Is there any chance of Australia acquiring KF-21?

If so how many will it be?

there is no chance of australia getting kf-21s

Why would they? They're already an F-35 partner.

In fact they'll be the 3rd largest operator behind Japan if no one else decides to buy a ton of them anytime soon.

      canada's order is 88 aircraft

        Anonymous

Canada doesn't have an order yet, they're negotiating with Lockheed and if negotiations fall through they're going for the Gripen. And even if Canada does order all 88, they're still behind Japan, Italy and Australia (assuming they place their next order for ~30+ more)
Japan is the largest planned non-US operator at around 150
Australia has a firm order for 72 and plans for 100+
        Italy is around 90
South Korea is somewhere between 60 and 80
        Isreal at 75
        Finland at 64

Delusional. The last ever export gripen has already been purchased

I'm only telling you the facts bud

            > Under the federal government's procurement system, Ottawa chooses an aircraft and then tries to negotiate a contract with the manufacturer. If that negotiation fails, the government turns to the second-place bidder — in this case the Swedish aircraft-maker Saab, which offered the latest version of its Gripen fighter jet to the competition.

Again, they're only opting for the Gripen if the Lockheed negotiations go nowhere.

          >and plans for 100+
Unless we raise another squadron that probably isn't happening. Growlers/Shornets will more likely be replaced by something like the Tempest or NGAD.

        didn't canada buy australia's old f/a-18s?

          Anonymous

yes, for $80 million each, when the f35 costs $75 million for the f35A. canada spent $1 billion to figure out that the f35 is the best aircraft money can buy after the previous government already figured that out after spending over a decade funding its development.

KAI is working on a navalized version of KF-21, and if it turns out right, it will be a great substitute for F-35C.

OP are stupid or having concussion as a children?

No way those savage America dog Aussie will get their filthy finger on superior stealth fighter that were TOTALLY DESIGNED AND FUNDED BY INDONESIA.

KF-21 WERE designed by INDONESIAN based on rich air combat experience of Tentera Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Udara pilot who successfully destroying whole Commonwealth air power during 1960s Borneo Liberation War. Not to mention when valiant TNI-AU pilot who destroying Australian RAAF in Timor Leste and subsequently blocking Darwin from air.

Yeah. Unlike backward Aussie who prefer to buy anything with money. ANAK BANGSA INDONESIA built superior fighter jet ingeniously by their own hands and aided by years of successfully air combat experience which make them much better than backward Aussie.

Does the turbine run on palm-oil?
      >kek. Treemonkeys dont even have enough spare palm-oil to keep up their payments.
Strayan RAAF might buy some KF-21 Block2/3 to supplement the F35s and MQ-28s ( and likely B-21s ) for simpler tasks like initial jet training - or nuking Jakarta when we reclaim Bali as rightful Strayan clay.

That's just an F/A-18E/F, but unproven, and with software written in gobbledymoron.
    Not what Australia needs.

This is the program we need to get in on.

Doesn't really matter, Japan and Australia need exactly the same thing. A twin engined supercruising air superiority fighter with naval strike capability and as much range as possible. Nobody else has those requirements, so even a lacklustre F-3 will be better than any alternative.

Plus Mitsubishi has a long history in Australia, they'll be easy to deal with.

You don't have beetroot and pineapple on the same burger, it's one or the other. I'm a beetroot man myself, it adds a nice hint of sweetness to the rest of the giant clusterfuck of a burger.
