I've watched a few of his videos in the past. His depth of knowledge and passion for any subject is dependent on how well the Wikipedia article is written.
He doesn't make the scripts, he just reads them out on his 500 channels
its for the algorithm. thats what all them thumbnails are for. he is not sitting down and thinking about how good these look, his editor is sitting down and making shit for the god damn algorithm
I've watched a few of his videos in the past. His depth of knowledge and passion for any subject is dependent on how well the Wikipedia article is written.
He actually owns all the channels. Whenever he makes a channel he goes and hires freelancers to write scripts and do video editing for it. All he does is record himself talking, and upload the finished videos after he gets them back from the editors. He doesn't even pay attention to the content of the scripts he just reads through them and moves on to the next. He's well aware that most of his content is shit but he doesn't care because he's in it for the money. He's not one of those YouTubers making videos out of love for a topic, it's purely a business for him. He's his own boss and is making enough to support his family, that's all he actually cares about.
Simon Whistler. He has exactly one channel that I'll watch, Brain Blaze, the videos are ostensibly shitty click bait but instead of the boring mechanical presentation of his other channels he'll go off script into tangents about his personal life and there's on going banter between him and that channel's script writers. In some of the tangents he's talked about how he's in it for the money and how most of the scripts for his other channels essentially go in one ear and out the other.
YouTube algorithm promotes videos with soijack faces in the thumbnails. You unfortunately need to do this to maximize your revenue.
He doesn't write for any of them, he gets hired to make videos using scripts provided by clients.
He got his start on YouTube because he did voice work and a channel hired him to be the presenter. But now he runs his own channels and hires the scriptwriters. The quickie YouTube clickbait channels are kinda shit although they sometimes dig up interesting stuff I'd never heard of. The longer format ones like Casual Criminalist has real work put in by the writers. So of them har gone around the world interviewing people.
The dude never pretends to know what he's talking about. He always talk about how he just reads this stuff and feels stupid. Seems like a bro to grab a drink with.
I actually really like the biographics and geographics channels he has, the others can be hit or miss. sometimes the info isn't the most accurate and you can kinda tell they're put together pretty hastily sometimes.
He has channels for literally every goddamn clickbaity topic he can think of >engineering >true crime >war >business >geopolitics
He’s got his fingers in all the pies
Yeah, he does none of the work.
He just reads scripts into the camera. They are written and edited by other people. So he basically has a bunch of channels and does no work, just collecting that sweet sweet sponsored ad revenue
Not a bad weapon system at all.
Did me well, and then some,in Iraq ‘03 and again in Afghan ‘08.
From the start of my service,to this day, hitting targets at 700m was pretty simple, providing one abided by the ‘Marksmanship Principles’.
Apart from this man and maybe a few others no one here will or has fired one or used one enough to actually know, this won't stop people shitting on it though.
Question is, would YOU buy one if they were forsale in the US.
True.
I never, ever, had any issue with it.
Maintain it,look after, and it will serve you ‘true’.
Am not in USA,but saying that, overall,it’s a weapon system which does what is asked of it,pretty dam well.
If,i were in USA,then yes,i’d buy one.
Honestly.
Agreed, have used one over the past 22yrs,within UK and on Operations/War,and not actually, hand on heart, ever had a problem or issue with it,or any of the successive variations.
Gospel truth.
>Atrocious punctuation >Wrongly assumes people give a shit about his opinion >Aggravated assault against innocent quotation marks >Claims to be a squaddie
Checks out.
I don't think there's even an option to buy an sa80 in America? I don't think any were ever shipped or built to be marketed to north America and I don't think there were ever any clones. I've been never seen one anyway.
True.
I never, ever, had any issue with it.

