I mean is there any surprise? Slat Armor / RPG nets do work. Extra for shitty drones
There was just some good ol' banter that the second best army in the region would have a professional system. And cover more area than the tank cope kippah did.
the AT variant of the lancet uses a single HEAT warhead which means its main payload detonates prematurely before reaching its main target like picrel
while Javelins have a tandem warhead which was originally designed to negate Soviet ERA with the nice side effect of just completely ignoring cope cages
If Russians had simply given lancet a tandem warhead this SPG would have been toast
though considering that Western Powers dont put ERA on jackshit I am not surprised that Russian engineers didn't think a tandem warhead would be worth it
>single HEAT warhead
1)This can't be real.
2)This would explain why the Germs have been putting rubber blocks that functions as basic NERA on top of their newer PzH-2000s.
Considering they are using chain link fencing, it might be possible to slide reinforcement pieces in. I've seen privacy strips that will slide into the gaps of this fencing. Replace with rebar or something?
You don't want to slide reinforcement plates in. It's better if the warhead doesn't actually get detonated and the munition gets stuck or damaged by the fencing since if the warhead is pointed in the right direction, the spacing will not change much unless you've spaced it really far away. Within ~7 calibers of the warhead you're actually improving its pen by giving it spacing.
>Lancet explodes with considerable standoff
Lancet explodes on contact unless heat, which overshoot. Have you wondered why pajeet haven't posted video of this Lancet yet?
What's the tactical advantage of wasting your weight limit on a metal frame when you could use composite material instead, gaining either range or more payload?
>Russians come up with cope cage >It does frick all because ATGM top attack mode isn't effected by it >Ukrainians see the idea >Realize you could use a chainlink net to catch suicide drones coming down on a tank >Implement the idea in a way that actually works
This is the difference between a developed nation and a cargo cult.
>Russians utilise ATGM rigs on top of their tanks >HAHAHA COPE CAGES LOL LMAO >Okrainans do literally the same >based fellow redditors can i get some reddit gol kind stranger???
>Can you show one (1) case of the cope cages actually working?
Not the one who you’re asking, but it would seem we only see results of cope cages not working…. I guess there would be, if they worked, pictures of busted cages but functional tanks. Probably best evidence they don’t work is that it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a tank with one.
Why do dumb fricks always jump to conclusions and assume every photo or video is exactly what it seems to be?
I dont even know what munition that is, but use your fricking eyeballs and some crititical thinking. That's the tail section of some kind of munition, probably a lancet. Those wings are the rear stabilizers, just look at where they actuate, the leading edge is facing up. The "nose" that you moronic monkey Black folk are thinking is an unexploded warhead is the motor to which blades rotated to propel this munition. the section pointing to the sky is where the actual guidance and warhead section was, but clearly exploded. The munition likely didnt even hit the SPG but insead exploded close to it and tossed this section into the chain link. This "cope cage" didn't do anything, because the munition itself didnt even hit the target.
a quick google and yeah, this is the tail section of something like a lancet. use your brains, Black folk.

What your "analysis" is based on? Pure cope?
where are the russian homosexuals who were laughing at this literally 2 days ago? kokoko again? lol
dope net > cope cage

Did it explode at all?
yeah

APU, QUICK, ADD EXPLOSION EFFECT IN POST PROCESSING
The Lancet explodes with considerable standoff though and this one has exploded, so I'm not sure how the chicken wire stopped it.

How would it determine that stand-off? Fancy laser rangefinding equipment? Or is there an invisible 6ft long pole on the front of it
Chain links can be good as stopping stuff
..zizters?!...

OH NO NO NO NO
What's that Howitzer? M109 variant?
its some variant of the Polish Krab SPG
Do material do you think would be flexible enough to make sure Lancet doesn't detonate?
This is why Russians thought the cope cages would be useful.

Finally a use for my stinky linkies.
Well yeah...
Wait are you one of the morons who cant grasp why the logs on armored vehicles stops shaped charges?

the lancet hit the 2s3 but failed to penetrate
What your link has to do with photo?
