This quality post killed a JIDF thread.
is there a bolt hold open
no but you can slap it
>tfw have to set up an entire gun manufacturing company to be allowed to print guns for fun in california, but milling it out of a chunk of polymer would be perfectly legal and you only need to notify DOJ to get a serial number
it hurts
>complying
>you only need to notify DOJ
lmao yeah im gonna get right on that
Notify doj means pay them btw
stfu fed. i ALWAYS get my creations serializeed
Do you even have to notify the DoJ? I thought so long as you serialized it and recorded it you'd be fine.
>asking for permission to be free
ngmi
>he thinks he has to get permission from his government to exercise a right
LMAO
I want to care but 3d printed guns are only interesting as a concept but in execution kinda blows.
>in execution they kinda blow
the person who made this got through 10k rounds
cool, what happened during those 10k rounds
the gun went off
That's not very typical, I might add.
>Q: What ends up breaking?

For fuck's sake

>Q: What ends up breaking?

I think this is more accurate
the answer was nothing
nothing broke
you dumb fucking subhuman
It’s a gimmick, the truth is once you’re well versed enough in 3d printing and slicing of models, wall thicknesses, installing shit like klipper on raspberry pies and installing volcano or dragon hotness with ams systems and shit
You know gcode and electromechanical fabrication well enough that you can easily utilize fusion 360 CAM to post gcode and hand edit it to cut a block of aluminum and setup a cnc machine to run that code.
The 3d print a gun meme is just something to scare soccer moms and journalists
It’s like telling them drones are used in war then showing them a $19.99 remote control quad copter from tjmaxx
>just become a cnc operator bro
Cnc machine operators are less skilled than McDonald’s workers
Do you need to get a job at McDonald’s to learn how to cook a hamburger?
>Do you need to get a job at McDonald’s to learn how to cook a hamburger?
probably helps if you need to cook lots of burgers fast and wrap them neatly
and put them in a box,
That weapon is the rightful intellectual property of the shareholders of Heckler & Koch. Anyone who downloads a gun should be prosecuted for theft.
>you wouldn't download a gun
Good luck
I now have an SP5
Ho ho ho
Nah this is /k/
More like
Ho ho ho
My mom says I just gotta wait until Christmas to get my open box return ender 3 from Best Buy, dump like 3-400 into mods off of Ali express get my moms credit card info stolen in the process.
Then order the mp5 kit off that one guy from the fiuddbusters podcast if he actually made some parts rather than posted trollbait on Twitter all quarter
And manage to assemble it despite having zero tools since my dad works in an office and calls a handyman to put our ikea furniture together
there's no patent on mp5 anymore
retard
>about 1000 dollars for mp5 at home
Does that include the cost of the 3d printer? If not why not just buy a turk clone that isn't diy jank for $200 more?
you can buy an ender 3 for like 5 dollars now
You’re not printing for 24 hrs straight on an ender 3
Why not? I've done multiple 48h prints on mine.
Out of the box, no all metal hit end for one, ptfe will melt, wheels will need to be adjusted mid print and that bed heater is weak as shit so you’ll run into warping/lifting
Heavily modified Enders might do it but not reliably
Maybe ABS without enclosure, but PLA+ and PETG work fine. You just need to git gud.
To get a 24 hr print on a stock ender?
Nah that white tube burns up, the heat bed element doesn’t work like real printers so is prone to corner peel, bed needs better springs, can’t have any drafts
Also remember ender 3s print at like 25mm/s so a 24-48 hr print on an ender is like a 4 hour print on a prusa and like. 2 hour print on a x1s
So a lot of ender favs are like “I’ve printed 8 hues on my ender! And it looks great!!”
And you get this low detail fucked up piece that’s small as shit
A gun lower on an ender 3 is probably impossible, you print these things at 100% infill.
So probably a day on a prusa, half a day on a bambulabs
A week on a an ender?
Plastic extruder can’t handle that much linear feet of filament without cracking on that ender and heat creep is baaad at that time
Now I'm convinced you have no idea what you're talking about. You're retarded. Please stop posting.
Kek this comments on par with “omg read a book!” Why don’t you explain how he’s wrong?
He’s never had a 3d printer in his life, I started on an ender 3 like 5 years ago and went prusa for a reason
I ended up selling them to some zoomer kid who didn’t know how much work it was to keep them running
Okay, I'll bite.
>Nah that white tube burns up, the heat bed element doesn’t work like real printers so is prone to corner peel, bed needs better springs, can’t have any drafts
