I have to wait five years before I get to buy a rifle, I have a smoothbore to run around with. Kinda smoothboring.
Or I might just as well go study for graduation as a gamekeeper and get a rifle right at once. Though I don't really want to move to rural area.

        Yes.
Not that I can afford a rifle right now, I wouldn't mind just having the opportunity to apply for rifle purchase papers tomorrow. Until that sweet moment all I have to do is save for good rifle and a scope. I want something vintage looking, with the 50-60s spirit. The best option available would be CZ550 or Zastava, I think

I got my dad's 12 gauge side by side, that's what I'm allowed to own for next two years. After that I expect him to hand me his Benelli semi. He doesn't really need guns anymore and I do.
We have good slugs for sale , both factory and hand load opportunities

Bruh just spend it now. It's not like you're gonna live long enough to get a rifle anyway.

I didn't know Austria was so free in regard to firearms. As an Ameritard, I figure most euro countries are restrictive.

There are also many countries where you have to get a loicence, but it's fairly trivial if you have an IQ above amoeba-tier. I.e. no mandatory testing or shit like that

Ah, finally, a russian. I have a question about your guns laws.

I've seen that handguns are "banned" in Russia, but is that a real ban (i.e. UK) ? It mean no exception possible for a civilian to own a handgun, even if properly licenced ?

      There are few opportunities
      1. non-lethal handguns. From crappy gas derringers to battle handguns converted for non-lethal rubber bullet only mode. Nobody said that they can't be converted back into live ammo, but it's against the law.
      2. Award handguns. Do something on state service and you may be rewarded with a handgun like PM, Nagant, CZ75, Beretta 92 and others.
      3. Sports shooting like IPSC. You can train your handgun skill, buy ammo, own a pistol. but it should be stored at the gallery/range where you are training. I've seen pretty expensive and decorated handguns for sale in one of the most gucci gun shops in Moscow.

Oh, yes, there's a fourth option - pistol-caliber carbines, basically pistols with welded-on stocks and barrel extentions.

All I know about Russian gun laws came from picrel

        >pic
Well, it's partially true. "Long term" actually means 5 years. SHould have done all documents as I was in Uni, but I had no spare money back then. THen I'd be able to run a 30-06 Mauser I dream of.
        >barrel
        >mag
Pretty much true, however it is possible to buy mag extentions by FAB Defence for Tiger (civilian market SVD) and old army surplus AK mags for Saiga.
        >handguns
True. Either sportsman or someone of high importance/did a lot for teh muzerland.Otherwise you're limiter to rubber guns.
        >10 guns total
Yeah, 5 smoothbores, 5 rifles. Stupid, I say.
Reminds me of a story when poilce has besieged a guy in his estate. He was a gangster into gun trade/businessman who used to run a security company and had lots of guns at home, including assault rifles and SMGs.
        >.366 cal
It's ded now. After last school shooting-caused reforms Lancaster bore guns and paradox rifling guns are regulated as rifles. There's no point in making Lancaster or paradox anymore

That's extremely interesting and I've never heard of this before. By "state service" do you mean the military, or does this extend to all people?

There are some civil service men who own hanguns in this way.
