Is this enough slats for a single bed? They're 4x1 and 250mm centers. Britbong btw, so enjoy the mixed units

    >enough slats
    Depends on the mattress.
Box spring? Probably? Foam, not so much.
More and fewer is the way to go.
    ALTHOUGH
If you want to keep what you got unmodified, you can get a commercial tablecloth -- like they have at reataurants, one with some heft -- or an old drape and pull that "tight" across it. Staple gun liberally around the perimeter. That'll bridge the gaps.

      >pull that "tight" across it. Staple gun liberally
      I.e. you'll build a combo frame/foundation

      Box spring, nothing fancy.

This is a good idea, it'll be a loft bed so it'll good the mattress underneath too

I think it is more than strong enough unless you are a pro wrestler with a fat woman
because I (american ) see bed frames using 4 1x4 and a thin OSB on top of them

No, no fats, just a teen girl

        >Box spring
You good. All day. So many beds are held up by 3x 1x4’s under the box spring. My last bed was like that and lasted for over a decade without issue.

He means more boards but thinner, so they deflect more at pressure points like where your hips and shoulders are, but still carry the same total weight. This will provide more comfort, because act like lead springs but also have smaller gaps so the mattress is still fully supported so it can operate effectively rather than being pushed through gaps

You would only need more if you were ever going to have sex on it, so it'll be fine for you.

Let me share a little secret with you. 12 bread crates make the PERFECT bed. You can collect them free off the street. Best bed I've ever had. Plus they are demountable, easily moved, and double as underbed storage. Don't tell Bakers Basco!

probably not , gaps look too big.
lying down won't be a problem but if you sit, kneel, stand on it the wrong way the mattress will get fucked up. yeah i stand on my bed so what.