Iraq ‘03 was SUSAT.
In my truly honest opinion,a very good sighting system, seriously.
Afghan ‘08 had an ACOG,which was fantastic, but, had been, and was used to SUSAT for the previous 8yrs.
Saying that,ACOG was very very good.
No issues,no problems.
Not him but fired L85A2 and the C8 and can tell you that ergonomics are largely just a case of what you are used to. I found the AR-15 extremely front heavy once all the gucci kit is on the end. L85 was really nice to maneuver.
Can confirm. The way the l85 is rear heavy makes it easy to handle, and a joy to keep it steady with one hand when you need to use your radio or whatever.
He has channels for literally every goddamn clickbaity topic he can think of >engineering >true crime >war >business >geopolitics
He’s got his fingers in all the pies
He has zero channels. He is hired ‘talent’ (using the word in its broadest possible way)
Agreed, the SA80 was a roughly engineered weapon system.
SA80A2 was massively improved,in all honesty.
SA80A3 is even more so improved and upgraded, with a whole host of options.
Yes,UK Government contracted the upgrades to H&K,but after those upgrades,a vastly improved system, and a great Assault Weapon.
A AR18 bullpup is not a bad thing, but if you tell your workers that after they've built these new rifles they'll be permanently laid off with no pensions or employment prospects, and then you use the absolute lowest quality materials instead of collaborating with Colt or Steyr to find out what polymer is best and looking at other weapons to figure out ergonomics. It's pure laziness, as indicated by the bullshit the MOD pulled over Sterling.
A1 was absolute dogshit and probably one of the worst combat rifles ever invented that was actually considered acceptable for mass production & adoption by a 1st world military.
Reason for jammed rounds was this; incorrectly loaded magazines, design of the wienering handle was flawed, hence it was redesigned within the A2 by H&K,as was the extractor and bolt.
Used SA80 in Iraq and Afghan,no issues,at all.
To be entirely fair, when you look at the development hell that resulted in the A1 it's a minor miracle that pulling the trigger didn't detonate a 'frick you charge' hidden away in the cheek rest by angry designers/factory staff.
This motherfricker is on like 20 channels and he literally just reads Wikipedia articles. You can even go through the wiki article along with the video on his historical and biographical videos and follow along, they change the words slightly but it hits the same beats in the same order.
No idea, yt feed gets spammed by this egghead, he looks annoying so I just ad his channels to demainstream addon. But he apparently has multiple channels and they keep spamming my feed.
>Germans redesigned it and took over primary production >no more problems
Yeah makes me think you’re uninformed and only get your knowledge through memes.
Yes it is an extremely bad weapon even after all the advancements. Everyone hated it and is glad to finally be moving back to a conventional rifle in a few years. They're counting the days.
It is a 1960s weapon. Is a Halberd a bad weapon? A bow and arrow? But yes, the manufacturing techniques are from the mid 60s, the design derived from 1963, the bullpup ideation even earlier. Project took 25 years.
>the design derived from 1963, the bullpup ideation even earlier. Project took 25 years.
Where are you getting 63 from? And your definition for the length of the project?
shitty zoomer reaction face thumbnail = hide all videos from this channel
Be so much easier if that c**t just had 1 channel to hide
This
He doesn't make the scripts, he just reads them out on his 500 channels
>shitty zoomer reaction face thumbnail = hide all videos from this channel
/thread
>shitty zoomer reaction face
It's even worse since the dude looks like he's 40, real "how do you do fellow kids" shit right there
its for the algorithm. thats what all them thumbnails are for. he is not sitting down and thinking about how good these look, his editor is sitting down and making shit for the god damn algorithm
I've watched a few of his videos in the past. His depth of knowledge and passion for any subject is dependent on how well the Wikipedia article is written.
He’s employed by the various channels. Has frick all to do with them other than presenting.
He actually owns all the channels. Whenever he makes a channel he goes and hires freelancers to write scripts and do video editing for it. What the frick.
This motherfricker has like 10 goddamn channels and they all seem to upload daily. Fricker needs a break.
Not the worst content in the world either, to be fair.
yeah, i thought he was mostly into history but ive seen some videos about weapons too
I actually really like the biographics and geographics channels he has, the others can be hit or miss. sometimes the info isn't the most accurate and you can kinda tell they're put together pretty hastily sometimes.
i remember he worked with VisualPolitik a few times, i can atleast guarantee VP is very accurate, one of the very few political channels i trust
too bad the english channel is second banana to the spanish one since the original channel is led by spaniards
I listen to a lot of the casual criminalist at work etc

No, he gets fees. He doesn’t even have to care about how many views the videos get.

