If youre gonna go for some chambering you cant buy locally get something neat at least maybe a necked cartridge for zapping armored robots or a real auto magnum cartridge. .45 super is such a lame half ass compromise.
It's comparable to light .44 Mag loads and requires little or no modification to quality .45 ACP guns.
You can't shoot .45 super out of any HKs except the Mk 23 and FULL SIZE USPs. Trying it with any of the HK45s or USP compacts will blow your gun up. Their recoil system can't handle it.
Well, one of them actually exists as a standard and the other is just a way for people who think they're smarter than they really are to say "Bubba's pissin' hot handloads".
Anon, I'm gonna need a hand with your picrelated.
What the absolute fuck is that thing?
Its a really neat 3d printed pocket pistol and I cant get the guy who designed it to answer any messages I leave him on any site i find him on. At this point im considering taking a course on 3d modeling and doing it myself.
It's really fucking neato for sure.
I'm mostly curious about that "low profile" mag in the first picture, did they happen to mention how many rounds they squeeze in it?
Like, does it curve for increased capacity?
Also, Fusion 360 is really easy to learn for a first timer, and they have "student" versions of the software available for free.
Autodesk has a bunch of programs, other good ones are Inventor and the OG do-all, AutoCAD.
Most of the time you can figure out how to use them with a couple youtube videos, people make teaching content for them all the time.

They were very very sparse on details about it unfortunately.
Really not unfamiliar with designing things or wielding calipers or even artistic work in software just need to learn a program and my ADHD is so very strong these days. Its a curse and a blessing because I can learn things very fast and very easily IF i can focus enough to start doing it.
I want to make a big version in 7.62 tok and a small version in .32NAA or .22tcm.

I have no idea, like I said the person who made it was very secretive about it and I think theres only 3 pics of it total none disassembled.

I have 2 of them ive completely rebuilt and tuned.
Near 10mm power out of a 45 ACP handgun just buy upgrading the recoil spring and maybe the guide rod most of the time. Underwood even makes 135gr LFC defensive ammo that is supposed to have really low recoil.
it beats the shit out the gun and is harder to control. .45 super is a niche round at best.45 acp works. 185 expand just fine. just buy a 10mm if you need more power.
>it beats the shit out the gun and is harder to control.
Hence upgrading to a heavier recoil spring and a Springco recoil reduction guide rod. >.45 super is a niche round at best.45 acp works.
9mm “works” but we’re talking about pushing the 45 round to its limits here. Obviously most people won’t be shooting the extremely hot stuff for most of their training anyway. >185 expand just fine. just buy a 10mm if you need more power.
The 135gr Underwood loads use the Lehigh Defense non expanding Xtreme Defender projectiles. The power is about the same as some of their 10mm defensive ammo according to their own website.
Hardcast loads for animal defence.
JHP loads consistently over expand and under penetrate, or sometimes even break apart super shallow in the wound track
>JHP loads consistently over expand and under penetrate
Only if you're loading super lights for meme velocities. Shove something like a 250gr Long Colt XTP in there and it'll but a musket ball sized hole in both sides of your target.
Nah I'd rather 460 rowland
Nah I'd rather .45 WinMag
>not chambered in any functional gun
SAR K2 45? I have one of those as well. How did you do the conversion?
No
2 words buddy. 10 mm
2 words buddy. ammo availability
You can literally bulk buy on ammoseek you retarded beaver
one word buddy
gay

Yes. It's the best round. Big and fast. No downsides.
No, especially when it's not that different from really hot +P .45 loads from Underwood and Buffalo Bore, to the point it warrants another caliber.
.45 super is like 10mm with less capacity, easier gun convertions that's easier to hand load
If youre gonna go for some chambering you cant buy locally get something neat at least maybe a necked cartridge for zapping armored robots or a real auto magnum cartridge. .45 super is such a lame half ass compromise.
It isn't even a compromise when you already own a HK

Please, tell me all about the differences between .45 Super and .45 ACP +P+
Well, one of them actually exists as a standard and the other is just a way for people who think they're smarter than they really are to say "Bubba's pissin' hot handloads".
That's probably why the manual doesn't go out of it's way to mention .45 super. Pretty sure the USP manual says the same thing.
iirc 45 Super has a reinforced case
The chambering itself is a compromise. READING COMPREHENSION.
You do realize "no compromise" is HK's marketing term, right?
>hes not immune to marketing
lmao ngmi

Yeah

45 super is the boomer Mexican round.

any round that is more controllable is going to be less powerful. i shoot tui 135 grn 10mm and its "controllable"
>it beats the shit out the gun and is harder to control.

Gives my USP Expert more power than a all but the hottest 10mm right out of the box.

No, obviously.
No. Just use fmj
Say it after me
Ft-lbs is not proportional to dansge on target
Chamber pressure does not mean a bullet is better
