I’ve walked 400 miles into grizz country in the past 3.5 weeks. Haven’t carried spray, haven’t seen a grizz or black bear. Did see a gigantic moose the other day about 40 feet down the trail, he took off in the other direction

He was driving from Knox to Charlotte and decided to stop at a trailhead and spend the night at a campsite. He was an eagle scout and was in the national guard. He didn't tell anyone that he was doing it so when he never showed up in Charlotte he was reporting missing. they found is car a few days later and his body was found soon after.
