Good thing you asked us. Definitely smarter than typing "panzerfaust 3 Ukraine" into Google.

I did that and didn't see any Panzerfaust 3 footage.

I don't get whiners like you. Threads like these stirr up conversation and personally I had forgotten this antitank weapon until OP reminded me.

Google post 2016 has been an unreliable piece of shit that's more interested in shoving adds and 'fact checked' news™ along with being very censorship happy with their platforms.
Also frick Google for buying out so many unique and interesting start ups that the end up cannibalizing and killing off, same shit Microsoft has been doing but with game dev companies basically.

I want to see a Panzerfaust just obliterating a clown BMP filled to the brim with ziggers. It's so anticlimactic to see a BMP get hit by a drone and then just watch these ziggers get out and walk away.

I remember a webm where a BMP-2 got turret tossed, it was speculated that the crew had left shells lying around inside which the ATGM detonated
but generally small HEAT warheads don't have that kind of effect

The damage the PzF3 can do to a tank is really horrifying. Even when the ammunition don't cook off the tank is completely torn apart. Here its right side is basically blown off.

They have about 4kg or 8lb of explosive charge in most of the warheads, which is a pretty big old fricking bomb to have land anywhere near you. On top of that the HEAT would go through about 60-70cm of armour plate with the big tandem nearly going through a full metre of it without giving any fricks about the reactive bricks
That's deep enough to hit something which is going to be 'very bad' for fairly much anything

          >They have about 4kg or 8lb of explosive charge
that's the weight of the entire warhead; the explosive fill is usually about half that

dayum. pzf is awesome but unfortunately there is limited opportunity to use them when the javelin is so much better suited to the current ukranian battlefield

Yeah, it's all long-range stuff in the plains now. They must have been amazing in Mariupol though.

          Panzerfaust has a different focus.
Usually you have 2 per group and if a tank or other armored vehicle shows up you set up some AT-team and quickly attempt to flank it.
First gunner shoots and if he misses or the second gunner quickly follows up.
The current situation in Ukraine simply favors the Javelin a lot more.
Panzerfaust is designed to be used from relatively close range.

there was some in Mariupol but I don't seem to have the webms, must have lost them on my old HDD.
There was lots of firing them from doorways, seemed surprisingly sage in (relatively) confined spaces

there was like one squad that had PzF3, I only remember it because I was so surprised that they managed to get them to Mariupol when things were already real bad there. but you're correct that they had a lot of Matadors

there is a russian youtube channel that "uses" captured Weapons and russian ones but the NATO weaponery is probably tempered with or purposly misused.

Is that the one that doesn't grip the AT4 properly and it snacks him in his ugly Zigger face?

Then says "You see NATO weapons are shit!"

For a very long time I thought these things were reloaded like an RPG, with the rocket being loaded by pushing the rear of the rocket down the barrel.

      same
it seems like it should be, it looks way to sophisticated and expensive to be single use

        Anonymous

Well in a way it isn't single use, you reload by putting a new loaded upper part onto the grip module.

The expensive stuff are the firing platform + optics, they cost $11k and are reusuable. The ammo is only $300

I clearly remember a video from 2022 where three T-72s charged at a treeline filled with Ukies and they all got frontally penned by Panzerfaust 3s. I remember it because it was the first time I had seen them used and that shit was impressive. Started to put some respek on its name.

Mexico is currently ending all use of Russian equipment and wants to replace the RPG29 with a future PZF3 derivative. Hope so because the RPG29 is Xbox huge. Experience shows that Russian equipment has consistently underperformed and had a high failure rate in Mexican service too. The fricking Mi17 requires literally 4 times as many service intervals as the Blackhawk and the BTR has proven to be piece of shit less protected than the damn basic standard armored utilities that are being deployed en masse and only cost like $120,000 USD.

        >The fricking Mi17 requires literally 4 times as many service intervals as the Blackhawk
The further irony of this is that Mexico paid for service packages alongside the main purchase, but russia played their usual asiatic frick-frick games and never provided the planned maintenance. Mexico as a result has sworn off buying zigger ever again.
