It looks like that FPV/loitering munition object detection was far too unreliable for the real world.

It looks like that FPV/loitering munition object detection was far too unreliable for the real world. Pretty much no footage use it despite it being hailed as a revolution in EW resistance. It's just too unreliable in the real world where a vehicle can be totally covered by a camo net and blends perfectly into the background of the shitty video feed.

The Ukies aren't using it either. It just fizzed away.

It's actually been a thing on Western loitering munitions for some time, too, but adapting that to the much more numerous FPVs would still have been significant, if it worked.

It's the "box" on this Switchblade footage. Warmate has it too.

Yep, it's easily possible they just didn't make it work right away due to not enough effort being placed on it. But technically, it's a very simple thing and not challenging like OP seems to moronicly thing.

The AI needs more data to train on but both sides are time constrained. You bet some glowies are still working on it.

Okay morons. The article's even got an example. It says "target locked" at the top Now find a video from a FPV that has this.

Okay, post a video of a Ukie FPV using this.

moron, that doesn't mean it doesn't work. It only means the people who build those drones are too moronic to implement it. It's thousands of small companies run by complete idiots who don't even know how the drones work. This war shows that people responsible for the weapons and strategies are complete morons. But that definitely means it's the AI that doesn't work.

I'll give you that, the evidence doesn't say if it's AI or a traditional image recognition like OpenCV. But I gotta say that machine learning is getting EASY to implement. You can take a pre-trained image recognition model, free open source stuff, and then fine tune it on specific images. Then slap the software on a Linux ARM box from China. Information is free on the internet, so don't underestimate programmers from any country, we're on coding on the same playing field

As soon as they start Black person rigger some thermals the lethality will be far better although the countermeasures still are possible.
EO is useless on land. It barely works if the lock is manual and the conditions aren't bad to lose lock.

OK, here's a serious reply. It's not that AI doesn't work, it's that the drones are put together by morons in their garage from the most basic kits they could buy online. The drones are made by morons who can only put together a kit. It's all private companies that operate from a garage.
