Nothing in that image is real, technically. It's a screenshot of a video game. Are you asking if the rifle's appearance is accurate to what it's attempting to depict?
Look more like a Colt 723
Also i know about this page, i just dont know if they were right

at the end of the day the depiction isn't real and neither is their intention. This is as close to an answer as you're going to get when musing about these things.

I mean the buttstock look more like an M4
Only the carry handle look more like a Colt 723
>Yes they say its a Colt 653, but are they right ?
No, the colt 653 has a pencil barrel. the gun in your image has an M4 profile barrel, so it's a colt 723. some colt 723s had pencil barrels and some had M4 barrels, colt was not very consistent with the 723.

i googled it. first result. how are you this inept?
clearly not actually a 653 if you look at the barrel. you shouldn't be calling others inept

you can't tell if it's a CAR stock or waflle stock (M4) from the image
The whole generation was a mess of poorly made tricks that only served to obscure the visuals. >obvious motion blur on everything to try and hide abysmal framerates >bloom >24FPS when the camera turns, 30 when it's stationary >more bloom >DoF >that uncomfortable point when games were still learning how to implement procedural animation >tight video memory budget means anything not a character or item close to the camera's gonna either look blurry or have that jarring texture LoD transition that UE cursed us with >just a touch more bloom
It's not even a matter of "old bad" just "we tried to do more than the system can handle, and now have to compensate for it with painfully obvious visual tricks".
It's the same problem a lot of "visual overhaul" mods for older games run in to, where they cram a shitload of fancy shaders in, tank the framerate by 50-80%, then end up making everything look worse.
Don't get me wrong, smudging the lines here and there has to be done to make shit look good, but eventually you get to the point where you've turned the mona lisa into a finger painting.
Maybe for PS3 but there was plenty of releases from it that looked good, need I remind you that this generation also had Metro 2033, Battlefield 3, Far Cry 2, any resident evil game. The real issue is everyone used Unreal Engine 3 which like all versions of Unreal Engine sucks so much cock it's not even funny. UE is a bigger red flag than unitiy in my eyes it's the gayest most worst choice for anyone wanting to make a video game but everyone picked it because it was cheap and easy.
Someone needs to officially port the uncharted trilogy over to Steam finally. Hell even include that abysmally shitty psvita uncharted for the hell of it. Just give me these games in 60fps and with graphics tuned up
Typicaly a m4 has 1/2 inch barrel below legal length, a rail system, and a telescopic butt stock with a flat top reciever, and people trained on it will argue to the death every part is different than every other armalite. If you look in a technical manual the only real difference is a m4 typically has a flip up rear sight and due to the barrel length and sight difference they have slightly different zero's from older carry handle models with longer barrels.
Short answer no. Technically it's about close enough.

I mean is this supposed to be a real M4 or its just an AR that look very similar to the M4
Yes they say its a Colt 653, but are they right ?
Its the best game ever made
Only negative point is that you spend like 20 min in shamballa
They should have put more time in shamballa
>is it a Colt 653
Idk have you tried fucking googling it? I don't even know what video game you're talking about.
Its Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
>googling it
Yes but im not sure if its a M4 or Colt 653

Its the best cinematic action game in a decade and the best game Naught Dog has made in the same span of time.
>pic straight from imfdb with m653 still in filename
wtf is that retarded bait?
CIA AI program training by spamming low quality threads.
Fuck ya mudda
The PS3 has no games
Bait
but PS Triple got the best games
No good sir that would be the wii.
Thats a later model carbine, likely modeled off a Colt Model 723 (pic related). The M4 has a thicker handguard and removable carry handle.
Fuck
God these games looked like shit.
Bait
U2 is one of the best looking PS3 games
Even today its still impressive

The game dont have motion blur
only games I found technically impressive on the PS3 were killzone 3, 2 to a lesser extent and the motorstorm series. maybe Demon Soulz
NFS, Killzone and Uncharted games were the best looking
