It’s 1987 and a cult has been ritualistically murdering people around your town. It’s up to you and a handful of other people to stop them. What firearms are you using (main primary and sidearm)?

1911 in .38 super as a sidearm
I'm leaving town, later suckers.
I see you're a fan of Wendi. I'll take a M60 and a LAW tube, both blessed of course
What are you talking about moron this game is all over steam
Yes, one that's been out for nearly a year yet this thread comes out a day after a big youtuber makes a vid about it
>this game is all over steam
Well fuck off to /v/ and talk about it there then
NTA, but 9 times out of 10 /v/ is shit for discussing video games.
>Well fuck off to /v/
>to talk about video games

If I’m myself in 1987 and as into guns as I am now and had money for the latest and greatest:
>Colt AR15 A2 Sporter 2 or Govt Carbine, probably Sporter 2 because I like them better
>Beretta 92F
If I’m myself in 1987 and as into guns as I am now and didn’t have money for the latest and greatest and was stuck with “last gen”:
>M1 Garand or M1 Carbine, probably Garand because I like them better
>1911 or S&W Model 19
If I’m myself in 1987 and as into guns as I am now but was a total poorfag stuck with straight up handmedown from grandpa type stuff:
>Winchester 1894
>Ruger Blackhawk in .357
Plus my Bible and of course.
>tfw you will never blast blasphemous degenerate Devil worshipers with the boys
PrepHole becomes the rooftop hilbillies
Flare gun
M60 with a cross strapped/hanging from it so I can exorcise and shoot, along with extra crosses tied to each hand so I can't drop them.
Stop you're killing me bro
are you the guy writing the book?
the answer is fudd guns and m1 carbines
Dualwield an AR and SLR and wait 9 years for the cult members to congregate in a popular port cafe. The other guys will be helping out too since there's no possible way to ambush all of them with the accuracy needed by myself. Not sure what weapons they'll use but they have access to pretty much anything they want.
>Winchester Model 71
>Colt Series 70 in .38 Super
>Buck 119
Not gonna assault their compound or anything. Just gonna hunt them for sport.
Love the .348, just need that improved shoulder...
and more jacketed bullets available.
I join them instead

My 590 has one of those streamlight grips which since 90% of the game takes place in the dark I figure it'll be useful. Deagle strictly because if I'm using my sidearm I want as close to a 1 shot stop as possible

I am a bit of a cult investigator myself. I would aid law enforcement and private investigators in different methods the cult uses and different ways the preform rituals both inside and outside.
My main side arm would be PPK and a FAL in the back of a Buick regal 1986
Any suggestions on any fiction books with shootouts with cults?
Yeah, lemme get some recommendations might be a bit
I remember this. Some absolute hero threw it in with the Finders stuff.
Yeah, especially because its an FBI release. I remember Pic related in 2014 and cant find any of the videos online, you know those kids were telling the truth. Its the hampstead cover up btw
Stained By Blood and In The Dark Of Night by Douglas J Hagman. About a cop in the 1980s exploring satanic cults in florida and satanic ritual abuse, murder, pedophilia blackmail. Some good action but the character is almost like a more mellow Bruce Willis from die hard.
Last Days by Brian Evenson The story follows a detective kidnapped by a religious cult who believe amputations bring one closer to God.
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo about cults, dark magic, murder in Ivy league schools and their higher ups.
Satan's Love Child by Brian McNaughton is really terrific and starts with a Satanic cult, but gets into very weird Lovecraft territory by the third book (Satan's Seductress).
Last Days by Adam Nevill. The book follows Kyle Freeman, a guerrilla documentary maker who has been hired to make a film about the Temple of the Last Days
Thank you for this. I have made a number of threads on PrepHole over the years looking for something with a cult shootout and countless google searches and nothing delivers

