Its similar to GFP, but seems to have more details in the assessment
1 US
2 China
3 Russia
4 India
5 South Korea
6 Japan
7 Australia
8 North Korea
9 Singapore
10 Pakistan
11 Taiwan
12 Vietnam
13 Indonesia
14 Thailand
15 New Zealand
16 Malaysia
17 Philippines
18 Sri Lanka
19 Myanmar
20 Bangladesh
https://power.lowyinstitute.org/data/military-capability/
North Korea should be ahead of Japan
Australia is probably ahead of Japan too
Pakistan. Vietnam and Taiwan should be ahead of Singapore
The score seems to be:
US 90.7
power gap
China 68.1
power gap
Russia 52.5
power gap
India 44.1
power gap
South Korea 33.1
poewr gap
Japan 27.4, Australia 26.0, North Korea 25.7, Singapore 24.4, Pakistan 23.8
Surprised by the Singapore scores
Japan and South Korea should be 3rd-4th, ahead of Russia by virtue of how a Russo-Japanese or Russo-Korean war would be waged (air and sea).
IMPLESSIVE

Here's the Global Firepower Ranking for comparison
The fact the moronshill, coming from a quasi-warring country where military is its top priority into which a great deal of national resources are poured, represented by the full conscription system, is hell bent on proving its military advantage over a country that has a pacifist constitution to ban the military and a self defense force restrained to minimum necessary levels and that even then Korea is usually behind Japan on the meme ranking pretty much show Korea stands no chance, as always, if the sleeping dragon awakes.
kek
you're the easiest person on PrepHole to troll. Say one thing about Korea and you're sure to come running and screaming.
This shows that korea is ahead of japan despite having less than have the population, brutal moggery
Proves quality always beats quantity
ROK has nearly 4x as many total military personnel as pacifist Japan does, and yet it's usually behind Japan on GFP and a rare case like 2023 version excites you, proving Japanese qualitative superiority. This is why Koreans shit their pants at the thought of an actually remilitarized Japan.
If anything this underscores how much more of a military culture ROK has than Japan, South Korea has something like 50 million people compared to 125 million in japan, a "pacifist" culture ingrained over nearly century is not something that be changed in a few decades, at this point this is who the japanese are and similalrly the ROK military culture implies who they are as well
A sleeping pacifist dragon would tear up a tryhard shrimp any day. The dragon once literally eliminated the existence of Korea lol
Yeah, those shenanigans are the only thing shrimps can do, knowing that they are safe thanks to the Article 9 of the Constitution unless it accidentally hits and that such shenanigans don't awake the dragon as everyone knows that morons don't have the balls to do anything beyond that.
Only 2023 version as shown
> weeb detected using dragon which is chinese concept particularly by the japanese
If anything the historical stereotype is that Korea is a dagger pointed at the heart of Japan, this is what the Japanese people have believed for thousands of years
> Korea are morons and we really wish they'd cut that shit out so we could all focus on China and North Korea
Yea how dare Japan
The japanese are the most pacifistic nation on the planet and its systemic to their culture at this point, to them the US is considered the "moronest" of all "morons" and they constantly hold protests with thousands (this particular protest had almost 100,000 protesters) demanding the US gtfo of Japan
The nips fucking detest US whytoo bois
That's because Japan was afraid of Korea being used as a launching point by China into the mainland like the Mongols, not that the backwards Koreans were actually a threat themselves.
> Only 2023 version
Lmfao who the fuck gives a shit about anything that happened before, its the now and present that is the only thing that matters you schizo
but have you considered the effect of crab generals ?
> japan shitting their pants constantly over having both north korea and south korea as neighbors
The norks literally lob missiles over japan a few times a year every jap is wearing diapers at this point and still can't do shit about it, the norks literally laugh not to mentioned that most of the millions of zainichis is japan are actually nork supporters
The south barely gives japan a passing thought from a military perspective, the south korean guns are pointed north and west, south korean military literally lock onto japanese planes that fly in neutral waters and the japs can't do anything except file formal protests to the un
Japan truly is wearing diapers with their slowly doubling military budget and purchase of tomahawks from the US.
It seems a real nightmare scenario for Korea is becoming reality.
?t=444
Incidentally, the President of ROK has started to suck Big Yamato Cock, calling Japan a partner in the Independence Day speech of all things, pissing off the public, kek
https://thediplomat.com/2023/03/south-korean-president-calls-japan-partner-on-independence-day/
Korea is building 9 of these bad boys, they are intended for norks and chinks, but could easily be pointed east, the nips are constantly spreading cheeks for the SK and doing everything they can to get on the SK good side
9 of what? Nuclear ballistic missile subs?
