guess I will just have to make a power point about how the economy of PrepHole is not going to make it and /k/ is spending too much per capita on guns and weapons. it will be very dull and boring but will cause any statistician anywhere to cream themselves.

          >:p

I'd prefer if the top light/laser rail was straight instead of having that slope. Always have wondered why manufacturers haven't done that before many guns could use that so top mounted devices would not interfere with low mounted optics.

Because no one cared until GBRS made it popular. Hunters were already using uppers like RRA EOP and many others lost to time for prone shooting plus clearing IR lasers

      >have to chop a regular AR lower buffer tube thing off
Depending on how well this thing works long-term, that's a feature, not a bug. That's one of the weak points on 3D printed/polymer lowers and, because you can now put a folding stock on it without needing to drop 250 on a LAW tactical folder, it becomes easier to transport.
Because of the NFGAY, you could also get this as a "pistol"
Plus, I guess there are people who unironically want to be able to mag dump with the stock folded

I almost want to buy one of their builders kits then modify a custom engraved lower with this engraved.

Still not sure how making a piston driven gun that also dumps excess gas into the receiver is an improvement...

I know nothing about this rifle. Why the frick is there two tiers of rails?

One is the handguard, one is separate top rail, the point being you can mix and match different lengths of each, I guess. Advantage? I don't know, the SCAR is a bit chunky to c-clamp, but if it had an AR-sized handguard to hold onto that sort of fixes that.

      I thought it was Slovenian

      He's memeing, lurk more.

Pic related is also DI and shares a ton of AR parts.

Is that a built-in cope lever?

What exactly is so good about it's operating system? They marketed it as "hybrid", but how it's different from a regular short-stroke piston system like in Steyr AUG?

The advantage is an economic one, by moving the piston/gas chamber to the receiver, it has the ability to use AR barrels and gas blocks. So you have access to such a wide array of options in terms of quality and price.

I think thats the whole point. "We made our own unique piston gun but you can use AR bolts, trigger groups, LPKs, pistol grips, barrels, gas blocks, and SCAR stocks! The more proprietary a new weapon is the harder it is for it to take off, I think.

Does it really preserve advantages of DI systems (namely - low felt recoil)?

The only reason i want one is just how piss easy it is to 3d print a lower for it. With plenty of extra 16 varieties available
