>Japan's defense spending increased by 26% for 2023
How will this will effect the future of Anime, Manga, and Otaku Culture?
Are the weebs ready for /k/ino?

A significant portion is spent on recruitment propaganda in anime like Girls und Panzer and Gate, so you take a guess.
I hope they hire more storywriters for GuP so we don't have to watch the same series for the third time in a row
I want to believe you
>anvhovy alone because no one can bear the stench of her feet
i just want one high quality anime about an actual War, that isn't full of anime wackiness.
No gunslinging e-girls, no magical girl shit, no robots or mechas or "alternative history", lets just have a regular grounded anime about War.
Like how about a "Battle of Iwo Jima" mini-series anime?
I know right. Even the theme of combat aviation which is ripe for exploration in any form of fiction has been criminally underutilized in anime and manga, especially when you compare it to less grounded genres like mecha. There are a precious few anime, most or them - 80s and 90s OVA
My homies, i watch animu to get away grom the homosexual reality not to live it again in digital form.
Plus japs will never do anything about ww2 that is not historical revisionism(which is based) and evennif they did it would still depress me since it will remind me that the good guys lost so we must persist in this cursed reality of our own creation.
I am not against escapism, just wish we got more stuff like Area 88 instead of 25 copy-pasted isekai stories with barely any differences, like this season.
>instead of 25 copy-pasted isekai stories with barely any differences, like this season
Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing anything by not following every season religiously anymore, but it is good to hear that I am not.
I’m only slightly exaggerating: https://anilist.co/search/anime?genres=Isekai&year=2023&season=WINTER
There are still some good shows to watch here and there, but there’s also a lot of crap to filter out
Too bad Isekuso is only growing in popularity, and SOA isn't ending anytime soon.
Hopefully /k/ anime, manga, and light novels restore some modicum of balance to the industry.
Hopefully someone comes up with a spiritual successor to Area 88, after realizing how saturated the industry is with isekuso.
Peleliu anime was announced, so there's hope.
Golden Kamuy
Like the other anon said, Golden Kamuy.
Try Zipang, might like it.