The bowden tube does not "burn up." it's a part that wears over time and is made long for a reason so that the worn areas can be cut away. Not to mention a replacement is 10 bucks. The heater bed works just fine in all the ender 3s I've worked with. I would look at your slicer settings or maybe you did just get unlucky. The spring are fine. They work just fine. Maybe it's user error in bed leveling.
>Also remember ender 3s print at like 25mm/s so a 24-48 hr print on an ender is like a 4 hour print on a prusa and like. 2 hour print on a x1s
This is the section that made me question your intellect. The ender 3 has a maximum print speed of 180 mm/s. Granted, that's not what I would recommend as that would lead to poor quality prints. About a third of that works just fine though. For real world numbers a full sized Glock frame will be done in 12-13 hours at that speed. My p1p, which has the exact same max speed as an x1, does it in about 6-7 hours. So a 2 hour print on an x1 taking 48 hours on an ender 3 is bullshit. Not to mention all these settings are adjustable in your slicer and you haven't given any numbers (except for the blatantly false one) of what speeds your printed these examples at.
>A gun lower on an ender 3 is probably impossible, you print these things at 100% infill.
Literally all incorrect. I've done it dozens of times and you print at 99% gyroid
>So probably a day on a prusa, half a day on a bambulabs A week on a an ender?
Already went over how your time estimates are bullshit
>Plastic extruder can’t handle that much linear feet of filament without cracking on that ender and heat creep is baaad at that time
I'll concede this. A 15 dollar aluminum extruder goes a long ways, but heat creep isn't nearly as much of an issue as you claim.
So shut up
The oem white bowden tube cannot handle 200 Celsius on an ender 3… that’s the temp you print PLA at.
An ender 3 can’t print 180mm /s the steppers would burn out if you sent that machine that gcode and cause a fire.
The ender 3s don’t have a standard heat bed it’s a cheaper half ass setup, it’s a moderate step between the heated and y heated bed. So it doesn’t get the corners
Ender 3s also don’t have traditional beds, they use a piece of sheet metal under spring tension, 4 corners of the sheet and no center piece, so if you tram to the left and right corners you either have a high center or a low center. What most people do is grab some silicone tube material and replace the springs then manually permanently set the z height then rely on a bed leveler
However this isn’t prusa super pinda or like Bambi labs photo detection and LiDAR shit
They use a little spring and poker setup it’s super fucking ghetto and doesn’t work well.
Ender 3s also don’t have linear rails or misumi bearing and ground rod axis they actually literally I shit you not…. Stick a rubber fucking wheel in the extrusion as the ways
I’m not fucking joking they shove a literal fucking rubber wheel in the extrusion I swear lol, that’s where most of your speed limitation and where the lack of resolution comes from
Which is why when you hold a .2 layer print next to an ender prjnt the ender print doesn’t look as sweet
Cool redditspaced comment.
How do you explain the hundred of guns people have printed on stock ender 3s?
all those are gay
PLA doesn’t need to be printed at 200c unless you’ve got your printer in a cold drafty room. Someone who does zero research might melt the bowden tube on an Ender, god knows it does happen to enough people, but if you’ve got the brains to print the airflow mods for your Ender before you decide to start pushing the limits, you’ll be fine. I printed both AR lowers and Glock frames with my Ender before I ended up spending the $40 it cost to protect your Bowden tube from your hot end, and I did that so I could print PETG, more than because I was worried about PLA failures.
My plastic extruder drive lasted around 30 kgs of filament, and in the end I broke it being a gorilla with my hands, it didn’t fail on me mid print. I didn’t jump straight in to printing large dimension critical parts, I started by making trinkets, game tokens, and printer mods, worked my way up to larger structural pieces, experimenting with what worked and what didn’t, before doing large and dimension critical parts.
Keep your printer in a warm dry room, it helps a lot. Garages and basements are not suitable. A tent helps if you don’t have a warm dry place for the printer.
Seig is right that the Ender 3 sucks (or at least is obsolete), but I suspect that this is mostly by accident. He’s a fat ugly retard with a fat ugly girlfriend, and he’s afraid of the law, which makes him get mad when other people aren’t. I’m glad he trips up, I would be upset if his posts were multiple angry retards.
You need the LMT printer right?
>A gun lower on an ender 3 is probably impossible
Are you high?
He's just a trolling tripfag, he shits up any thread that mentions 3D printed guns.
I did multiple 36hr prints on my 3v2. you just don't know anything about printing.
You trust Turk Jank over your own work?
>Turk Jank
you don't trust your future president? :^)

