It's pretty cool when manufactures really lean into the purpose of the design.
If only I didn't live in a shithole that doesn't allow that type of gun for hunting. Instead as far as semi-autos go, we have to resort to typical "hunting looking" guns such as the Browning BAR, with a fixed magazine limited to two rounds.
Such is life in Francuckistan.

inferior one, with the cheapest furniture with piss poor ergonomics

I have a strong desire to get this look of AK but I've never seen furniture close enough to make it. You would think there would be at least one guy manufacturing this style, whether the thumbhole or the classic rifle stock style, but I've never found it. Yeah I could buy one complete but I like to build ARs and AKs.
A Vepr forend would be nice, too. It wouldn't even have to be exact but something close with the same angles.
>borderline unethical hunting cartridge
Lol, they are typically chambered in .308 or 7,62x54R. Are you one of those mongoloids who believes that nothing short of .300 win mag can stop an animal?
I have an m88 and petra, the difference being one has a crossbolt safety and the other a traditional ak safety. You cant go wrong with finntech highly recommend if you can get on at a reasonable proce
A sportorized ak has to be greatest expression of poor taste imaginable.
Pretty sure only tranny tier homosexuals get into such depraved levels of perversity.
Not only are the dregs of third world aka “ak homosexuals” somehow managing to sit in a position of superiority over such specimen by the simply virtue of not being THAT fucking gay, but even literal single digit iq naggers with their dracos seem as gentlemen and scholars when put before such utterly grim levels of absolutely retarded, pozzed subhumanity as op.
Serb tier.
I had a 7.62x54r Vepr with a 23" barrel and a 6x PSO scope way back when but I traded it because the thing was a piece of shit. It wouldn't work with any aftermarket mags and apparently you had to dremel a super sketchy chamfer into the bolt (and they were sanctioned so you couldn't get a replacement) to get them to work because they randomly changed the bolt profile in the middle of production. the bolt would also get randomly stuck after firing and I'd have to mortar the thing.
it spiked up in value a ton after sanctions so I traded it for an AUG that I didn't really like either and I used that for a trade in to get a Benelli m4 which I love and still own so I don't regret buying the Vepr for $850 back in the day.
No, they're ugly and they have pretty much killed most of the rational civilian arms development in Russia and Serbia. >Be Brezhnev, an active hunter >Actively use all kinds of guns you got for gifts and not only gifts >Get reports on large waves of saigas eating our crops >"Hmmm, we need a new pest control semiauto, more affordable and simple than Medved carbine or many other Soviet guns in production" >"How about we adapt AK-74 for hunting purpose?" >Release first Saiga and drive antelopes into endangered status >Many years have passed, USSR has fallen and deindustrialisation got massive scale, crime rates are all time high >The gun factories shut down the higher end civilian arms production because it's not economically viable, wasn't that massive and had hard time competing with barely limited foreign gun and ammo import >"How about us turning Saiga into a shotgun for home defense AND work on improvement of the rifle's precision?" Said Izhevsk designers >Some time later, on Molot: "Hell, army wants those warehouses clear off those old crates of AK, we might get them into civilian grade and sell to common people" >Screw most of the civilian arms development, we're making AKs now, with few plinkers and fudd carbines on the side
yeah a normal one purchased by someone who doesnt need a cucked excuse and features to own it
>he can't appreciate the beauty of traditional civilian gun aesthetics married with the action of a service rifle
sad!
should have opened with this one. way nicer looking.
yuk
100 years from now people will look at it and said it was bubba'd in early 2000s
That's because it is.

Any good scope mount options for a vepr?

Yeah.
Yes, giving it the defudd-treatment.
there's nothing more putrid, actually
>thumbhole stock
I know what you're saying, but I think this is more what you're after

ugly and borderline unethical hunting cartridge
7.62x39 has similar balistics to 30-30.
Ak is fine.

some of the nicest AKs ever imported to the us look like they came from the planet of the apes
feels good man
Valmet M88. Finnish hunting AK in .30-06
Forgot pic
Kinda want.
They're kind of a pain even if you're a Finn
OOP for so long the mags cost €200 and there's a late model which takes different mags

Safari BAR vibes but better
Would rather use a mosin

What's it like being this obsessed with trannies?
I'm quite fond of them myself. Too bad it's near impossible to import them.
>vepr thread
nice
is there any way to uncuck these
Yeah.
Hunting with an SVD.
t. does this
Based anon.
Post pics of your setup
Dammit it’s late.
Hold on
There ya go.
Hell yeah, best kill you've gotten so far?
Took a buck with it a few years ago.
You're living my dream.
bought a new VEPR 5.45 years ago when they were ~$700
cut the rear tang off to install an ACE stock.
now they're worth like $3k+
how bad did I fuck up?

Sad to hear about the VEPR but what was wrong with the AUG? Integral scope or flat top?
The integral picatinny railed scope one with the waffle mags. It was a cool gun but I just wasn't a huge fan of the ergonomics or the optic.
Gorgeous OP

I hate when the local AKs wander in and eat all my ammo crops.
