After almost five entire years, the new Contender is finally here. Of course sold out immediately and only available to dealers at the moment. Looks like $395 a pop. I amn't affiliated with these companies but wanted to let anons know. Muzzleloader upper coming soon.
>$1,975
>must purchase 5 units
>$9,875
>CRAAWWWWWLLLIIINNGGGG INNNNN MY SKINNNNNNNN-
Is it $1975 for five units, or $1975 per unit?
I bought an SSK barrel for my T/C; fucking thing wouldn't lock up properly.
>$395 each dealer price
>receiver only
PSA when.
I like the Khajiit on the side.
so it's a 2,000 trigger? what the fuck? just buy a better gun for that price holy shit.
Considering beat to shit examples are going for 700, that's reasonable, but until someone starts cranking out barrels for literally any price less than $you-must-be-on-crack, this is the smallest niche of retard consoomer goyslop.
Sucks because it's a fine idea for weird/rare/obscure cartridge fanatics.
395 cost would make it about 5-600 on the shelf depending on the particular shop's margins.

I can't tell if that's steep or not. I guess it depends on what the barrels run. if you can grab most common calibers for ~150-200 bucks, that would, if you got a lot of barrels, be pretty neat. kinda pricey for a one off.
You may see a couple online stores sell it for 5-10% over, but I imagine those will be sold out quickly. Normal margins on firearms is about 25%. Something like that is probably only interesting to people that are already invested in the contender system. Barrels run about 2-400 a piece.
I mean, it's a decent option if you wanted to dabble in a caliber. if you've already got powder, primers, a press and the receiver, you could get into something new for the price of the barrel, dies and some brass.
CONTENDIES!?
i love rough tooling marks like you wouldn't believe