ayyyyy
Yeah, babys first 3d print vs what some autistic enthusiast lovingly crafted as a proof of concept, vs a turk clone that /k/ has told me is "good enough". The cost is the same when you factor in getting an ender dragon.
Do I still need some kind of parts kit though?
They tend not to ship to my state
page 5

Nothing to see here, just another meme for /k/ to bitch about until the end of time.
>Shall!
Shut up and focus on getting your shitty p80 running (it involves using oe parts and will cost as much as a Glock when done)
I wonder what became of the .577 zoomer anon, his project was cool.
My p80 was made with the cheapest parts available and after 1000 rounds it has not malfunctioned once. Literally get good because I'm a literal retard. I went to special ed and everything.
>I wonder what became of the .577 zoomer anon, his project was cool.
I just don't have anywhere to do a rocket round. I might be able to swing it when I'm done at my current job, but as it is now I'm traveling about 85% of the time. I miss my guns.
Well I hope you pick it back up once life settles down, good luck anon
thanks. I'm doing other stuff in the mean time. trying to figure out how to suppress desert eagles without cutting down one of the long barrels.
>he's too fucking stupid to build a p80
>he thinks you have to pay a lot for components made by dozens of companies on an open patent for one of the most common guns on the planet
Lmaoing at your life bitch. Let me guess you bought a dremel and hogged down too much like a bitch then cried that it was someone else's fault you never took shop class?
I've made them for $200 in random parts and under $300 from all oem gunbusters ex-hoodrat kit. Counting everything but mags.
Any difference in particular vs the KF5?
Main thing seems to be the kf5 has flanges holding the body together
Are you retarded?
>bought an entry level 3D printer
>spend over a month calibrating the damn thing and trying different methods, materials, and slicers
>Prints still come out looking like shit despite reading through what little advice is available online
I love when zoomers are like you can buy an ender 3 and make anything!!!
It’s only $100
You just need an:
All metal hot end
Silicone bed levelers
All metal extruder
Replacement Bowden tube
Replace the magnetic bed and z homing switch with a printed part
Second z-axis lead screw if you want to print taller than 1/3rd the bed height,
Replace the board with one with silent drivers
Buy a raspberry pi
Load it with custom firmware
Swap the heat bed elements
And maybe just replace the frame with the ender extender
So you’re buying and ender 3 and keeping what exactly?
The LCD screen and the knob you press to start prints?
heckin' n' cock
where is the file that the printer needs?
Don't mind me, just posting some fatty repellant.
>about 1000 dollars for mp5 at home
So... the price of a real mp5
Like I said earlier, as a concept 3d printed guns are cool but in reality they suck.
>a real mp5
but thats half the cost of a real mp5
AP5s cost that much
>Inb4 not a real MP5
Fuck off pedant, doesn't have to be H&K stamped to be an MP5
The only difference between an HK and an MKE made MP5 is if it's the brother who immigrated to Germany or the one who stayed in Turkey
This was developed and in beta release prior to the AP5 release.
So initially this was the only way to get a $1000 10mm mp5.
I have one. Far lighter than ap5 too
I've been using a flashforge creator pro for a literal decade and its never missed a beat, only thing I've done to it is added airflow to the nozzles for better ABS printing.
Do enderbros really have it this bad?
With those arms, you just know that dude as been around plastic all his life.
Can you print the springs and bolt and barrel and magazine spring and 9mm ammunition or is this another airsoft toy filled with melty plastic and actual metal parts and ammunition from the usual printed gun lie merchants. Here's thought OP if you have all the pressure bearing parts that contact ammunition why the fuck would you install them in melty plastic crap?
because a brand new sp5 is 3000 dollars and you cant get it in glow in the dark orange or boypussy pink
You don;t own any guns do you and you don;t even understand the point I'm making. If you want a toy you can buy a semi auto 22 shaped like an MP5 which will probably have more longevity than this bowl of melty plastic with pressure bearing metal parts and ammunition.
>longevity
the person who made this had 10k rounds through it. which most of the time is a good amount of the barrels life.
as long as you are not doing 200 round mag dumps the gun will be fine.
>boypussy pink
Be on homophobic website, see this.
1. Its illegal to have a firearm that can't be detected by a metal detector.
2. Its not possible
3. Print it out of nylon/poly carbon it doesn't "melt".
Right, because it's illegal to make guns.
>DA GOVMENT ONLY GOES AFTER ILLEGAL TINGS!!!!
The people 3d printing guns are by far the most likely to actually break gun laws and/or defy a future gun ban or confiscation. That's why the government wants to know who's doing it, not because the act of making a gun in of itself is illegal. Retard.
>The people 3d printing guns are by far the most likely to actually break gun laws
Bold assumption you retard, let's hear your next big theory while the ATF continues to crack down on SOTs and FFLs rather than people who 3D print Glocks.
I know this is crazy but the government can actually afford to pursue more than one thing at once.
OK. so here's my macdaddy. I highly recommend them. the print has a lot of bridging, but it isn't in a critical area. a lot of fun for ~300smackers
looking forward to the amigo verde build, if you're still planning on doing it
ukies got some high-end pbf units and hardware hacking tools (pcb fab stuff etc.) in recently. so i'll be aiming to expand my catalogue of me-made horrors in actual service use over the winter, if there's time and it's sensible. til recently it's pretty much all been extrusion and resin, print queues perma-slammed with
>drone-related parts
>comm-related parts
>verrry occasional spare parts for small arms.
useful stuff, but only a fraction of the fun that could be had. gets dull
>if you're still planning on doing it
I already bought the kit so you bet your ass I'm doing it. might take a while since I'm away from home so much for a while. it's on the
>definitely happening
list, though.
the US has no more gun laws/bans after Bruen sooo
not really something to worry about
Not sure if this post is a Bloomberg demoralization false flag or you’re the one guy who they don’t work on
sieg has always been like this. California Tradie Too Angry To Die onion article of a man / resident curmudgeon. he's on a 3-day vacation for naming the israelite or explaining how obummer lied and 2A died or whatever, though. so don't expect him to admit to replying to you further itt.
is it actually roller delayed, or is it just simple blowback?
If you stick an MP5 bolt into an MP5 trunnion is it actually roller delayed or just simple blowback? Scientists fail to arrive at consensus.
Weird how the 3d print threads always bring the shills.

If you don't make guns then fuck you.