>When they found themselves without a home, Ottis told Henry he’d done more killing than he told him about. He’d been made a member of the Satanic cult the Hand of Death and wanted Henry to join, too. This wasn’t the first time that Henry would have killed, raped or even possibly cannibalized another human. But this was very detailed and had repercussions that would lead to your death without exception. Lucas later confessed that he wanted to join and told Ottis. He understood he would be killed if he did anything to betray the cult and that the only way out was death. His parents hadn’t taught him about religion, so there was nothing in Henry’s way of becoming a Satanist. Worshipping the Devil really meant nothing to him. When confessing all this to police years later, many people didn’t believe Henry’s claims. there was evidence and the police were convinced enough to organize a task force.
>Ottis told Henry that the Satanic rituals would keep them safe and from being caught. There was a power there they would be protected by, as long as they obeyed the cult. Henry and Ottis went to Florida to have Henry see the training camp that was set up in the Everglades. There, in an isolated spot, they met a man named Don that Ottis seemed to know well. It was becoming clear to Henry that Ottis had already proved himself to the cult many times over and now he must do the same if he wanted to join. They went to a tent where a young man was drinking and smoking. Don looked at Henry and told him, “Kill him. And make it clean. Only then will you be one of us.” The man was a student, had betrayed his oath to the cult and must be killed, Don explained. Ottis had a bottle of whisky and was ready to go. They walked down to the water with the young man, who was still drinking and talking. Henry waited until he stood at the edge of the water and was tipping his head back for a drink, when he grabbed him from behind and slit his throat
1/?
>Don smiled at such a clean kill. The body, according to Henry, was used in a cult ritual where the body was mutilitated, the heart cut out and some of the flesh eaten.
>After that, Henry was a member and in training, according to him, all new members had a sponsor. The camp had both men and women and had both day and night activities: days were for training in all forms of crime: Murder, kidnapping, rape, drug selling and the making of pornographic movies and photos. At night, there were liquor and drugs for everyone and Henry claimed sex was plentiful. There were evening sacrifices, transient people or sometimes people who had in some way or another betrayed the cult and was considered a liability. It was as if there were no shortage of bodies to kill, and Henry was quite willing to kill as many as he possibly could. Engaging in the training activities with his partner assigned by the cult, Henry was trained for 7 weeks in almost every form of criminal activity imaginable. Shortly after his training was completed, he was assigned to the kidnapping division of the organization. Ottis was there to work with him and they were told they could make a lot of money by kidnapping. There would be no killing and it would be much easier.
2/?
>In 1978 the chances of being caught were much slimmer, the Amber Alert not having been instituted yet. Henry and Ottis took their first job by kidnapping 3 babies and running them across the border of Mexico to a ranch in Chihuahua. Henry claimed he and Ottis also kidnapped several teenage girls that were used in pornographic snuff films. Knowing they would die at the end wasn’t troubling for him. By that time, he’d killed so many people; he said it just didn’t matter anymore. But the stakes were higher in the killing game than in the kidnapping operations and after nearly a year, Henry asked to be transferred there. In a year, he claimed to have carried out 6 high profile executions. Most of these were in Texas and Mexico, with one in Canada. He told the police at the time of his incarceration that he was offered the job of delivering the cyanide to Jim Jones in Guyana and assassinating then President Jimmy Carter. How much all of this is fact and not a figment of Henry’s imagination, one is left to speculate. But what happened next is fact, and not open to interpretation.

You have to remember HLL and Ottis Toole were profound liars and conmen, but their killing does match up with american and mexican children taken around the border, and there is ties some think to the murder of mark kilroy by Adolfo Constanzo and his satanic cult. RIP Mark.
Might dump a few pages from this book, its a lot of boomer nonsense regarding certain things and overplayed panic. But I firmly do believe that there were and still are satanic cults working, killing, and kidnapping. Look at michael aquino and the NSA
Also its weird that Lucas was pardoned by George Bush for all the evil shit

>Dr Michael aquino
Haven't heard that name in a while. You ever watch the Randy Prozac stuff?
>Randy Prozac
His GOAT WORSHIP stuff? I have seen a bit and looked into him, it seems harmless and has the spirit of mid 2000s edgy goth kids mixed in with 2013 4chan style
here is his new website, there is nothing legit satanic or malicious about it.

He always talked a shit ton about Aquino and he predicted the covid/vax shit like 10 years ahead of time down to the infamous spring breakers covid news story.
Always thought randy was some sort of test subject who got away and was trying to warn everyone.
>He always talked a shit ton about Aquino and he predicted the covid/vax shit like 10 years ahead of time down to the infamous spring breakers covid news story.
I missed that tbh, predicting a global pandemic or flu is not that rare. But it may be something, or just some edgy shit posting with lucky guesses into the future. I am sad because I didnt pay enough attention to him, it reminds me of that guy 10 years ago NobodyTM
Damn, every now and then I bring up Nobody TM on the chans and he's been completely memory holed. No one remembers or knows him. You might be the first anon in like 5 years that's actually mentioned him. His stuff was fucking crazy, especially those little monologs he'd give interspersed in the videos. Shame not all the videos were saved. I'd love to watch them again.
What do you think Nobody TM was? Just an artist or some actually enlightened individual?
>No one remembers or knows him. You might be the first anon in like 5 years that's actually mentioned him
Well thats because 99% of people posting here are third worlders with no guns and just overall terrible posters.
>What do you think Nobody TM was? Just an artist or some actually enlightened individual?
I just think a 4chanposter before the board went to absolute shit and destroyed. Who had a talent for surrealist art and mixing videos of liberalist/neo-liberal consequences with esoteric editing and with a soundtrack of electronic to shoegaze their evil.