I’d buy 2 and start my own general
Yes, I would.
Kys
how much would they cost bc im not paying more than 1000$ for one
>would YOU buy one if they were forsale in the US.
At Springfield-imported VHS to 16" AUG price range, yeah.
In Afgan did you have an Acog on the rifle or an Elcan? Iraq I'm guessing you had a Susat?
Iraq ‘03 was SUSAT.
In my truly honest opinion,a very good sighting system, seriously.
Afghan ‘08 had an ACOG,which was fantastic, but, had been, and was used to SUSAT for the previous 8yrs.
Saying that,ACOG was very very good.
No issues,no problems.
I too have a real soft spot for the SUSAT. I think it's unfairly maligned given how quickly you can acquire a nice large sight picture.
SUSAT was a very very good sighting system.
No question.
Have you ever shot an ar?
Not him but fired L85A2 and the C8 and can tell you that ergonomics are largely just a case of what you are used to. I found the AR-15 extremely front heavy once all the gucci kit is on the end. L85 was really nice to maneuver.

By all accounts the A3 is a really solid rifle. Took a while to get there though.
A3 is awesome,as an all round weapon system, with all the additional kit which can,and is,mounted upon it.
Seconded.
>A3
No such thing, stop buying into propaganda.
Because of penny pinching government employees and stupid procurement policies.
>perfect world
>adopt AUG
>put SUSAT
>profit

You know that's a thing already right?
>AUG
>SUSAT
No.
Yes it is, wanna bet?
Where is your god now
post-op ar18
A1 was absolute dogshit and probably one of the worst combat rifles ever invented that was actually considered acceptable for mass production & adoption by a 1st world military.
A3 is pretty average tbh
hello satan, i THINK part of the jamming was explained due to arid environment it was deployed in, right? i think i heard something like that
Reason for jammed rounds was this; incorrectly loaded magazines, design of the wienering handle was flawed, hence it was redesigned within the A2 by H&K,as was the extractor and bolt.
Used SA80 in Iraq and Afghan,no issues,at all.
>I get all of my opinions from anime: the post
A1 yes, it was a bad rifle and deserved the hate it got. A2 and the A3 are heavy but perfectly serviceable rifles
To be entirely fair, when you look at the development hell that resulted in the A1 it's a minor miracle that pulling the trigger didn't detonate a 'frick you charge' hidden away in the cheek rest by angry designers/factory staff.

It’s goofy looking, ergonomics look terrible, looks cheap, and I heard it was so shit that HK had to fix it for them
I heard the same about you
Another one of these threads. Every fricking day.
it's probably not as bad as it is portrayed, and is likely fine.
>British made it
>it had tons of problems
>Germans redesigned it and took over primary production
>no more problems
Makes you think.
>Germans redesigned it and took over primary production
>no more problems
Yeah makes me think you’re uninformed and only get your knowledge through memes.
H&K were in charge of the redesign, and primary production now takes place in Germany with assembly in the UK.
Was anything I said wrong?
You said germans. The team were British and hk was owned by bae at the time.
Yes it is an extremely bad weapon even after all the advancements. Everyone hated it and is glad to finally be moving back to a conventional rifle in a few years. They're counting the days.
it's a bullpup.
Aug, susat, 300blk.
The triforce
Come to think of it, why aren't there any 300blk barrels for aug?
>Bong damage control brigade says "it's a DREAM" to use
Yeah, that's why they're replacing it with an ar, INNIT???
It's not though. The replacement hasn't been announced yet.
It is a 1960s weapon. Is a Halberd a bad weapon? A bow and arrow? But yes, the manufacturing techniques are from the mid 60s, the design derived from 1963, the bullpup ideation even earlier. Project took 25 years.

Oh, you’re a moron. Cool. Development started in 69.
His facial expressions ruin every fricking video he does. Frick that guy
