Yeah, these aren't bad at all.
$300 is a very good price for high quality euro pistol too.

They're solid. Just don't expect hardly any aftermarket. Limited holster options. Triangle sights are different. Decent alternative for a quality $300-ish gun is the CZ P-10. Even the optic cut models were sub-$400 a couple times. They fit most Glock holsters.

Didn't they announced they have an optics ready version coming at shot show? CZ even has a gen 2/3 P10 coming too. Frick these europeans are doing gods work importing junk striker fire pistols for less than $400.

If NATO didn’t guarantee your military safety then your country would have to fund a functional one of its own, in which case your social programs would evaporate into military spending. On the plus side, prices for consumer goods would come down as now your infrastructure and manufacturing base has increased to meet military demands. Consumer firearms have now dropped in price due to lack of regulations surrounding the manufacture and distribution of said firearm. Now your firearm is affordable and your country is strong. Or you can kee being gay socialists, the choice is yours

I have insurance through my work and it costs a fraction of my income. How much does your government take from you to make sure that anyone can get hrt and dick chopping at a moment's notice?

But Finland hasn't been in NATO for even a year and the prices have been exactly as high for at least a decade.

Ok. Plus we had the exact same share of GDP allocated towards the military pre-NATO i.e. before 2023

Government taxing the frick out of you, plus gunstores being so niche that they rip your ass off with prices to keep themselves in business. Same fricking thing applies to my shithole and considering all the additional paperwork they wanna frick you over with so you don't get to exercise a basic human right, I just never bought anything because I got mad as frick that I know I'm gonna get mugged. I rather even take the chance with a TSA homosexual on the airport.

Twice the price of a Magpul Glock mag, though, and probably the full $40 at your LGS.

It's a good pistol but their are basically no holster options for it. I bought one then realized how hard it was to find holsters for it.

That's a really good deal. I haven't seen a Steyr pistol that cheap since 2010 or so.

For that price, it's fantastic. Those are cool. There are 2 drawbacks.
    1. The extreme grip angle makes mag dumping on target easy which is great but also if you're used to point shooting other pistols, it'll naturally point high. Only matters if you aren't aiming.
    2. The fat muzzle end and grip angle make it far less comfortable to carry IWB than other guns.
Other than that, they're set up for full power loads. So, you may have mild issues with weak 115gr target ammo but aside from the rare issue, which all manufacturers have, they're reliable.

The cool stuff you get is a relatively unique pistol with triangular rails that are supposed to help accuracy, a fully supported chamber made for +P rounds and a gun that you can mag dump on target easier than about any other gun due to your wrist being locked forward already.

As for the trapezoidal sights, they work but they're speed sights. Once you get used to them, they're pretty good but it take some getting used to and they offer little over traditional 3 block irons, kind of a gimmick but not bad.

absolutely, the steyr handguns have been good quality and criminally under priced for a long time now, the only downsides really are the unusual sights they come stock with and the lack of aftermarket support. That being said i really cant think of anything of comparable quality at that price point that doesnt have worse downsides

I have an m9a1, it's a great shooting pistol. It's just a little wider and taller than a glock, so not the greatest for concealing, but at that price get it

I bought one for $400 like a year ago. I like it a lot. Very cool looking and flat shooting.
Holster options are limited but you can get custom ones made if need be.
The sights are cool, just kind of annoying when I’m shooting other “regular” pistols and swap over to the steyr. I have to “relearn” the sights again.
If its going to be your main gun that won’t be a problem.
The rail is tiny on the c9 so uou’ll have to get a tiny flashlight, i bought the tiny olight and it works well enough.

Tl;dr get the space gat, buy a tiny weaponlight get a custom holster, shoot it a bunch.

What is the significance of the extra mags if the gun itself isn't as good? I would rather have a nice gun with three mags than a mediocre gun with ten mags.

I still cant decide between the $300 C9 and the $375 M9. If the C9 had a shorter grip it would be an easy choice but because it doesn't I cant decide. Money isnt really a factor here I just want one.

Styers are solid pistols. I have an m40a1. Very comfortable to shoot with grip angle amd bore axis like they are. The triangle/trapezoid sights take a little getting used to, but they are a very fast combat sight setup. Works on some optical principle having to do with how human brains process converging lines. Trijicon makes traditional 3-dot night sights if that is important to you. Very solidly built guns, barrels are heavier than Glock or S&W offerings in the same caliber. I use mine to shoot hot .40 s&w loads that approximate 10mm performance (180gr hard cast over 9.9gr of VV 3n38, 1225-1250fps).

Didnt know much about the gun so i watched some videos, everyone talk well about It.

I am not a gun Expert, but Steyr Is still a solid Company...honestly It seems like a great deal but i am an euro...and guns around here are much more expensive. Lucky you.

    But two extra Mag

    >why?

    Because why not.

p10 series can also be found around that pricepoint. not objectively better than a styer but just another option
