed box.

Feels bad, anon, I know that stomach pit. I have TA110 in customer service right now because I yanked the wire battery cap retention lanyard out of the body of my optic within 20 minutes of receiving it while trying to put the battery in. Was just turning the cap to screw it in and thought the resistance was the O ring squeezing into the cavity... Yes I'm moronic. Started RMA process on 12/1, I got an email that said the fix was complete, still waiting on a tracking number for the return trip.

Nothing worse than looking forward to new scope day and then having it shattered... Someday we'll have our optics back and I think we're still going to make it.

This is always the worst. I know every manufacter has an acceptable error rate, or whatever the frick the industrial engineers call it, but man it stings when you're looking forward to something and you get one of the rejects.

It's probably just a brother being a brother. The older you get you learn to cherish the rare present and family moments.
Also it's actually not a bad idea to do as insurance. If it came damaged it can be used as proof that it wasn't your fault.

They problem is you paid $1100 for a scope you can get brand new on ebay for $850. For $1100 you can get an RMR mounted on that biotch.