No they're not.
They haven't even approved the final of the 2nd batch of your conventional powered ballistic missile subs. Let alone the rumored POTENTIAL nuclear variant in the future.
> weeb on suicide watch
The 9 is only the initial approved order that have already started being built, the long-term goal is to have a 30+ ssbns
This. Construction has started on the initial 9 ssbns, SK plans to build at least 30 ssbns all with slbms, ROK already has the largest sub fleet outside of the US and is moving to replace all conventionals with nuclear propulsion
>the initial approved order that have already started being built
Yes all conventional subs, none of them nuclear. All with 500km range conventional missiles. No nuclear missiles.
You keep acting like these are just like the French or UK subs when they're not. Nowhere close.
SK is developing SMR for even standard shipping and icebreaker vessels, you are delusional if you think nuclear propulsion is going to be behind commercially operated SMR powered ships
I don't really care what retards think tbh morons put up nips as an issue to appease a dwindling % of the population. Meanwhile a vast majority of South Koreans still hate North Koreans. SK and Japan will never go to war with each other.
Global Firepower has SK at 6 and Japan at 8
But the disparity is a lot greater than this, a typical South Korean soldier completely mogs anything Japan has, as a data point SK has something like 100,000+ special operations soldiers that are constantly conducting live operations globally, Japan does not have a special operations unit in the sense of the US/SK or even NATO
> ROK 500,000 reserves
> Japan 55,000 reserves
Its hypothetical since they will never go to war against each other but if they did it would look like a war between rednecks and gentrified globohomo libtards
>Russia in the top 16
Useless
What is this based on?? Singapore is literally a city state
The rankimgs are based off a nations economy, military, resources, resillience, culutural output, diplomatic output, and defence network. Singapore is high because of its economy and economic relations, relatively strong military for its size and diplomatic reach
That's comprehensive power ranking. Military is part of it.
Delete this, OP needs evidence that puts Korea before Japan. You can't post anything that does Japan is better than Korea, even if it's from the exact same source OP was using anyway.
>In 2023, Russia had gains in military capability (+0.9)
How
Japan's helicopter destroys can launch F35s so I'd say they are solidly ahead of India, Russia, and China.
Who the fuck does this weeb think he's fooling? Even the japanese know they have a shit tier military, the nip are about as anti-military as it gets, try getting a white collar job in japan with "japanese military" on your resume...
Yup, and in ROK its effectively impossible to get any job without a military service background
>my posts
Facts, logic
>your posts
No facts, no logic
anime website btw
Why are japs and chinks always talking we wuz kangz from an imagined time where nobody alive can verify the authencity of these ludicrous claims? Its like they don't realize they are thirdies
>3 Russia
>growing
lol. I see they have not upgraded the statistics since two years ago.
I think it maybe slightly misleading when you have US @ 90 and China @ 68.
In pure numbers, US has raw advantage, but the utilities are split across various continents.
European theatre cant support Pacific theatre, we have also split off parts into middle east/Africa as well.
If there's only 1 front for US/China, the match will be much closer imo since China only has 1 front to fight thus can focus 100% of their military there. Where as US can only focus maybe ~60-80%.
So a 90 pts x 80% = 72 for US vs 68 from China.
Its not a comfortable lead at all
It's more comfortable when you add Japan and Australia to the mix. South Korea can provide deterrence at best since they'll never participate in a large engagement against the Chinese unless it's through the North Korean border.
Japan and Australia can play with the US though, minimally providing logistical support in the region, but also men and arms if needed.
> japan resorting to recruiting women for combat roles due to inability to attract physically capable males
I don't think japan is going to be providing anything except tacit support by letting the US use their land as a forward military base
China has antagonised india and the south east asians. They would have a multi front war.
Never going to happen unless China intentionally provokes India while fighting US. They haven't been doing that, at best there's some border tensions/suHispanicions but both India/China cares about their borders and dont want things to escalate such that they're resorting to fistfights instead lol
India and the other nations China has beef with know that if China wins against the USA and it's allies in the area, they are next.
And while they might cower, china will need to keep forces on those borders just in case.
If India takes the F-35 bait I can see India be willing to take the chance.
