just get a cheap .22 beater rifle, toss her behind your seat and forget about it. You're acting like it requires comment to put a gun in your truck Obviously don't advertise it like the moron in your pic though
Seems like something you'd really want to have when you show up to the government sponsored school shooting and a platoon of policemen are standing around outside making sure no one interferes with the latest sacrifice to moloch.
Whenever I am on the road and see a car in front of me, I always think to myself "wow this guy sure has opinions on stuff". People use bumper stickers to fill the gaping holes in their personalities, same with graphic t-shirts unless they're band shirts you just collect or something
I dont have any but ive considered getting one. Only for the reason i want people to recognize that it isnt a fringe group that had this opinion and that it is widespread and people who look like them feel this way. I still dont though bc at the end of the day i dont want a target on my back and i dont care enough what anyone thinks.

I live in a college town so I see all kinds of bumper stickers. I imagine the people with "Let's Go Brandon" stickers and the LBGT NASA stickers have more in common than they would like to admit, shallow and uninteresting people who care more letting others know they support a cause rather than actually caring about said cause
Then there's the weirdos driving shitboxes with anime stickers, but those people are a different story entirely. Ironically enough they all look like potheads who might be chill to hang out with, if you tolerate drug use that is.

They are all over military bases. It so strange. Except of course they're all on new 70k cars.

my car is covered in bumper stickers, but none of them are related to a cause. this isn't me trying to cope or anything, just realized
The issue I see with the entire idea is that you are either trusting your life to a firearm cheap enough that you can risk it being stolen by anyone with a rock or you have one expensive enough to trust your life to in that same risk at all times.
Also the risk of burglary and theoretical need for such a gun pretty much go hand-in-hand, while the opposite holds true as well. A place where you feel safe leaving a non-concealable gun in your car at all times is most unlikely to be one where you need it. I think a "good" truck gun would be a single barrel shotgun or .30-30 for finishing off wounded game. The idea of fighting your way back to your vehicle with your CCW and establishing a base of fire with whatever you have stashed is pretty moronic.
It's a larp even for people in rural areas. Ask people who have truck guns what they use it for and they will give some highly specific and very unlikely situation for why they need it. It's more likely to end up being like your pic related.
Cheap doesn't necessarily mean junk, a Mossberg Maverick 88 is cheap but it's reliable and will make someone as dead as if they were shot with a Benelli M4. I just find the idea of leaving a gun in a car when it's not necessary a dumb idea. I rather not arm a nog or any other thieving scum even if it's "only" a cheap gun. I remember on another forum some guy said he kept an AR15 and 10 mags in the trunk of his car in case there was a shooting at his work or something. His plan was to fight his way back to his car and retrieve the rifle. There are so many things wrong with that idea that it blows my mind knowing that someone is dumb enough to think it's a good idea.
exactly 105% of barfcommers and noguns that ever talk about a "truck gun" in a less than meme capacity don't own guns, don't own a car, and likely still live at home
>Is there an actual use for a "truck gun"
Yeah, to get 20 to life for some stupid road rage accident that got out of the hand because you had shitty $300 "truck gun" at hand.
Its larp. Even if rural areas its larp. Only use would be to hunt or maybe if you own a farm and need to protect your life stock. I personally don't want to accidentally leave my car unlocked and have some guy steal my rifle and go shoot someone. I lived in rural areas in maine before and had kids dig through my car I had left unlocked.
I mean, I'm definitely terrified of an EMP, and on any given day I'm a full day or 2 hike from my house. A rifle in the trunk of my Jetta (that has no stickers, Im not moronic), would be nice.
Anon, the kind of guy who puts that shit on his car to begin with is the same type of guy who would post pictures of it on faceberg to virtue signal to his internet friends.
Three months later he boomer posts the bottom pic on his town's facebook group page with a caption that starts off something like: >*****IMPORTANT!***** THIS HAPPENED LAST NIGHT IN....
I keep a glock 19 in my locking glove box and 2 mags in pouches attached to the driver's door. Why? Because I have enough guns to leave that one in the truck. And it's not very valuable to me.
If someone wants to leave something cheap stashed in their car it's their call to judge the risks of it. I would not fault anyone for wanting a long gun on them, so long as they are not advertising its presence. But I don't think it is strictly practical, if your cc can't deal with it, you should probably avoid it or drive away. If you are a rancher or living in an area where you can road hunt it's a different story and a different tool anyway.

>come and take it
well dont mind if i do i guess.
I never understood these kind of stickers, or any bumper stickers for that matter, anyway

it's always either really young white zoomers or like 30 year old mexicans who wish they were a japanese drifter in the 90's.
my car is covered in bumper stickers, but none of them are related to a cause. this isn't me trying to cope or anything, just realized
I don't get people that leave on shitty dealership stickers either.
i put on one of those student driver bumper things on

i use my truck gun for shooting deer on the side of the road
Maybe if you live in an area where bears are a bigger risk than people I could see a reason for having one but otherwise I agree.

The obvious solution here is for you to shoot the kids. Preemtively ofc
gun truck > truck gun
simple as

I hope everyone realizes this image is staged as frick