What is this book? Anybody can tell?
I posted it, fell asleep here is the book
Thank you Anon.

A good book on this subject of cult awareness is called "Dangerous Persuaders" by Louise Samways. It can be found on google if you type in the title. It has 80 pages and contains some interesting knowledge on how these groups operate and manipulate people.
Just read through it. It's certainly an interesting book, but I found that the author seems to have some pretty bizarre beliefs herself. Her denouncing of traditional religion while also promoting her "free energy healing book" makes me think that there is perhaps more to be suHispanicious about in this work than one might think.
Yeah, I am not familiar with any of her other work, but in my opinion anybody preaching some energy healing stuff is a bit crazy.

Holy shit anon, you just pulled that out of the memory hole for me

The emperor isnt' a god fucknut, stop being brainwashed by the ecclesiarchy. Astartes don't believe that the emprah is a God.
ALL HAIL THE MAN MAN-MAN OF MAN!
PRAISE BE TO THE MAN-EMPEROR OF MANKIND!
>he doesn't know about the Black Templars or any other Chapter that considers the Emperor a God.
Your faith is weak.
oh hey the dumbass chapters of rogal dung who "meditated" by putting himself in a gimp suit.
Nice choice. I hate the ultramarines but at least they're not going against the emperors wishes. Even malcador didn't consider the emperor a god. 10th edition was a mistake.
The Emperor can wish all he wants, you don't get to be a being feared by the Chaos Gods who can psychicly force thousands of Astartes to kneel and watch their city get raped and not be a God. He's literally called Anathema by Dark Gods. What is the opposite of a Dark God? Not a human, a God of Light. Their faith in him produces objective results. Same with saints like Celestine or the entirety of the Argent Shroud and Battle Sisters in general.

This book has a lot of information on cult mind control, from Hitler to Charles Manson to Elron Hubbard to Jimmy Swaggart. The author got death threats when she published it. Especially when she included Amway, Scientology and fundamentalist religions as "cults". Remember, before Chanology most people thought Dianetics was some kind of self-help.

some form of shotgun or rifle, preferrably an FAL or Winchester 1200 for my tastes, because demons need to take physical form & play by our worldly rules when on our side of the void, as we would have to on theirs.

I would also get the local exorcist to come with me.
Faith 1:
-Ithaca 37 with Buckshot
-Michael isn't so bad if you're armed, as even John kills him with some hunting rifle and a single bullet (with assistance from a passing truck). The bonus boss is different, no guarantees if it's corporeal. Amy is certainly tangible, but the entire point is to exorcise her and any ending with her shot just sees John put away again. The deer is right out.
Faith 2:
-M1 Carbine with Improvised Flashlight
-Browning Hi-Power
-Mostly sewer cultists and some assorted demons. The whole thing is technically a dream, but if it did happen, the above loadout would be best. The beginning demons would be the biggest challenge since they're either incorporeal or difficult to hit. Practicing exorcism like in the game would be best unless you think you can hit a sentient umbilical cord extending from a tree. Alpha Strike into Gary the first chance you get (even if he'd probably survive) and pull out all the stops when defending Father Garcia.
Faith 3:
-M16A1 w/ M203
-Ithaca 37 with Bayonet
-Browning Hi-Power
-This is where John needs to stop fucking around and get to exorcising the town in both senses of the word. If Father Garcia can't be there with John the whole time, then so be it. The Abortion Clinic shouldn't be too bad, everything should be corporeal, but the extra boss fight with the lady and the fetuses would be a complete pain in the ass. Do everything you can to save the cop, one more guy with a gun would make the apartment clearing process infinitely easier. Save Lisa, of course, but go directly to her apartment and blow the door off its hinges instead of fucking around with the puzzles. For the last level, use the cop bro to either lend ammo/support for John as he goes in alone. Sending the whole police force would get them slaughtered. From there, play it like Doom until you hit Unspeakable. With the remaining ammo and the will of God, you will see this place cleansed. In the end, ride off into the rainstorm with Garcia.

I wish that "secret" boss fight wasn't fucking tedious, otherwise I'd finished the game by now. All the other fights had checkpoints for every phase, but I can't get passed several seconds through the second phase without getting killed, and coming back to the moment Gary saying he doesn't love me.