> watered down f35s with all sensitive tech stripped off
Australia, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, UK, and US
These are the only countries that have operational F35s, to think India is going to join this list of "trusted" allies is laughable, even the other countries that are "approved" with "orders" will get the F35s at a future date when the tech is less sensitive relative to the most advanced available
So why did the US just spend a week in India showing off the F-35 in flight capabilities?
Then you have to consider the logistics side of things. Supporting a military campaign for 10K km is not possible in the future war where logistic ships gets lobbed by missile spams
The US did this without much effort almost 100 years ago in the same precise theater, its going to be even easier today
The world has changed since 100 years ago. We now have missile capable of striking any target anywhere in the world. Realistically, the Chinese have mass missiles output that can target any target within couple thousand kms off of their coast.
Then there's mass produced drone jets/aircrafts/subs/stealth drones in both air/sea/etc
There's no where to hide today.
> China only has 1 front to fight
This is completely false
China has the US/ROK/Japan and probably Taiwan on the eastern front
Australia/NZ/Southeast Asian countries on the southeastern front
Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan/Kyrgyzstan/Mongolia and potentially even Russia on the northern / northwestern front
India on the southwestern front
From a strategic perspective China is completely blocked, none of the above countries have any goodwill towards China
Russia does not belong in this list. It has zero force projection capacity in Asia and it has been demonstrated conclusively that most of its military assets are flatly dysfunctional and should count as 1/10th their physical number at best
Are you the nutcase that keeps bringing up force projection? The only country with proper force projection is the US, but there are probably another 50+ that can projected their forces if absolutely required, its not going to be pretty and the casualties would be massive, but again only the US has a real force projection capability to support a combined arms sustained operation
In reality SK is an extension of the US and is positioned as the muscle to keep the chinese (and japanese) in check
No other country holds regular nuclear weapons exercises with the US other than SK
The largest air exercise in the history of the planet was a few months ago
only largest in korea
The only exercise larger was RIMPAC 2022 which was the largest ever in the world, the US-ROK exercises are easily the next largest, nothing comes close probably even by a factor of 1:10+
Large scale combined arms military exercises are de riguer and happen on a near continual basis to ensure readiness of both the US and ROK are at the highest level possible, this exercise which is occurring now will be the largest in the history of the world makes the normandy beach landing seem like a bunch of national guardsmen on a weekend field exercise, yup that is the B1B in the picrel
All this korea numba one posting and posting.
Both are american proxies. SK is meant to contain NK in a conventional war and eat the nukes/ chemical/bio weapons of NK.
Japan is meant to keep the sea lanes open for the USA by hunting subs and to close it for their enemies.
And both won't do shit without the oval office telling them. Unless SK gets captured by some crazy cult again.
You are corect that SK is a US proxy, but their role is not only to contain NK, but also as a check to BOTH China and Japan, remember the US has fought wars against China and Japan within the past century and this irrefutable fact informs the basis of the US asia-pacific doctrine
>check Japan
>with an inferior fleet and airforce
>lacking the shipping needed to make landing big enough to establish a beach head
If the usa really wants to put SK over Japan it would have already told Japan to give sk those islands. But instead the USA has allowed Japan to keep those.
>but also as a check to BOTH China and Japan
Lmao what the fuck are you smoking.
Where is the US 7th fleet headquarters?
There are ~50-60k American service members stationed in Japan at any given time.
The US doesn't need South Korea to keep Japan in check. Stop being delusional moron.
Yes I'm aware you are a retarded moron, no need to keep hammering that point in.
Lmfao
I just don't understand how you even think you have a point here.
The US needs SK to keep Japan in check even though the US has been BEGGING Japan to re-arm and build up a stronger military for 50+ years now. Why the fuck would the US be trying to get Japan to build up their military if the US was concerned about being able to keep Japan in "check"
You can laugh and reply like Japan is BTFO but you just look like an idiot to anyone actually reading the thread.
Look at
It's some bot or a guy posting from a shill folder
lol
Wow you really got me
lol
>moron spamm is bot posting
Give kimchi technology and all they do is seeth about the Japanese because of 80 years ago
Ahem, Korea is a shitty butthurt ex Japanese colony possessed with a massive inferiority complex and is the biggest wannabe Japan extremely jealous of the reputation and popularity Japan enjoys, not least the famed military prowess which inspires/featured in the media and pop culture all the time, from samurai, ninja, to Imperial Navy.
> I'm white
lmfao
No, any weighted ranking is full of shit.
