Not a new handgun shooter but my only handgun this far has been a Glock 17, so I assume this still holds.

So this is why /hg/ buys these turds because they are so bad at shooting they can't shoot striker fired pistols? kekimus maximus

Are striker pistols supposed to somehow be harder to shoot?

In the same way a minivan is harder to drive than a normal car—it'll get you where you're going, but you'll spend a lot of time thinking about your life choices and coming up with justifications to drive (shoot) literally anything else

A good time with a good gun.
I personally prefer the CZ 75 but the 82 patterns are great too.
    Practice your DA anon.

      >Practice your DA
I hear this alot, what's the case against just having the hammer back for the first shot?
I had this taurus judge that was also a double single and that's just how I would operate it, I would never use the hammer forward trigger pull

Practicing your DA makes you a better shooter in general
        >t. learned on an ancient .38 special and am now able to shoot almost anything without much difficulty, striker fired guns is ezpz and people b***h too much about them

        >I hear this alot, what's the case against just having the hammer back for the first shot?
Most people consider it unsafe. Meanwhile, people are carrying striker-fired pistols with the same trigger pull weight as the single action trigger on whatever you're carrying without any manual safety levers. I carried a DA/SA pistol with the hammer back for a short bit, and there's nothing wrong with that if you have a decent holster. That being said, the reason for you to practice the double action trigger pull is it will make you a better shooter. Dry fire the hell out of your gun in DA, and you will get to be more confident with it.

no reason if it's a HD gun but if it's a carry gun you bought a DA/SA to have the safety of DA while carrying.

It's slightly less safe than a Glock and it morons your progress as a shooter.

Quality smooth-shooting gun. Awkward safety placement and fat grip.

fair enough but it's still a really awkward placement.

just get the kit and switch it to a dewienerer. Then at worst you accidentally switch to DA trigger. If you're in a hurry and magdumping it wont make that much of a difference and who actually carries this thing wienered and locked anyways

tapping it to off safe with a forward sweep of the side of your thumb, the tip of the thumb or just nudging it up with the first joint is so awkward guiz

          Anonymous

          it really isn't.

if you have average sized hands it just a tiny amount of pressure with your thumb to pop the safety out of it's detent and it springs forward.

like the biggest meme against the gun is that it's huge and the safety is hard to use, if you actually hold one you'd realize anyone parroting those lies are either lying as they never held one or have fricking baby manlet hands

if you have large hands you will disengage the safety by accident.

also, you aren't supposed to carry it with the safety on. safety always off

just get the kit and switch it to a dewienerer. Then at worst you accidentally switch to DA trigger. If you're in a hurry and magdumping it wont make that much of a difference and who actually carries this thing wienered and locked anyways

          DO NOT CARRY IT wienerED

I hate the idea of a gun having a safety you're not even supposed to use. What the frick?

              Anonymous

it's administrative. you do not need it while carrying but when you are not carrying it you use the safety. it's visibly safe.

or, you just use the dewienerer kit or buy one that comes dewienerer only that has ZERO safety.

I had heard that that it was huge, and me being a 5’6 Manlet thought it would be too big, but it fits perfectly in my hand, even better than a 1911. I think just a lot of 6’0 225 boys are having to compensate for tiny hands and tiny wieners.

        Anonymous

Being ruined for every other gun except a 1911 that costs like 3x as much.

Operating the dewienering lever is administrative anyway so nobody should give a frick about it.

just get the kit and switch it to a dewienerer. Then at worst you accidentally switch to DA trigger. If you're in a hurry and magdumping it wont make that much of a difference and who actually carries this thing wienered and locked anyways

        >who actually carries this thing wienered and locked anyways
Nobody, since the safety/dewienerer lever doesn't work that way.
